2013 Dynasty Start-up Drafts (3 Viewers)

http://football14.myfantasyleague.com/2012/options?L=25925&O=17very similar to the USDL that was drafted already - we are in the late 4'th roundMy team is Droggs and feel free to bash me for taking RGIII and Cam however I feel that my investment will pay off when I trade one of those guys to someone and cash in on some value.
Sex and Death is killing that draft so far.McCoySpillerHarvinCrabtree (I would have went Roddy or Nicks or possibly Decker over Crabtree)Harvin at the 3.12 blows my mind. As someone going to be drafting in the late 1st, I would be considering him at the turn in a PPR format. He's only 24(!) and has probably the highest PPR PPG average extrapolated over his last 16 games of anyone not named Calvin. And even that's close, since Calvin didn't score many TDs this year.

Spending a 4th round pick for your 2nd QB with idea of trading him at a later date is a dicey proposition. Hope it works out for you, but whenever I have drafted players early that I don't really need with the idea of trading them in the future, it has never played out like I hoped.

I agree with this ... the times I've done this with taking too many WR or RBs taking "value" I've never been able to trade them back for even the guys I missed out on taking. In a vacuum, risk-neutral world where everyone shares your values (and wants to trade) this works out, but not in reality. Bad move.

Assuming your league counts Harvin's return TD, Brandon Marshall has one more point over his last 16 games than Harvin. In non-PPR, though, Harvin passes Marshall for the #2 spot.

My point remains, that Harvin is in a below average QB situation and is 4-5 years younger than Marshall. I can't believe he would be taken after him, let alone TWENTY SPOTS later. That's nuts. He should be top 15 in every dynasty draft. I'm glad he's lasting so long... now I won't need to grab him right away.

Still think Harvin pulls a VJax holdout this year

Or he gets traded to the Patriots and I clean up in every league this year.

I think it's a little crazy to enter a draft thinking 5-6 years down the line. My longest running league is entering it's 5th year and my squad doesn't have a single player from the original draft. I mean is anyone even a lock to be in the league 5-6 years from now?
I have always felt that way. It hasn't helped either that I have had 3 leagues fold in the last 2 years. :sadbanana: However, the saving grace was that in 2 of those leagues I won the championship in the first year, so I ended up turning a profit while those with the 5-6 year strategy had great looking teams, but lost money on the venture. Unfortunately, unless you run the league yourself you have no guarantee it will last long enough to validate your long term strategy.
You should start looking for leagues that require deposits of at least half a season worth of dues. These leagues attract owners more willing to stick around due to self selection. Plus, they make it way easier to find a couple replacement owners if needed. Shameless plug, but I am starting a dynasty league that is doing a slow auction startup beginning in mid February. I am insisting on a deposit from all owners to help insure the league lasts.

Speaking of which, anyone have links to a startup auction done recently?
a few FBGs in This one started on Feb 4th. so far it's been a very interesting process.

Are defenses worth a lot? The Bengals D for $33 and the 1.01 for $53 seems a little mad.
Looked at the D scoring, it isn't crazy. Pretty standard except for 2 pt sacks instead of 1 pt, and distance bonus for D TDs. With a $250 cap, spending $33-$39 on a D is crazy in a dynasty. Too much ebb and flow from one year to the next in D scoring. Also, Vincent Brown for $26? Seems rather high.

Yeah, I like Brown but I would put 10% of my budget on him.

He went for 10%. Biggest thing about defenses - with 32 teams in the league, defenses are a scarce resource and without having to worry about injuries (less so than with other players anyway) it makes some sense to me to put 10-15% of our salary in a good D. Less if you can get away with it, but like with any scarce resource, you need to get one when you can or risk walking away empty handed.

Same can be said with QBs and kickers, and QBs have been expensive so far. Kickers don't score enough to spend much on and if you walk away without a kicker, you can still field a competitive team.

Also, rookie picks are price protected for 3 years, and all other players get a $5 salary increase every year, making picks more valuable.

Almost done.http://football.myfantasyleague.com/2013/options?L=74650&O=17
Note: rookie's that are drafted are not the actual player, but the pick (i.e. the first one is 1.01, second is 1.02, etc). I'll write up more about my thoughts on this draft and how I did once I get time when its completed.I had pick 1.01

What was the Trent Richardson trade?
Spiller and Decker. Then a couple of meaningless draft pick swaps in favor of the Richardson side.

Trent was actually traded twice in the same day. The second involved a swap of Martin and some similarly ranked draft picks.

