I am quite concerned about the thought of Jefferson just shutting it down if the Vikings don’t win at least 2 of their next 4.
Not saying it won't happen, but I think teams shutting down players when out of the playoffs is a bit of a myth. Typically players play if they're healthy enough. To me, the biggest risk, as with any hamstring injury, is that it lingers and hampers performance. That IMO would probably be the team's rationale to shut him down more than the team's record.
ETA: just saw Faust's post from Schefter - Jefferson's own position from a contract standpoint is a different thing than the team shutting him down, and does make more sense.
