WR Tee Higgins, CIN (1 Viewer)

Tee Higgins caught 7-of-9 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' Week 4 win over the Dolphins.

The catches and yards were both new season highs, though the score was Higgins' second in three weeks. Matched up 1-on-1 with a hobbled Xavien Howard, Higgins ran right by him down the left sideline in the second quarter, hauling in a perfectly-thrown ball from Joe Burrow and turning it into a 59-yard touchdown. It was a thing of beauty. Higgins could have had an even bigger night but was battling some sort of leg issue late. He was never announced with an injury and did remain in the game. He now has 10 days to heal up for a matchup with a Ravens secondary that has been bleeding yardage.

Moving him to a top 12 WR status ROS on my board. I think we should consider Bengals WRs as 1A/1B vs. the 1/2 that was reflected in Predraft ranks for now.

- Tee Higgins gets the benefits of Chase getting a lot of attention. I would like to know exactly what happened, but I heard the safeties leaned to Chase throughout the night.
- Injuries during 2 previous games really suppressed his fantasy output but he was well on his way to having multiple games at this caliber.
- Those aforementioned injuries didn't really affect him week 4. There was a minor issue in this game but he returned w/o further issue, So he seems durable enough.

Also I noticed even during a great night he still gets angry if he could have got more on any play. Love to see that mentality.

Thought for sure his production would go down once they drafted Chase - boy was I way off. He's close to being another alpha on that team and would be a clear cut alpha on just about any other team.

I targeted him as as a trade acquisition right after Chase was drafted. Lots of chatter about Higgins falling to the wayside to make way for the true alpha receiver had the Higgins owner skittish.

Then when I took over a team before this season I was delighted Higgins was part of it.

And of course he fell to me in the early 3rd in redraft.

So yeah - I’m all in on Higgins. He’s absolutely a 1B in CIN, and at times (like last night) he’s gonna be a 1A.

I’m picturing you in your kitchen like conspiracy theory Charlie, with a whiteboard and a wet erase pen, frantically adjusting NFL player values as the season goes on.
With his wife watching with blank eyes, thinking to herself "Where did I go wrong?"
I actually do get that Charlie energy when I watch Tee Higgins perform like this, especially during that long TD. I then literally breakdown fantasy and berate the other stupid owners in my league for passing on Higgins to my wife because I know it will annoy her as she tries to watch her tik toks on the couch. #fantasylife

Pretty sure the ankle injury was when he was being tackled OOB on an uncatchable ball, & the defender stepped on his ankle.

I saw it happen in real time, but didn’t think much of it because he didn’t miss an extended series of plays.

FWIW, Higgins said he’s fine and has 10 days to recover.

Tee Higgins (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Higgins was listed on the injury report because of a toe issue last week. He played through it with no issues, beating the Dolphins seven times for 124 yards on Thursday. The ankle issue is also likely to be a non-factor, though his practice statuses later in the week are needed to confirm that. Fantasy managers can move forward with Higgins ranked as a high-end WR2 for his Week 5 matchup with the Ravens.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Tee Higgins (ankle) "could have been an option" situationally in the second half of Week 5's loss.

Taylor also called Higgins "tough" and said that he'd tried to give it a go at the start of the second half and his ankle didn't feel good enough to play on. It doesn't sound like Higgins was too far removed from playing, but it's hard to get a good feel for his Week 6 availability based on the post-game quotes. The good news is that Taylor didn't say anything that would lead us to believe that Higgins' re-aggravation is a long-term injury.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor said Tee Higgins is day-to-day with a sprained ankle.

Higgins was active for Week 5 against the Ravens but spent the majority of his night on the sidelines. Taylor said that Higgins "could have been an option" situationally, in Sunday's loss, but the star receiver appeared on just 10 offensive snaps despite drawing the start. Higgins being tagged as day-to-day to start the week could be an encouraging sign that he'll suit up for Week 6 against the Saints, but we'll have a better idea of his status later in the week.

Tee Higgins (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Higgins went down with an ankle injury in the Bengals' Week 5 loss to the Ravens. Cincy coach Zac Taylor said he could have returned to the game for situational usage but Higgins ultimately sat out the second half. Higgins is no stranger to playing through injuries, but a DNP to start the week raises a red flag. His status in the following to practices will be telling. If he can't suit up, Ja'Marr Chase's ceiling will continue to grow.

No practice today (Thursday) either. Yes, he's plays though injuries, but not last week. I'm officially concerned and shifting him to Flex and perhaps bench unless we hear encouraging news. Last week goose egg in two leagues, won one of them.

Tee Higgins (ankle) returned to practice Friday.

Higgins was held out for most of the team's Week 5 loss to the Ravens with the ankle issue, which held him out of practice until Friday. Higgins seems to have a chance to play in Week 6 against the Saints, though he could play at a limited capacity and be disastrous for fantasy purposes. Higgins drafters should head into the weekend planning on being without Higgins. With Higgins out of the lineups last week, Mike Thomas played in most three-wideout sets. He's not fantasy viable outside the deepest leagues.