Here are my thoughts on this draft that we completed last week. I went into the draft with the focus on 1) youth and 2) trade value. I tried to get guys that would at least give me a shot at competing this year, but avoiding anyone that can be difficult to move (Roddy, Andre, Welker, etc). I wanted to load up on draft picks if possible, but felt that the rookie picks went much, MUCH too early in this draft. Every time I was on the clock I thought about a rookie pick, and every time (exept once late) I felt that the young guy I was going to take instead offered more value than the pick. Here is how it went:

1.01 WR Calvin Johnson

I drew the 1.01 pick in this startup, and knew this would be the easiest pick of my draft. Never really engaged in trade discussions for the pick, just wrote the best player in the game on the card and moved on.

2.06 TE Jimmy Graham

I gave up 2.12/3.01 in exchange for 2.06/3.07. I didn't expect Graham to make it to the mid-2nd, especially after Gronk went in the late first. There were only a few guys I would have made this move up for (Percy and Graham), and after Percy went early in the second I started looking at places I could move up if Graham slide. Two spots later, he was still there and I made this move and didn't think I gave up a ton here. If I had stayed at my current picks, I wouldn't have liked who fell there so I'm happy.

3.03 RB David Wilson

I obviously moved up again to get Wilson here (gave up 3.07, 5.01, 10.12; recieved 3.03, 6.01, 9.12). When I did the earlier trade, I had targeted Wilson or Crabtree for 3.07, but Crabtree went very early (3.01). If I had stayed at 3.07 I probably would have went MJD, which would have been fine, but I'm happy that I got the guy I wanted here. Very young, and while he is certainly unproven, a lot of teams will place a high value on him for his youth.

4.12 QB Robert Griffin

QBs really fell far in this draft -- Rodgers (2.05), Luck (3.10), and Brees (4.11) all went much later than in most other startups I had seen. QBs had just started to move right before this pick (Ryan, Brees). I knew that I wouldn't be able to get the guy I wanted at my next pick (Wilson). I considered Wilson here, but the upside of RG3 here was too high. Even with his injury, QB7 and #48 overall is a great bargain here.

6.01 WR Josh Gordon

Really wanted Gordon, but didn't think he would fall to my next pick (6.12). Considered Bowe, Garcon, and Stewart here, but ultimately went with a guy that has eluded me in trade attempts in other leagues. Certainly some risk in having him as my WR2 here, for sure.

6.12 RB Jonathan Stewart

7.01 WR Torrey Smith

Did not expect these two to be here. I felt for certain, based on picking with several guys in a different recent startup, that I'd be able to get Lamar Miller and Cecil Shorts here, but they both went a few picks prior. At RB23, Stewart was a no-brainer for my team -- the next few RBs on my list were Gore, Bush, and Ingram. I full expect DeAngelo to be elsewhere, and feel that Stewart will still have good trade value from some owners, despite being a yearly tease. If I keep him, and he stays healthy, I think his floor is late-teens mid-RB2, which is solid for #72 overall

I didn't debate Torrey much here, as I felt he was the last guy on a WR-tier. He ultimately went WR31, which is a bit late for him. Despite his 'mediocre' season last year, he has still be WR23-25 over his first two years and will only be entering his third year next year. He should be a great WR3, but if I need him to be my WR2 I could be in trouble here.

8.12 WR Michael Floyd

9.01 RB Ronnie Hillman

I decide to continue to get youth and guys that could increase in value and be good trade chips for other owners. Everyone seems to place decent value on Floyd, and I've already fielded several offers involving him in the past week. While he was the 4th WR taken on my team, I don't expect him to be in my starting lineup, even if he makes it still on my team.

Hillman is a bit more hit-or-miss with owners than I expected. I considered Pierce or Andre Brown, but ultimately went with a guy that is a bit closer to playing time than Pierce. I had a belief Andre Brown would fall farther, and that didn't happen. At the very least, I feel that I can keep Hillman and make a move for other pieces of the Denver backfield following the NFL Draft and free agency.

9.12 RB Bryce Brown

Kept the youth flowing here -- would have considered Mendenhall if he fell, but he went a few picks prior. Also had targeted Givens, who went right before this pick. Ultimately, Brown didn't last long on my team, as another owner wanted to have him as a bargaining chip in another trade. Ended up moving Brown and 14.12 for Denarius Moore (8.06) and 22.06. This move allowed me to remain young and solidify a WR4. It also gives me another trading chip at WR if I want to package a young player with Moore for an upgrade.

