A more uncomfortable 2-0 win I can’t remember. Newcastle scored inside of 2 minutes and seemed to be flying. Chelsea drop to 10 men but then proceed to play like they had 12 or 13. They deserved something from this but thankfully they didn’t get it.

Leicester vs. Forest coming up. Let’s see if a relegation team can stifle a City team again.

Forest dropping points at the wrong time after such a great season.

Each team probably should have had 10 goals in that match, but not even questionable VAR can stop this Barcelona squad against Real Madrid this year. First time they've won 4 Classicos in a season I believe.

Knew the reception for TAA would be vocal and mixed, but wasn't expecting it to be 2-to-1 or 3-to-1 against.

Him leaving would have been OK, I think. It's the playing half the season with such obvious disinterest, and after ensuring Liverpool wouldn't get anything for him that seems to be what really rubs most people the wrong way.

Sad times watching Müller's last match in Munich for Bayern yesterday. Of course, as the ham he is, he got the microphone at midfield and chatted up the Allianz. Then invited his teammates to start the beer showers with him.

I caught the second half of this one. If you had told me a team was one man down and I didn't count the players, I would've guessed it was Newcastle based on the action of the game.

I've said it a couple of times this year already, but people aren't going to be laughing at Chelsea's spending much longer. That midfield is probably the best in the world and none of them are 24 yet. They find a striker and a GK and lookout EPL.

Big needed win for Newcastle though. Those last 2/3 UCL spots in the EPL are gonna get real exciting in these last few games.

But seriously... If anybody had told me United and Spurs were going to be fighting it out for 17th- there's no freaking way ever in today's game with those rosters and money I would believe it. I still don't, really.

Wonder which odds would have been better: Leicester winning the EPL title in 2015, or United/Spurs in 16/17th this season.

I am ok with it though. Whether they win Europa or not.
Ever since SAF, the team has fluctuated between 2nd and 7th with no real title challenges, and rotating managers every 3 or so seasons. Spend big, get into CL, don't spend, fall out, sack manager, rinse and repeat. Nothing gets any better and the same basic group of players ruin managers, The managers cater to the players and give up all power just to get a European night and maybe a FA Cup or EFL Cup. But the team never improves, never looks like it might challenge.

Now this manager is showing how bad the players are as a group and forcing the club to really do something. He is taking the power back and SJR better back him properly. No overpayments for lesser players. Sell off players that aren't working or don't fit. Need to break the cycle.
This is why I don't get the Amorim out crowd. He was brought in midseason knowing he wouldn't change systems to fit the players. They knew it would get worse as he forces them to play his way. This fan base needs to stop the merry-go-round and allow for a proper rebuild. Focus your anger on the Glazers and SJR for cutting staff and not giving tickets to the Europa Final. Back Amorim.

All the money into the EPL seems like it has brought some level of parity compared to before? Easier for the smaller clubs to compete whereas it felt like a big 4 was enshrined for years.

3 matches left and only 1 that matters.

Huge spoiler potential though playing at Chelsea on Friday and against Villa at OT on the final matchday. It's unfortunate the EL final is on the Wednesday before that final PL day. United players will likely be checked out. Still shaping up to potentially be an exciting finish.

I am not sure how they play this with a week off then Friday/Wednesday/Sunday. The Chelsea match could go either way with the intention of getting some minutes for their expect Europa final lineup, whether they sub off early or sub on late.

I would expect the AV game to have more kids or those who didn't play in the final in the team.

One week to go in the Bundesliga.
Bayern München have clinched the league.
Champions League - Bayern München and Bayer Leverkusen have clinched CL spots. Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund are battling for the last two spots.
Europa League - Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg, Borussia Dortmund, Mainz 05 and RB Leipzig are possible winners of this one slot.
Also, the DFB Pokal winner gets a spot in the EL - Arminia Bielefeld v VfB Stuttgart.
Europa Conference League - Borussia Dortmund, Mainz 05, RB Leipzig, and Werder Bremen are possible for this one slot.

Holstein Kiel and VfL Bochum are straight relegated.
St. Pauli, 1899 Hoffenheim and 1. FC Heidenheim are trying to not earn the relegation playoff spot.

Hamburger SV has won straight promotion out of BL2.
FC Köln, SC Elversberg and SC Paderborn are in line for the second straight promotion position.
FC Köln, SC Elversberg, SC Paderborn, Fortuna Düsseldorf and FC Kaiserslautern are in line for the promotion playoff position.

More than any of you wanted to know.

Could have mentioned SGE need to go to Freiburg last game and get something
That is the match to watch. A point secures Frankfurt, while it is possible for both to qualify for the CL. The fun of all matches on the last matchday being played at the same time.
Met some nice Frankfurt fans when I was at the match in Munich last year.

10 man Gronigen score a 90 + 9' goal vs Ajax to get a draw.
Last game in Eredivise is this weekend. PSV now hold a 1 point lead, I believe for the first time all season Ajax not in 1st.
Ajax last four games have two draws and two loses. Talk about a bottle job.
PSV @ Sparta Rotterdam
Ajax vs Twente

IIRC PSV started the season on a rocket- winning everything and opening up a big gap. then the wheels came off... I didn't pay attention for a bit and was shuked they were that far back.

I'll post it here, even if he plays for CP's Milan.

Felix is so bad for such a good player. the least clinical finisher I've seen in a while- and the misses are just awful.

HENDO YOU LEGEND
Why does he have a hat on now though?
Sun can be a ***** at Wembley, I speak from experience
Yeah. I sat in a particularly sunny end there once myself.

Just not sure I’ve seen a keeper wear a hat like that before.
Deano's done it a couple of times before for us.

Also HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Relatedly, I'm hearing Liverpool v Palace next week will feature cake, champagne and a dance floor. At the center circle. During the match.

Might be the most disinterested game of all time from the players' perspective.

Amazing scenes at the end of the Chelsea v Man U game when a steward runs full pelt onto the pitch and rugby tackles a pitch invader to the ground. Given how lenient the ref was, no yellow card was given
Watched the Chelsea v United game on a giant tv in a sportsbook at a casino outside vegas. I don't think I've seen a team more whiney than Chelsea and the team I support has Bruno Fernandez in it.

And that was a great tackle. But if Enzo wasn't getting carded, neither was that steward.

So how much money is this game worth? One team is in the UCL next year and the other gets nothing. $100M?

Not to mention trying to attract players this offseason. A lot of talented players will choose elsewhere if there is no European football for them.

Crazy how much this one game could affect these teams for years to come.

It's been a tough watch so far, filled with diving, exaggeration, a scrappy own goal, and lots of whining at the refs. Someone is going to get sent off (Richarlison perhaps?) and the game will likely be decided on a dubious penalty.
