2010 Offseason Dynasty Trades (1 Viewer)

Isn't the whole point of this thread just for trades and not really posting rosters?I mean there's a trade that I made where I sent Hakeem Nicks and got Benson, B. Scott, and 3.10 (Carlton Mitchell) where I was short at RB's and really deep at WR. (I'd rather see I needed this and that so I traded so on and so forth, seems more productive for this thread.) This is not a thread either to post whether you made a good deal in your trade or not, we have a sub-forum for that.
I don't really care what you think of the deal. Isn't posting rosters the same as explaining why a team does a trade? Seems pretty simple to me. Just trying to help. I won't again.

I just remember earlier in this thread that someone posted a roster along with their trade and someone got on them about pretty much cluttering the topic up. I don't mind rosters as much, since it does give decent insight on the trade, think I mostly put that out there for the "what do you think of my deal" type question. Biggest point of this thread was to see where value was placed in players that were being traded.

Not a big fan of having to scroll down to bypass the roster being listed. The person listing a trade can just say why they did the trade instead of all of us scanning the roster to figure it out. especially if it's just a single RB for WR or such trade. I don't really need to know who they have at QB, TE, CB, Punter, PK, and defense.

A one line blurb saying their ____ position sucks is why they pulled the trigger is enough for me. I'll believe them, really I will.

I dont know why but this seems like an oddball trade. I dont mean collusion or anything like that....just weird LOL

12 team PPR dynasty league

Team A gets

Flacco and 2010 1.10 pick

Team B

Mike Wallace and 2010 4.07 pick

On the flipside, it's completely unhelpful in determining a player's value when someone posts a trade that's ridiculous in a vacuum, but doesn't explain that it came about because of scoring requirements or a very unbalanced roster. What if I just came in here and posted that I traded Adrian Peterson for David Akers, but neglected to mention that we get 10 points per FG and the only kicker on my roster was John Carney?

Well that's obviously not posting the scoring or league requirements which is fine by all means. In the trades I've posted, it's said what the requirements were. Obviously what I was trying to get at by my point was if you post a line or two of why you made the trade, perfectly fine. If you post 50 lines of every person on the roster, it clutters the thread if I'm looking on my phone.

Got ya

* Usual Suspects gave up Bush, Reggie NOS RB;Grant, Ryan GBP RB;Royal, Eddie DEN WR;Wayne, Reggie IND WR

* GOODFELLA'S gave up Stewart, Jonathan CAR RB; Year 2010 Draft Pick 1.11;Year 2010 Draft Pick 3.02; Year 2011 Round 2 Draft Pick from GOODFELLA'S

any thoughts on this one?

Like it for godfellas, especially if he's in a win now mode

14 Team PPR scoring league.

I give: Meachem, Maroney, 2.02, 2.12 (16th and 26th overall picks in this draft)

I get: R. Moss, D. Bess

I offered a small price for Bess to shore up the back end of my WR corps, and was willing to give up 2.02 for him if needed. I am pretty sure I would have been overpaying, but I wanted Bess and valued him as a mid-second rounder in a rookie draft. When the other owner counter-offered Moss for Meachem/Maroney and the later pick, I had to take it. Maroney was RB depth, and Meachem was my #3WR. Moss certainly upgrades my #3 spot, costing only RB depth and a pair of "lotto tickets."

I know Moss is 33, but I see no reason he will not have 2-3 good years left. IMO, this is a small price to pay for a likely top 5 WR in 2010, and maybe a top-10 in 2011. Is this trade reflective of Moss's low 2010 dynasty value, or do I over-value Randy?

As always, break it down by key players, then add in the rest.KEYS:* Usual Suspects gave up Grant, Ryan GBP RB; Wayne, Reggie IND WR * GOODFELLA'S gave up Stewart, Jonathan CAR RBIf I'm building I like Stew a lot and can easily give up Grant/Wayne but if I'm in win-now, I love the other side of this. DECENT * Usual Suspects gave up Bush, Reggie NOS RB;Royal, Eddie DEN WR * GOODFELLA'S gave up Year 2010 Draft Pick 1.11;IMO either one of these is worth the 1.11 but not much more. FILLER* Usual Suspects gave up * GOODFELLA'S gave up Year 2010 Draft Pick 3.02; Year 2011 Round 2 Draft Pick from GOODFELLA'SI like to give filler and not get filler. Overall, it's a fair trade assuming US is building a G is win-now. I think Goodfellas got the slightly better end of it, but it's hard to give up a guy like Stew.

hmmm, I have Moss and Bess and I think I'd have to trade them for Meachem and the 2nds. I just happen to like Meachem.

During our draft I gave up

Jones, Matt CIN WR for a 5th, ended up being Anthony Dixon

Scott, Bryan BUF S for a 5th, ended up being Pat Angerer

I might kick myself for trading Jones after hanging on through last season.

24 team IDP league

Calvin Johnson, 3.24, Stephon Nicholas, Jeremy Shockey

for

Randy Moss, 1.2, Johnathon Vilma, 2.2

Another deal

No you won't. He's gonna beat out Ocho, Bryant, and Gresham for targets? Dixon in the 5th is great value.

I don't play IDP so I don't know if Will Smith is that valuable but that looks like a horrible trade for Team B.

Opposite here. I play IDP and smith/bierman aren't that valuable. I would take Greene over Best and it's not even close.

Team A might be getting arrested soon for robbery.
Really? I'd rather have any one of Mathews, Bryant, or Best over Moreno and as so many like the phrase, "and it isn't even close". I think Moreno will bust big time.
Ditto, I'd take 1.03 over Moreno any day, as would about half the shark pool. Moreno is the definition of a sell high. He just doesn't have it. The next A-train, Cadillac, Marshawn, etc.

I'd like to see scoring and starting requirements for this league. I haven't seen a draft where Dixon falls past the early 3rd.

Love Team B's side on this one. I would not even think about taking Knowshon/Britt for Roddy, unless a top 5 1st rounder for 2010 or 2011 was also dangled. Even then, I am not sure I would do it. Roddy IMO is a shoe-in top 10 dynasty WR, and those are tough to come by.

...to a Seahawks fan?
Nope to a guy in need of a rb. He has slaton, mendenhall and kevin smith.
Kind of like the Seattle side of the trade. Knox won't be very valuable if Aromashadu is legit assuming Hester plays the other side. Whereas the Seattle RB pair gives you a RB3 in PPR leagues, with some potential for more if White gets hurt or one of them establishes himself as "the guy".
