Any chance of a podcast this year?
Discussing with my people. A potential joint venture with ESPN also may or may not be in the works.
 It had better come out each week after the newsletter. I'm not going to be happy paying $299.99 a year if you're just going to be giving away the same content for free.

$299.99? Wow. You didn't use the Promo Code! WEAKSHTICK - 105% off regular price.

QB5 last year: 5k, 40+

QB5 this year: 4300/24?

This is what Bostonfred was talking about. So rarely does anyone put anything of substance up, and the few who try are clueless like this. This forum really is a stinking heap of turds.
:lmao:
Don't take the bait, RN. You're better than this. While this might not be so obvious down in the deep murky blue, but it turns out there was football before 2011. If you average out QB5 over the last 5 years, you end up with ~4100 and 25.6TD; depending on scoring system both of those numbers may deviate. Also, if you consider climate conditions and the harsh winter we'll be expecting, the fellas up in The Nest are predicting down QB numbers this year. And there you have it.

NEXT QUESTION
I missed the memo where the Bears got a roof or a heating lamp to keep the weather balmy in Decemember in the Windy City. So it only snows in other cities and not when the Bears play?
oh come onnot like the weather's "balmy" in Green Bay

coach.. what do you think of Ced Benson as a value pick.. he going late in drafts and has had three consecutive 1000 yard games and both McCarthy and Rodgers are saying that they like the fact that his north-south style will keep the defense honest. You for one are predicting down numbers for passing numbers so the RB position may carry more weight (pun intended) than it has recently

everybody thinks he's a dead carcass..but isn't that what birds of prey feed on?

Good buddy,Sorry to tell you this, but Benson is a non-factor. He's a very average NFL talent in a position where he'll be rotated a lot and play very uninspiring football. Yeah, GB moves the ball and you would think a RB there would have opportunities. He's Joseph Addai -- the very pedestrian talent on a great offense, and he'll put up similar numbers. He'll be a decent RB3 somewhere and might have a decent game here and there, but he's not going to make a difference in anyone's FF season.Sharkbait; nothing more.-Coach

I don't think three consecutive 1000 yard games is anything to snicker at.

I love it when a guy is all but guaranteed 300 touches and his ADP slips into the 50s. Warren Buffet had a saying that went along the lines of "the way I become rich was when I found money lying around, I picked it up." Cedric Benson is a big fat 50-spot sitting in your driveway, and you're on your way into the house, and all you need to do is reach down and pick him up. "But Bass, he's got legal troubles!!?" Listen, I LOVE Cedric Benson's legal troubles. We're not buddies. He's not my pal. And the fact that he's got these issues has got people scampering away from him, and that's why the sharks are scooping him up nearly for free. You don't win your fantasy league in weeks 1 and 2, gang. But you do over the course of the rest of the season.

Fellas,

Sorry I couldn't tip you off to my favorite value rookie pick previously, but I had to wait until a draft last night to publicize this.

I also have a man crush on Roberto Wallace. He's a longshot, but I can't help myself.
Never fails with this clown.

Jay Cutler - he’ll finish around QB5. 4300 yds, 24 TDs

Reggie Bush - Send me a fruit cake and Christmas card in December, and watch him finish a top 5-10 RB,1308 rushing, 322 receiving, 13TDs

LeGarrette Blount - 1150 rushing, 180 receiving, 7 TDs

Brandon Marshall - Top 5WR finish

Greg Little - top 20WR finish

Jacob Tamme - Top5 TE finish

BONUS PICKS

•QB - Peyton Manning - Top5 QB [He's still way better than you think]

•RB - Kendall Hunter - Top20 RB [Gore is in twilight mode; Hunter starts to take over midseason and shines]

•RB - Alex Green - Top20 RB [He's healthy, and the other options are unimpressive]

•WR - Mike Williams (TB) - Top15 WR [Resurgence as VJax takes more attention than he deserves]

•WR - Leonard Hankerson - Top20 WR [How's he really going off the board around WR60?]

Special mentions

Robert Turbin

Roberto Wallace
For those scoring laughing at home.

The Big O didn't say what team he loved Wallace on. He can certainly land elsewhere and make a big splash. Houston might need someone if AJ gets hurt. Hawks look at this as the ultimate buy-low, I'm looking to grab Wallace now that I can get him for nothing and hold until he lands somewhere. Instant profit.

Good call here by the coach.

Seriously. This is the insight you pay for. Any idiotic mope off the street can tell you that AJ Green is going to do pretty well this year, but Coach Oats brings you analysis on guys that aren't even on an NFL roster. Hawks don't hunt in the shallow end of the pool; we're scanning the horizon for our prey.

QB

Jay Cutler

You’re welcome.

You’re welcome because you were probably going to draft RG3 or MP4 or ABC or T-Jizzy or some super sexy “OMG” pick with a cool nickname at QB, but for the price of a bag of donuts we just handed you a top 5 QB in 2012. “But Coach, wait a minute, all my apps and mags and that guy rizzer96 at FFToday say he’s no good!” If you want to follow the crowd, then just keep on swimming. We’re offering you different and better in here, and Cutler is going to be tossing bombs at Marshall and Forte all year, and lots of those bombs will end up in the end zone. The Chicago Bears will be surprisingly effective in the passing game this year. Cutler will have a resurgence in his career--he won’t match 2008, but then again I’m not going to bench press what I did in my mid-twenties either.

You’ll get him around QB12, but he’ll finish around QB5.

WR

Brandon Marshall

What were you doing in 2008? Think back to that time, sitting in your parents’ basement, furiously tearing through the new issue of Fantasy Insider scrapping for stats to support your argument with gloam26 over at The Huddle. In 2008, Brandon Marshall was catching 104 passes in 15 games. He and Jay Cutler ran through fields of poppies in slow motion and embraced. It was magical. That’s what we’re offering here. More magic.

Most folks in the water have Marshall pegged outside the top 10. It’s not the most incredible value pick in the world, but he’ll finish top 5, and you’ll get nice bang for your buck, as we walk in fields of gold.

even a blind hawk finds a mouse sometimes  and its not like those 2 weren't on anyone else's sleeper list. Marshall was a 2nd round pick in all of my leagues. Hardly hawk material there. Hawks are still circling the draft in the 2nd round waiting till the swoop with their first pick of the draft

Is Jay Cutler not a cool name? I love it personally, tnx.

He's looking OK right now. Hankerson with a long TD, Cutler and Marshall remain to be seen (we were throwing roses at Coach after week 1 on this one).

Reggie went off, Mike Williams and Greg Little score, Tamme getting a lot of targets.

Not a bad start for Oat. At least he has the balls to do something like this.

Keep up the good work Coach!I am 2-0. Not bad after I passed on my number 1 pick!

PRetty sure Saint Otis deserves the Nobel Prize for handing over this sort of information FREE OF CHARGE, people.

Agreed. But after gambling away $60,000+ this ballsy move is like a walk in the park for him.I support this thread.
