Zac Stacy Hype Train - Rams (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have a good feel for this guy's keeper/dynasty value? Seems like more opportunity over talent which is probably why there isn't much excitement around him, but would it be fair to think he's likely going to be starting next year as well?
I don't like his odds of starting next year. I'd be very surprised if the Rams didn't look to free agency or the draft to find their RB of the future.
They spent a 5th rounder on Stacy. 160th overall. Do we really think they'll spend-up on a 2/3/4 this year given that Stacy has shown (1) far above average yds after contact, (2) good blocking and (3) good-enough pass catching? He's no Ronnie Hillman; Stacy has the size and strength means that can go 3 downs.

He will have get *every* opportunity to be the Rams' franchise HB through his rookie contract.

Nothing could be better for the Rams than for them not to *yet again* spend a Top 200 pick on a HB.

he's baaack.... I hand picked this guy when he was in Vandy, then got upset and kind of fell out of love with him the first 5 weeks but these last 3 weeks he has been stepping up and I think he will get the job to keep he is legit.

Stop throwing the @$_##=/ ball you are on the 3 yard line it's a 4th down play in that spot run the rock with your bread and butter

He's looked very impressive tonight.

Should have let him try for a TD there in the red zone. He's been by far their best player tonight.

Seriously, he looks awesome against this stingy Seahawks D tonight. Great vision and cuts.

120-some yards and a 5 ypc average against THE Seattle Seahawk defense. Lol @ those not buying into him as a RB of the future.

Or are you all gonna go with the convenient "Hawks were due for a down game at some point" excuse?

you could see him on the sideline talking with the STL staff saying "I'm good" on that last drive, and he got in on the last play of the game.... looked good tonight against a good Seattle defense.

Ankle injury. Now just worried about next week. As long as it isn't a high ankle sprain.
Yeah, that is disappointing.

Nevermind, back in.
Did I miss something? I didn't see him come back in.
yea, the last play of the game
Thanks. That's promising for next week.
It is, yes. He racked up yds after contact. Good showing yet again.

Safe to say that if healthy Stacy will be a permanent fixture in the Top 20 this year.

Adrenaline and the ankle not stiffening up until after the game is over got him back on the field. Hopefully he wakes up and it's not too bad. I sprained my ankle once playing hoops. Laced up the shoes tighter and finished another game. The next morning I couldn't even walk. But he's got professionals taking care of his injuries, I'm sure he'll get the best treatment to insure low downtime.

When it was 1st and goal from the 6 earlier in the game, they gave it to him and he ran it to the 3 I believe. Then for whatever reason they got cute and called 2 straight passing plays, eventually getting sacked on 3rd down. I don't understand why they did that. 2nd and goal from the 3. 4 down territory. There was no way Seattle was stopping him with 3 straight runs (if needed).

If he had a HAS would it have been possible for him to get in there on that last play and go in motion, plant and cut like he did?

This. Made no cot damn sense. And Clemons of all people.

Probably. I've had a HAS and finished a game. It hurts like a mofo at first and then it is surprisingly functional between the time after you walk it off and before it cools down.

That being said, my money is on it not being a HAS from the limited information we've got.

Stacy Builds on his Form

Playing only nine snaps in the first month of the season, Zac Stacy has been a revelation in October earning his third positively graded running performance of the month with some crisp cuts and hard running against the Seahawks’ defensive front. This marks his first career 100-yard game, and he forced five missed tackles on the ground to take his total for the month to 15, which is more than all but 10 other running backs have forced in the whole season. Stacy was impressive both in terms of maximizing the yards on carries where his line gave him a crease, but also finding space and cutting around disruption when the Seahawks were able to get penetration into the backfield. The only thing missing was a breakaway run, with his 13-yard carry late in the first quarter the closest he got to that, brought down by an arm tackle from Kam Chancellor just as he was breaking into the secondary. However, this was another encouraging performance from Stacy and with the Rams appearing to have settled their running back conundrum, they will now be hoping the ankle injury he picked up on the final drive doesn’t affect him moving forward.

Nick Wagoner on Twitter - [Full Article]Rams coach Jeff Fisher said RB Zac Stacy sprained ankle late in game and that's why they went with Richardson in closing moments.

They didnt say how severe
