Sort of. Used to play final group games at the same time so that teams don't have advantage of knowing results before kick off. Now, with new format, there will be 16 games kicking off at the same time. Only other time this happens that I'm aware of is final day of Premier League season, but that is only 10 games. Good day to take the afternoon off
 
Draw was obviously the preferred outcome, but I was 50/50 on whether a City win (leaving Liverpool 12 points clear if they win mid-week) or an Arsenal win (100% cutting it down to a 2-team race and burying City) was the better option. I think maybe an Arsenal win is better since they have to visit Liverpool, while Liverpool still have to go to City.

Regardless... if Liverpool win at Everton (no sure thing the way Moyes has them playing) they'd be 9 clear of Arsenal, 12 clear of Forest, and 18+ clear of everyone else.
 
Milan lucky imo, even though Inter drew level at the death.

And watching Leao... He's checked out. Smiling when he's on the ball, miserable otherwise, even when they score (doesn't celebrate with his teammates.. mi think because his initial shot was saved leading to the goal). Selfish on the ball... Had Tammy alone far post at least twice and dribbled his way into an attempted shot both times. Didn't even seem to care when the 16yo sub almost scored... With his teammates on the bench all jumping to their feet in excited anticipation, leao sat rooted.

CP and especially Musah gave their all before getting subbed late.

Really happy to see Musah get the confidence from his coach and rebound well from that awful CL performance.

It was really bad. He also had Reijnders give him a pretty good pass that the center back made a great play on to intercept and instead of pressing immediately and possibly still turning the play into something positive, he threw his hands up in frustration and gestured where he wanted the pass(as if there weren't players between Reijnders and himself).

I know he's an all world talent, but talent means nothing if there's no effort. I can't imagine being a teammate of his and seeing him give half effort while busting my ***. Speaking to that... Milan played their asses off to try and win that game and the winning goal was given up because Chuckwueze(who came on for Pulisic) stood in place while his man ran to the far post unmarked in stoppage time no less. Can't imagine that goes over well with the coach in the film room given how hard everyone else played.

As for Leao.... Milan just loaned his Portuguese teammate Joao Felix for the rest of the season. It'll be interesting to see if that makes a difference in Leao's effort and teamwork or not. If not, I don't see how they can keep him, even if he's the most dangerous attacker on their team.
 
Wan-Bissaka forgets he doesn't play for United anymore and is supposed to be good now, scores an own goal to give Chelsea a 2-1 win over West Ham
 
Ruud is going to come back to OT and beat United with Leicester. Up 1-0 at the half.

Turned it on just in time to see Ugarte give the ball away, No one mark the cut back or the shooter, Onana with a good save but Dalot and Maz marking the same guy who scores. What a mess.

I turned it on literally the second zirkzee received that garnahco pass and finished. (and of course my phone started spinning between contact and hitting the net)
 
Is no VAR because some of the matches could (in theory) be at the stadium of a club that doesn't have the tech?

Obviously great break for united, as he was a mile offside. How does the linesman not see that?

REALLY bad.

Yes. For example Man City are playing away at Leyton Orient tomorrow, they are trying to play the consistency card, which is basically saying "let's condone bad decisions because we cannot correct bad decisions everywhere"
