January 6th - what will happen? (5 Viewers)

Race war?  Good lord.
Yep, only one person in here trying to make January 6 about race.

The really indefensible part is, they were protesting an imaginary stolen election, and after beating police and smashing the Capitol building, they were all escorted out politely. I'm surprised they weren't given a hot towel.

Again, what they were protesting didn't exist!! Do they really get full credit for being peaceful protestors? What if they were there to protest Santa Claus 🎅?

Seriously?  EVERY story is about race and making minorities victims and whitie evil.  The left has been beating the drums of a race war for years.

Unless you can back it up, will you please stop with this ridiculous over the top hyperbole against the left.

there is a slight difference between an observation that maybe the left focuses on race too much or the media does vs beating the drum for a "race war"
there is a big difference between that maybe Trump talks about election fraud too much vs. instigating a riot to overthrow the government.

Would you like to compare notes on what Trump said ahead of 1/6 vs what leading Dems (let's say any of the Presidential candidates) said about BLM before this summer's events?

You can go first.  Take as long as you like.

I’d like some Al Gore 2000 notes as well since that was brought up as some weak comparison.

Did anyone see the deep state report on 60 MInutes?  Wondering if anyone is taking issue with the fact that everything in that segment was a completely fabricated narrative trying to derail the reality that just a handful of people were there causing trouble and that there were no coordinated efforts to disrupt the electoral process.

Trump maybe talks about election fraud too much?  Good lord.  He lied for two months after the election about it being stolen from him and whipped his gullible flock into a frenzy.  The President of the United States did that.  Actively tried to undermine the most important pillar of democracy.

"maybe talked about election fraud too much".   oof.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-03-22/sidney-powell-seeks-to-toss-out-dominion-voting-defamation-suit

“In light of all the circumstances surrounding the statements, their context, and the availability of the facts on which the statements were based, it was clear to reasonable persons that Powell’s claims were her opinions and legal theories on a matter of utmost public concern,” her filing said. “Those members of the public who were interested in the controversy were free to, and did, review that evidence and reached their own conclusions -- or awaited resolution of the matter by the courts before making up their minds.”
Am I reading the bolded correctly? Is Trump's lawyer essentially arguing that only really stupid people would have ever actually believed what they were arguing so they shouldn't be held accountable for it?

This is the same defense that Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones tried in cases against them.   No reasonable person would believe this nonsense, so it can't be defamation.

Just incredible how they can do that with no punishment and people continue to believe them.

Not only did they give them their money, some of them are now in jail after trying to fight for them.

Amy Klobuchar is one of the highest ranking Democrats in Congress and on several of the most prominent committees. She's not a 2024 DNC ticket favorite, but she is a legitimate DNC POTUS candidate, as she was in the 2020 cycle.

She, along with Elizabeth Warren, had doubts about Dominion and wanted the same answers as many Republicans do now - Transparency in who has invested in Dominion and a deep dive into overall election security, audit and review.

Do you believe anyone is laughing at Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren right now?

If so, who then?

Who'd have thought that a lawyer who referred to herself as "The Kracken" would be full of B.S.?  All time great money grab from that Trump outfit.

You imply that dominion is singled out here; that’s not the case. They are asking form more transparency from private firms.

“In their latest letters, the lawmakers asked the private equity firms to provide the disclosure documents and information required under the Stop Wall Street Looting Act, and to explain their role in the election technology industry by December 20, 2019.”

The article points to many areas with conflicts of interest, including medical, prisons, and other services. Do you even read the articles you link? Seems like you often misinterpret what is being presented, and you sound very sure of yourself in those interpretations. Even the paragraph you cut/paste doesn’t somehow implicate dominion as doing anything Trump/Powell/pillow allege, which is change votes from trump to Biden. It is clear that they lied.

That wasn't an insurrection though.  That guy was using the term improperly. It was a peaceful, legal protest where 0.01% of people got out of hand, and that small handful was egged on by Anifa, not the POTUS.
if only there was more police presence to prevent these guys from getting egged on by Antifa.  Damn those cops, making it so easy to storm the Capitol.

It's literally in your face. It's not some remixed narrative from some other source, it's literally coming directly from Elizabeth Warren through her government portal.

Did you really try to create a soft landing for what Warren and Klobucar call a serious threat to our nation's voting systems?  They are saying something is wrong with Dominion and you decide they aren't actually saying that at all.

And why did the DNC send Klobuchar to do this in the first place? Because it wasn't a stone cold lock that Biden would prevail in the election and they wanted a basis to challenge for themselves later.

But, hey, it's (D)ifferent right?

