Not sure who he was talking to but Berhalter is at the Liverpool game and sitting with Dalglish and Rush and some others.

CP looking really frosty- moving a ton and involved.

lovely assist for the 2nd.

created the space with movement on the ball down the left, great ball across to top of the box which got played out to James and then back across for the 3rd. won't get the assist for it, but he created it.

it went from Chels looking bereft of ideas about how to break down a very comfortable low block from Burnley, to running rampant... all on CPs movement and of course James' fantastically taken 1st goal to open the game up.

Man, if he can consistently use his weak foot like that ...

ESPN+ not letting me watch Revs vs FCD (I want to see if Jozy is in- he's not- and see the 4 US guys on FCD- Pomy, Jesus, Servania, Nips).

forced to watch RBs vs TFC. Tolkin on my radar.

still trippy to see Caillou creaking through these games. but TFC looking good, tbh.

and the RBs go ahead against the run of play... Caillou getting beaten like a... well like Caillou in a soccer game.

and speaking of coiffes... identical and beautiful flowing fros by TFC teenagers Nelson and Marshall-Rutty.

oops- and there's two for Morgan and the RBs.

ugh- really nasty (and intentional looking) studs up tackle right into Klimala's ankle over the ball by Saucedo just now.

ref review keeps it at yellow. not for me.

New US soccer attendance record tonight in Charlotte,  Their play isn't matching the fans support.

I gave the record a like. Amazing. Their play...new team, right? Or was it an existing team that bought in? Either way...it'll take a little time to get their feet.

All new from scratch.

Coach was caught on tape saying that if they don't get some players they are F'd.

We did sign Christian ***hs which is pretty cool.

And the best part of the record is we took it from those crooks in Atlanta that cost us an Olympic appearance.

Horror in Mexico (fair warning -- there are dead people in some of these vids)

Atlas and Queretaro fans fight -- at least three dead.

ETA:  I took that link down.  If you scroll far enough there are possibly videos of people being killed.

Also we were robbed.  ***hs pulled down by the jersey from behind in the box with the ball and clear path and no call.

Wazza has Derby County playing some sexy, sexy stuff.

Really hope they can overcome all the penalties and stay up.
That is a gorgeous goal.  Also pulling for Derby to beat the drop.

I forget who the coach and players were now, but at one point the Ukrainian national team had been together for like 8-10 years and most of them played for the same club team too.  Like 9 nat team starters.  And they were constantly playing those kind of dummy passes.  So pretty when they come off like that.

(he was offsides after the dummy)

Stunning goal... especially to close out all of that nice one-touch build up and dummy with a IN YO FACE dink over the gk.

Arsenal with three pretty goals today too.  Still a bit dodgy at the back and it was the worst game I've seen Ramsdale play for them, particularly in distribution.  But at least they're fun to watch again with Laca and Odegaard basically playing as dual 10s.

nice to see them embrace their youth too... they need help to be a contender in the short term, but they're fun and still pushing into the euro spots.

Alves got caught ball watching and pulled into the middle, allowing the space for the forward to get behind him and score.

DEST IN!

Yeah, they just have a real nice balance among the four most attacking players.  Laca is finally being used as a facilitator, which is what he does best.  That brings out the best in Saka and Martinelli (I'm not entirely sold on Martinelli, but he does have a knack for goals).  Odegaard is my favorite Arsenal player since prime Ozil.

maybe I misread it, but he looked pissed coming off.

Odegaard- nice to see him hitting his potential on a 1st team. the guy's always been amazing, but now getting consistent.

  nice pick up.

but now after rewatching... the guy who received the ball after the dummy looks offsides... depending on the defender's back foot.

basically, I just want to crap on this amazing play.
'Offside', but behind the ball when it's played, especially when it's played forward, is a mind screw.  I have no idea how the linesmen get it right -- I have to stop the vid and think it through every time.

No surprise that Doyle has noted Ramsdale's poor distribution on twitter this morning.
