What a weird situation. Hope he can come back, but this dude has had a challenging career

yesplaying this week?
remember I think Texans are the worst (best?) at giving up 50 yard + receptions / TDs and should have been much worse if multiple QBs they faced were able to hit wide open WR. The key is can Hunter and Anderson be able to get to Mahomes and test out how strong that ankle is or not.Is Brown being active enough for you to consider benching Worthy for Kendre Miller? I would thiink they would move slowly with Brown at first.
Brown being active has me starting him out of desperation instead of Bateman or Coker. (FBG bowl)Is Brown being active enough for you to consider benching Worthy for Kendre Miller? I would thiink they would move slowly with Brown at first.
As a best ball dynasty owner of Brown in a few leagues, this is good news. We were robbed of seeing what he could do with this offense due to that injury.
That sound is the Jalen Royals drumbeat getting louder. Hope for Brown’s sake it is not a major injury.Carted off today
These two posts back-to-back is Hollywood’s career in a nutshell.Carted off today
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he didn’t think Hollywood Brown’s ankle injury looked “too bad, but we’ll see.”
Brown left Tuesday’s practice after coming up limping in the back of the end zone. He sat in front of the cart and his session immediately ended. We’ll keep an eye on this one, but it doesn’t have the look or feel of something that would threaten his regular-season availability just yet.
Minor ankle is what’s being reported. Your drumbeat may be more like this dude. That sound is the Jalen Royals drumbeat getting louder. Hope for Brown’s sake it is not a major injury.
That "Dov Kleiman" twitter/X aggregator: one of the worst.Minor ankle is what’s being reported. Your drumbeat may be more like this dude. That sound is the Jalen Royals drumbeat getting louder. Hope for Brown’s sake it is not a major injury.
He will still get his shot once the Rice suspension is thrown down. There also still time for Marquise to have another injury, something he has unfortunately been prone to.Minor ankle is what’s being reported. The follow up was that it’s a minor ankle thing, and he limped off before being carted to the locker room for testing. This poor dude.Carted off today
I’m not sure he helps the offenseHistorically not likely to make it through a full season. Chiefs really could use him to start the year if Rice is sitting, otherwise this offense may continue to be tough to watch.
That's good. I've been excited for him since he got to KC, since Kyler couldn't utilize him properly. And then he missed all of last season except the very end. This was his 2nd chance at redemption, I really hope he didn't lose it to injury yet again. The follow up was that it’s a minor ankle thing, and he limped off before being carted to the locker room for testing. This poor dude.Carted off today
Added to that, he rode in the front of the cart which sounds much better than what we all picture when we read “carted off”.
Wondering about this myself. No one has seen "good" Hollywood in years now.I’m not sure he helps the offenseHistorically not likely to make it through a full season. Chiefs really could use him to start the year if Rice is sitting, otherwise this offense may continue to be tough to watch.
Plausible question, sadly I think it does.I’m not sure he helps the offenseHistorically not likely to make it through a full season. Chiefs really could use him to start the year if Rice is sitting, otherwise this offense may continue to be tough to watch.
I know, being wrong about something, its truly going to crush me all day longThis poor dude.Carted off today
Sources: #Chiefs WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, who left practice on a cart with a lower leg injury, avoided anything serious and is expected to be back on the field as early as tomorrow.
Cheaper ADP for sure, but its been a long time since Brown showed anything. I'm honestly not sure he's more than a clear out guy at this point.Says he's healthy. That can change quickly. If healthy, it will be interesting if he eats more then Worthy for 6 games. Way cheaper ADP that's for sure.
Set the bar low and you will be fine. Brown most likely will be a non-factor in FF. He may have a pop game, but not enough consistency to throw him in the lineup. A good throw-in when trading if you can find someone who values him.I have him in a few leagues but literally expect to be disappointed. He absolutely COULD put it together, but just seems to always disappoint.
given the early game injury and Rice's suspension and Kelces age who else was gonna get the football?16 TARGETS!!!!! Jesus.
Hmmm maybe. But given Rice and Worthy might be both out for another 5 games or so, what's to say that won't last? Not saying 16, but even 10 targets per game for the next 5 weeks would be worthy (npi) of a pretty big bid if he went undrafted, no?given the early game injury and Rice's suspension and Kelces age who else was gonna get the football?16 TARGETS!!!!! Jesus.
you can only throw to Kelce so much in a game. Juju maybe could have had one or two more his way but the reality is he and Kelce were the only game in town when they were throwing the football.
I have to think this situation only lasts a few games at most. if teams decide to double cover him, that chess piece is essentially taken off the board. Hes not a WR that is likely to overcome that too often.
Didn't know that until u posted this. Wow. I think until Rice comes back he just became a weekly flex option in ppr leagues.16 TARGETS!!!!! Jesus.
Hollywood Brown sees 16 targets sans Worthy
Hollywood Brown caught 10-of-16 targets for 99 yards in the Chiefs’ Week 1 loss to the Chargers.
Advice: The Chiefs entered this game without Rashee Rice and lost Xavier Worthy on the first drive to a shoulder injury. That thrust Brown into the WR1 role for the better part of four quarters, though the results were mixed at best. Brown got off to a rocky start with an early drop and was used mostly as a check-down option until late in the game. Just when it seemed like the contest was out of reach, Patrick Mahomes uncorked a bomb to Brown on the run for a 49-yard game. The move put Kansas City deep into the red zone but only resulted in a field goal. Even that explosive play wasn’t enough to save Brown from a poor efficiency outing. There have been 66 instances of a wide receiver seeing at least 16 targets over the past five seasons. Brown is just the seventh to be held under 100 yards on that level of volume. Brown will be a PPR-merchant WR2 if Worthy remains out for Week 2, but his ceiling is severely capped as he stares down a rematch with the Eagles.
