Your class ring from college... (1 Viewer)

You stop wearing it at the end of the summer season which directly followed your graduation.

My buddy's dad sells real estate. He's 68. Still wears his ring from Boston College. My BIL is 52. Still wears his class ring.Just think it's a bit odd. I haven't worn mine since I was 25.

no offense, but i don't have a single friend who even bothered buying their class ring. unless you get yours as a gift or free, why drop $200 on something you'll never wear?

Those things are god awful ugly. I can't fathom why anyone would wear one, much less drop several hundred on one.

my class ring is the apparently the 2nd most recognizable ring in the world.

1st is the super bowl ring.

so... yes, i wear it.

I did an Internet search and it said MIT Brass Rat was the most recognizable college class ring. I have never heard of it and when I saw the pic of it, I would never wear it.

I Googled "2nd most recognizable ring in the world" and this is what I got:The X-Ring of St. Francis Xavier University in Canada is the most recognized ring in the world after the papal ring and Super Bowl ring.

Are you the Pope?
Looks like the ring you would wear if you were a part of the X-Men

Depends on the college. If it is Harvard or Stanford or West Point etc than I think you get the granted right to wear it until the day you keel over.

If it is a college of less pedigree, then... yea, you should have stopped wearing it a week after you graduated.

It's a big deal at MIT.
Pretty sure no one else cares about it.
Pretty sure you're right... but that's not why I wear it. I wear it because I care about it.

Cool. What do you do now that you graduated from MIT?
Spend the rest of my life trying to make up for the 4 years of college that I missed out on.

I wear my championship fantasy football belt I won every chase I get. Even to bed sometimes. I have my entire rooster tattooed on my back.

There are only two acceptable reasons for buying a college class ring:

1. You graduated from West Point or Annapolis.

2. You graduated from clown college and your ring squirts water.

Metaldetectorguys find college class rings on the beach fairly frequently so someone is wearing them. Why on the beach ... I dunno ... maybe its for trying to look younger than you are or something. I found 3 with my metal detector, all at the beaches. I think everyone with a detector has found a few.

Any ring you wear should be your ultimate achievement in life. If that's graduating from college, god help you. Even West Point grads should aspire to greater success. Obviously some very successful people wear their WP ring but 90% of the ring knockers are jack asses.

I still have mine from high school. Never wear it though. I don't think I got one for college. If I did then I have no idea what happened to it.

I wear my Associates Ring from Lincoln Tech with pride everyday. That and my firm grip when I shake hands lets people know I mean business.
