2007 NBA DRAFT - ODEN and PORTLAND CRIPPLED (1 Viewer)

Noah would be the no brainer #2 pick if 07 was redrafted.
I think you have an argument for either Noah or Horford being #2, depending on if you are looking for more offense or defense.

Poor Yi.

Noah much better than I expected him to be
Pretty much better than anyone expected. If that draft happens all over, does it go Durant, Noah, Horford, or Durant Horford, Noah?
I'd say Conley easily over Noah. Conley has developed into a great point guard. Arguably top 5 in the league.
Shtick? Has to be. Please tell me this is shtick and not extreme over the top homerism.

Hindsight top 10:

1) Durant

2) Gasol

3) Noah

4) Horford

5) Afflalo

6) Conley

7) Green

8) Young

9) Brewer

10) Dudley

Conley over Afflalo.Landry and Splitter at least over your bottom two.
Not sure how you can put Splitter in there. He's played about a third of the games the others have.

Landry could definitely sneak in there. Not much difference between the 3 of them.
There's a zero percent chance anyone would trade Splitter for that pair - that's the basis for his inclusion.

I guess we're looking at different things. I'm going off their body of work so far, not predicting the future.

What trade a team makes is kind of irrelevant. Who wants to pay a 30 year old bottom tier center $10M a year for very little production? I'd rather have a floor spacer in Dudley for half the price.

I forgot Gasol was in this draft, I would take him #2 too. I would have Conley over Afflalo.

There is some comedic gold in the posts before the draft took place.

I can't imagine that a team in the lottery takes Corey Brewer over Splitter if we redid the draft today, but I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Depends how you want to view it. In body of work so far Brewer > Splitter. Splitter really isn't good. Not trying to say Brewer is either.