I'm not here to convince you. Plenty of moderates and undecideds will be driven away by your predictable tactics. They'll pay attention to the two sets of rules in play. One for DNC favorites protected by the leftist MSM and everyone else who are cannon fodder and targets. (Kamala can have weed and brag about it, but no one else can survive a purity test for Mary Jane)  More of the same from you:

It never happened

If it happened, you don't have proof

If you have proof, it's not that serious

If it's serious, it wasn't that widespread

If it's widespread, Trump did it first

If Trump didn't do it first, you only see it this way because you are a bigoted racist liar

If none of the above work, I'm a victim from a hard life and I had too much cheap Trader's Joe wine.

DC is no guns. So mace and gas masks, some batons. If you have armor that is good.

Trumps staying in, he's Gonna use the emergency broadcast system on cell phones to broadcast to the American people. Then he will claim the insurrection act  :lmao:
meh....we all know the truth...several here have told us.  It's a completely fabricated narrative trying to derail the reality that just a handful of people were there causing trouble and that there were no coordinated efforts to disrupt the electoral process.

I will never not find joy in Jan 6. stories like this one:

Michael Heinl requested that his wife not attend the rally before she breached the Capitol

Jennifer Heinl was one of the many rioters who was captured on camera during the Capitol riots on Jan. 6. But Heinl has more problems than just the legal ramifications of her acts that day. She’s the wife of Detective Michael Heinl, a Shaler Township police officer who works with the FBI’s Pittsburgh-area violent crimes task force.

Jennifer was charged with disorderly and disruptive conduct, violent entry on Capitol grounds, and more after the insurrection. But Jennifer was also served with divorce papers in February after Michael saw the pictures of her there with another man.

Those lips  :lmao:

This is clearly an example of a well executed deep fake.......again, no one but a handful were there to cause any trouble.  The hundreds charged are all part of the ruze as well.  At least I think that's how it goes  :oldunsure:

See, now I was told that all the trouble makers were just antifa and BLM dressed up as Promise Keepers and Proud Boys and despite the fact that for years we were told by the right that antifa and BLM were unemployed losers, they spent thousands and thousands of dollars at Cabello and Bass Pro to look like pretend army men so the world would THINK they were Trump supporters. Then, when they blended in with the ONLY PEACEFUL Trump supporters with their White Claws, Pabst, wasp spray and slingshots, they broke off from the peaceful people and invaded the Capitol, but only a few of them.  Like, 3.  3 soi boi antifas dressed up like Proud Boys overtook the ineffectual Capitol police -who were CLEARLY at fault for reading Ziggy and not using bazookas - smashed some things, took selfies in Pelosi's office and made it look like it was more Trump supporters than it really was.

Maybe you should stop reading the LAMESTREAM MEDIA, dude.

When I read these articles now, I'm a bit bored by the details of what they are charged with, but always quickly skim  looking for the payoff that they were turned in by Facebook friends.

I award double the   if it was family that turned them in.

For realz, what kind of jerk do you have to be to where your family calls the FBI on you? I have some useless cousins and aunts and uncles I don't care if I see again, but if I saw them sharing video from inside the Capitol, I would still urgently text them , TAKE THAT DOWN, DUMMY!

These people were like, Oh, Cousin Delbert live streamed storming the Capitol? Let me just google my local FBI field office, screw that turd.

Cold-blooded.

I’ve got a couple relatives I’d consider turning in and a Facebook friend that I wouldn’t be surprised if he was there. I don’t know how deep he got into things because he stopped posting publicly because he has a business. He did post during the summer protests that he was going to the area, would be heavily armed and hoping that someone gives him an excuse to use it.

I think you mean Oath Keepers no?  Anywho....we really can't fault the 5-10 who were there to start trouble.  What are they to think when the full on military isn't standing outside telling them to behave and not act out?  Did you know it's not a problem to try and rob a bank if there isn't sufficient security there to stop you?

I think we (Florida), are winning this race right now. 30+ have been arrested and charged with various violations here. A new one pops up almost every week.

Unsure if it is related, but there was just an incident at The Capitol

CRITICAL INCIDENT: USCP is responding to the North Barricade vehicle access point along Independence Avenue for reports someone rammed a vehicle into two USCP officers. A suspect is in custody. Both officers are injured. All three have been transported to the hospital.

https://twitter.com/CapitolPolice/status/1378036076175110145?s=20
Per Twitter, a few seconds ago:

Some dude drove his car into two cops, injuring both, jumped out with a knife, and was shot.

Perhaps a bit too soon?

Barbed wire fencing that surrounded the Capitol complex for months after pro-Trump rioters stormed the building has since come down and thousands of the National Guard troops who were deployed in response to the insurrection have since returned home, though thousands still remain in Washington due to lingering security concerns.

Its being reported the suspect has also died. Per CNN:

Pittman said the suspect in the attack has also died. The suspect was not on the radar of the US Capitol Police before the attack, but the attack does not appear to be terrorism-related, police said in an afternoon briefing.

Maybe the easy answer will be right, but over the years a fair number of just plain crazy people have done stuff like this around the city.  And the knife doesn't make much sense if someone was looking to do real damage or make a big political statement.  Definitely worth a wait and see for now.