Welp, Friday practice means playing like 90% of the time. Little more risk than normal this week, but if he's active he's still a low-end WR2 in my opinion.

I'm waiting to hear 'full or limited' practice, but I don't think it actually matters. How can I sit thee Tee Higgins if he is out there? :(

I can't he's gonna be the reason I most likely lose again or win.

Cost me a win that way last week.

I have Pollard who I could start at Flex. I'm hoping for a positive practice report - like even if he was limited, I'd like to hear something optimistic like "he felt good out there" or "no doubt he's going to play".

Short of that today or from tomorrow's walk-through, I might have to go with a safer option in one league. I have him in another league where I don't have any better options due to BYEs. Ugh.

For me getting goosed the previous week is a pretty good reason.

Like Hot Sauce Guy was saying above I need to hear something more positive.
To make it even worse, I won by 4 points.

Then on Thursday my opponent benefitted from 2 stat changes (+2 tkl) and I lost by 1. With a 0 from Higgins.

Painful way to lose. And a huge swing from being 2-3 to being 1-4.

Doesn't exactly scream fully healthy and won't be like last week, Id rather wait to see he gets a productive game and looks healthy first given I am lucky to have R.Stevenson in the flex this week. If I was struggling for an option then I would roll with him though....uggh.

(RotoWire) Higgins (ankle), who returned to a limited practice Friday, is considered day-to-day ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Analysis: Per Conway, it seems like Higgins could end up being a game-time decision for the contest and with that in mind it seems likely that the Bengals will list the wideout as 'questionable' for Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff versus New Orleans.

At least we will know by 10:30 ish CST on Sunday. I need to start Higgins as a WR so I hope he plays, or I will go with Duvernay or DJ Moore, my flex spot is already taken..

I saw this.

I'm waiting for the team designation - he may still be listed as limited (likely so) but this whole "could be a GTD" narrative is reporter spin. I want the team to say it before I take it as gospel.

I hate the media. Just report what's known and stop trying to be the 1st to break news that hasn't broken yet.

I am planning on him being on my bench .. not taking another 0 if he is a GTD and plays for a quarter again.

Damn. This doesn’t sound optimistic
Zac Taylor used words like "day-to-day" and "we'll see" on Higgins when discussing his status, which shouldn't have us very optimistic for Sunday. But he's likely a game-time decision that we'll hear more about on Saturday or Sunday morning.

Any updates?

Really unsure what to do with him. Backup is unfortunately a pretty large drop off to underperforming Juju SS

Indeed. I'm kind of hoping he is inactive as I can then use Yahoo's IR spot, otherwise I'm going to have to risk him taking a zero or cut a player to get a score

If he doesn't play my bench options are not great:

Burkhead
Caleb Huntley
C. Patterson

Brandin Cooks
Marvin Jones
Chris Olave

D. Bellinger
T.J. Hockenson

Olave is out FYI

It's rough because Higgins is dependable points if healthy. Hurts to backfill that with a wild card.

Yikes, literally only Huntley/Bellinger are your active options this week....

Patterson out for a few more weeks, but you probably know that. Jones and Olave OUT also..

I have Higgins in 4 leagues. While the team obviously is going to do what they think is best, I'd much prefer they just sit him and let him get to 100% for next week. I think the decoy thing made sense last week, but NO is probably wise to it this week.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports there is "optimism" Tee Higgins (ankle) is able to play in Week 6 against the Saints.

Rapoport noted, "the team wants to see him workout pre-game to make sure he's ready." Higgins should play, but the Bengals' inactives will be worth checking in on later today. There's still a chance Higgins is held out after a shaky pre-game. If he does play, the team will likely lean on Ja'Marr Chase more than usual this week. Higgins, on the other hand, could be more of a decoy this week. Fantasy managers should still be starting an active Higgins, but discounting him down to the backend of the WR2 ranks makes sense.

I don't want to encourage folks to follow what I am doing but I am not putting Higgins out there today, in fact it looks like a good day after Chase, you might see Hurst or Boyd get in on the WR2/WR3 role that Cinci will need at some point today.

If Higgins shows up and has a decent day, good for him, be happy to put him back into my line ups next week. Too many options to allow this back and forth to wreck the entire day.

If he plays, he’s in my lineup. But then again I have a bunch of low floor, low ceiling type guys on my roster so who really cares?

Charlie Goldsmith @CharlieG_
Tee Higgins is now running routes with the receiving group and catching passes from Joe Burrow.

So far, it's been Higgins' normal pregame routine.

Charlie Goldsmith @CharlieG_
WR Tee Higgins, TE Hayden Hurst and LT Jonah Williams are all active today.

The Saints’ starting QB, their top three receivers and their star cornerback are all out. Every starter on the Bengals offense is active.

This is a game the Bengals have got to win.
