Revs are completely dominating Pumas tonight but only have a 1 goal lead to show for it at half time.  They are going to need 1, maybe even 2 more to feel good about going down to Mexico City for the second leg.

Solid 3-0 win for NE tonight over Pumas.  It feels very similar to the Seattle 3-0 win last night where the scoreline flattered the losers.  This should have been a 5 goal win easy tonight.

Hopefully 3 will be enough and like Seattle, one away goal should see the Revs in the semi's.

MLS taking it to LigaMX so far.  Not sure if Montreal can keep it going but it might be Cruz Azul vs 3 MLS teams in the semis

I don't know if it will be enough to get over the ultimate hump, but there is a clear distinction in quality between MLS teams in preseason (which is when these games are normally played) and MLS teams in regular season.

Even acknowledging these were home legs, I don't ever remember two straight 90 minute domination of MLS teams over Liga MX teams.

That should come to a halt easily though as Cruz Azul is the best Liga MX team left, playing at home against probably the worst MLS side left in Montreal.  I expect a fairly big thumping in Azteca.

Yep. But elsewhere in the same article...no mention of fatalities. Also possible that officials are hiding the truth from everybody and the news outlets

The brutal attacks among spectators during the Queretaro-Atlas match on Saturday sent 26 people, mostly men, to hospital with three people in critical condition.

Mexico's soccer league also said it would pursue sanctions, without detailing who might be held responsible or what the sanctions might include.

This just in.  Both clubs women's teams will have to play their next two games with no fans.

Montreal are pretty bad here in the second half. Super sloppy. And yet, so far it's only 0-1.

And MON look totally content playing it out to 0-1.

A little class, and it's there for them...they're getting in behind on the left, but not finding any decent final touches to creat a good opportunity.

Down 1-0 is manageable in the home leg but they look clearly the second best team in this series so far.

I only watched the second half, and they weren't great. But CA looked underwhelming too...and MON was getting into good spots that with a better final touch or more commitment to getting another player or two crashing the box, they very easily could've cashed in on- it was there for them.

some classic Wolves' Adama for Barca today...  beating his defender silly up and down the right flank, and then zipping crosses into the Nagbe zone.

pretty sure I just saw the ref give Matic a yellow in the tunnel, because... why wait.

and tom brady in the stands.

hopefully should be a fun game.

Three games in and Gabe Slonina hasn't surrendered a goal in net for the Fire.  Probably time to get him into camp if either Steffan or Turner are out.

Trying to get into MLS with Charlotte. Kind of annoying that if I go to watch a European match, the start time is the start time. For MLS, it’s not.

posting this 14 minutes after the 4:30 start time.

After absorbing a ton of pressure to start the half including a shot off the inside of the post that stayed out, NYCFC converts an enormous second goal.  5-2 on aggregate now and with the 2 road goals now look sure to advance.

Still plenty of time left but it would take an epic collapse at this point.

Monster match at the Emirates today.

Both teams are flying, and it's the first time since 2009 two EPL teams on 5+ game winning streaks have met in the league.

A Liverpool win ensures a title race, even with a draw in the City v Liverpool match in a few weeks.  A loss and Liverpool would just about need to win at the Etihad to keep it alive.

LFG!

Arsenal have been tight.  They were like this at Anfield too until Liverpool scored.  Ended 4-0, but most of the first half of the game was cagey like this.
I thought Arsenal was the better team through most of that first game, especially the first half like you say. but Liverpool turned the screws and that was that.

only looking at the score, seems like the same might be happening here?

Paramount + has a studio booth with 4 women.  I've been on mute all afternoon, but just turned the volume on and they are doing a great job imo.  Don't recognize any of them other than Kate.
