1. London - in a TD drought, but still a target hog, must start every week
2. MHJ - 12 targets is great, 5 receptions, not so much; long term, he'll have a good career IMO, but this year....sheesh that offense makes everything hard
3. Reed - welp, here we are
4. Jennings - probably the one guy I am the least worried about....which says more about this group than his production
5. Dell - not sure why I haven't cut him?

Had to work pretty hard just to go 9-5, #5 seed.

First round opponent beat me by 52 Week 2 (he had the high score of the season for the league), beat him by 42 in the rematch.

Went 3-2 against the other 4 playoff teams.

This should be over quick for me but we'll see how it plays out. Just don't have the enough alphas. Solid all-around squad but doesn't feel like it's my year.

Glad I started Jamo over him. Everywhere I looked it said Reed but the target volume has been too maddening. I don't get what they're doing in the passing game but I expected this guy to be a much bigger part.

I sold him a few weeks back for Olave and 2 2nds. I like him a lot and had a little bit of seller's remorse, but after the last few games I feel 1) pretty good about my return and 2) motivated to try to buy him back cheaper this offseason. I can't imagine this guy is going to be this low volume for the majority of his career given how good he [seemingly] clearly is.

I would say the good news about this for those who own him and have a playoff spot clinched is this allows you to keep him on the bench for the rest of the year without any remorse (assuming you have quality alternatives)...this just wasn't a bad game it was zero receptions on 1 target...that is just unacceptable...the kid is very talented and feels like he could go off every game but as far as 2024 is concerned he just isn't getting the usage of a player you can count on during the playoffs...you don't want to lose a playoff game because you started him when the stats say there was a chance he could lay an egg.

I think some of us Reed owners are just even looking beyond the fantasy ramifications and being completely stumped. Outside of fantasy, I just love the player period. Was it the first game of the season where he took the whole thing over ?? For all intents and purposes he looked like the one WR out of all of them that Love ‘loved’ as it were and they’d always try get him the ball on the snaps he did play. He’s gritty as hell, great YAC, just a total baller really.

Sounds familliar. I have JJ who hasnt scored since week 3, AJ Browm who has done ok when he has been healthy and Nabers who seemed like a world beater until other teams realized he had no qb throwing to him....oh and Pittman. UGHHHH

As a coach, what is your basis for saying the the team went into the game without "anything planned for Reed?" What is your basis for saying the team didn't "realize Reed hasn't touched the ball?"
The Packers scored the most points the Lions have given up in a game all season and lost on the last play of the game. The offensive game plan worked, whether or not it pleased fantasy footballers. If you look back to posts about Reed, Doubs, Watson et al from this past summer, you'll see that everyone and anyone who followed the Packers knew trying to pick the #1 WR week to week on this team was going to be a total crapshoot. They're not going to have a #1 no matter how much fantasy players try to make it happen and that's not likely to change any time soon.

Reed only plays the slot and before yesterday had played 2.6% in 12 personnel so it's clear the Packers view him only as a slot WR no matter how many WRs are out injured. And they like to run the ball a lot so if they are winning or its close and they can keep running it they won't use a lot of 11 personnel. The reason I played him in DFS was the lone reason for optimism, which was Detroit being generous to slot WRs. But Reed only ran 15 routes (Watson only ran 22) so it didn't matter. When you have a low passing volume team that likes to spread it around there will never be a target floor to protect you.

I had him on an 8 leg parlay yesterday, just needed 25 yards receiving from him to hit. Apparently Vegas knew and greased his gloves with olive oil.

The usage has been frustrating. He has some inconsistencies. Love hasn't been as good as I expected this year.

The talent is clearly there. He's a young guy with room to improve. I think he's still the most talented/explosive player on the roster. I expect Love and the passing game as a whole to continue to improve.

I think he'll come at quite the discount next season, and could be a really nice bounce back guy/post-hype sleeper.

By comparison, a relatively average random starting WR like Darnell Mooney had 988 out of 1143 for Atlanta, or 86.4% of offensive snaps. I don't see the situation improving much when they added Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, using 1st and 3rd-round draft capital, even given Watson's injury (555 snaps).

Buried on the depth chart is inaccurate phrasing for a WR that is being used rotationally just like the other WRs. GB might prefer to have zero ‘star’ WRs. Given the drama and salary cap implications of having one.
