Jacob Gibbs
George Pickens on the year = 2.62 yards per route run
Elite. WR6 overall.
George Pickens in three games with Russell Wilson at QB = 3.21 yards per route run.
That's Nico Collins territory.

I just traded for Pickens last week so I'm as happy as the next guy, but this Twiddler has to put the pipe down.
He's trending up, yet he's hardly cracking top 30 WR ppg right now. Let's pump the brakes for a few more weeks here.

I listen to beyond the box score where Jacob actually dissected this statement. He stated it was inflated by Pickens not being a full time player. He plays only a 75% snap share on the season which is lower than guys like Jameson Williamsons, Alec Pierce, or Michael Wilson.
Although he was still really high on Pickens.

Nico was between 80-84% snap participation before he got hurt.
Pickens has been between 79-81% in his 3 games with Russ so really not much difference.
Route participation is a better guide and I don't have ready access to look this up for all weeks but last week Picken's route participation was 87.8% and I'd imagine that's fairly close to his range with Wilson and Nico's range before he got hurt. So with respect to Gibbs his yards per route run vs Nico seems equitable.
What Pickens did with Fields as WR30 is not very relevant to me, not as relevant as being WR8 with Wilson and that's with multiple TD's called back(one with Fields as well, off top of my head he's had 3 TD's reversed this year and at least one more long pass). I would also point out he's been doing this in mainly all positive game script, no cheap come from behind garbage points. Of course a 3 game sample size is to small. But I'd think we've all seen enough at this point to know Wilson is good for him, his head is in the game and his standing on the team and central part of their passing game is secure.
I don't really spend a lot of time trying to decide if he's a WR1, WR2, top 20, etc, etc. I just know he's a very strong starting lineup option that would take an extremely strong option to sit. Feel great putting him in a lineup.
I actually traded him a few weeks ago when someone offered a middling dynasty team of mine Godwin and a first and second in 2025 for him. Those picks look late and I got regrets on that deal.
Him vs Terry for ROS as someone asked a few posts up? I'd prefer Pickens but it's close and when it's close with 7 weeks left in the fantasy season and Terry for sure to miss one of them that swings its a little more to George for me.