11.01 WR Reuben Randle

A guy that I had wanted in several leagues, and always goes before I can get him. I considered LaMichael James here, but feel that James upside is still a COP back (though a very good one), while Randle could be a WR2 in a very WR-friendly offense in NY. I also believe that the Nicks extension talk is, in a way, more about getting Cruz to sign than it is for Nicks. I'm not convinced that Nicks is in NY long term.

12.12 TE Coby Fleener

13.01 RB Isaiah Pead

I love both of these guys falling to this spot -- these were the exact two players I hope fell after I picked at 11.01. I continued to feel that the 2013 rookie picks were coming off too quickly, and instead focused on the 2012 guys whose talent I still believed in.

Fleener is a guy I've gotten the most trade offers about since the draft. I think that a few owners really want him and value him more than myself so he is a guy that will likely be moved this offseason. Even if he stays, I expect a decent jump in production in year two, and still think he is the TE to own in Indy.

I loved Pead's talent coming out last year, but he obviously bombed. However, I still believe he is a better RB than Drich, who I view as a Stevens-Howling type of player, and will eventually be primarily a returner. I think the upside of Pead at the 145th pick is pretty strong here.

15.01 RB Chris Ivory

Only one pick here, as the other was moved in the Moore trade. I think New Orleans ends up failing to tender Ivory (or tenders him at his draft spot, which is almost the same thing). It will cost $2M/yr to tender him at a spot that ensures he stays with the Saints -- most locals on the Saints message boards don't expect this to happen, despite their belief that he is their best pure rusher. I'm not sure how well Ivory will play up in a PPR league, but I expect his trade value to surely increase if/when he gets signed by another team.

16.12 RB Mike Tolbert

17.01 RB LaGarrette Blount

Tolbert is mainly a handcuff here. I normally am not a big advocate of handcuffs, but it's hard to trust Stewart. Tobert offers enough as a goaline and 3rd down threat to be a decent flex play for a post-DeAngelo Panthers.

Blount is purely a lottery pick in the hopes that he isn't brough back. There are lots of reports that he is not a favorite of their current coaching staff. Despite that, he didn't really cause any problems last year -- didn't complain or make trouble. He isn't a guy that is going to be a do-everthing RB, but he is certainly talented enough to be a guy that gets 150-175 carries in a committee somewhere in the NFL. I continue to target guys that I hope will have their value rise from where I'm taking them here.

18.12 RB Brandon Bolden

19.01 QB Kirk Cousins

I'm a big fan of Bolden, and I guy I'm trying to get in as many leagues as I can. I frankly think Vereen is very mediocre, and one solid game in the post-season doesn't change that. If Ridley goes down at some point, I expect Bolden to be the primary ball-carrier and Vereen to remain the COP back. Bolden is also a very good pass-catcher in his own right, and actually led Mississippi in receptions in one of the years he was there. He's a guy that could absolutely function as both a rusher and reciever in the Patriots hurry-up offense -- where I feel that Vereen would be giving up alot in the rushing game. Most will disagree with this, but I'll take my chances at #216 overall.

Cousins is a guy that I pretty much had to pick after taking Griffin. There were several backup QBs that I passed on throughout the draft (Freeman in the 13th, Ivory instead of BigBen, could have traded up for Dalton in the 16th). Overall, I feel that if/when the time comes for me to have a backup QB, I should be able to trade for one rather cheaply.

20.12 TE Dustin Keller

21.01 Rookie pick 3.06

Another free agent pick, and one that I think is the best free agent TE available this offseason. He was a low-end TE1 in 2011, and there are a few landing spots that his value could return to that spot (Atlanta, Houston). I expect Keller to be my TE2 if/when Fleener gets moved in a deal.

There wasn't much else left at this point other than a handful of guys that I all viewed similar, so I went with a pick here so I'm not completely bored come the draft.

22.06 QB Terrelle Pryor

If he is actually given a real shot to compete for the starting job in Oakland, this is a steal here. Even Tebow had value when he was starting, due to the great value that his legs bring.

22.12 QB Ryan Mallett

Cleveland or bust? If he isn't traded on draft day to the Browns, then I would likely release him when cuts are due. In a Norv Turner offense, he might be able to be a solid backup due to his great physical abilities.

Final roster:

QB Griffin, Cousins, Pryor, Mallett

RB D wilson, Stewart, Hillman, Ivory, Pead, Tolbert, Bolden, Blount

WR Calvin, Gordon, Torrey, Moore, Floyd, Randle

TE Graham, Fleener, Keller

Rookie pick 3.06

As a reminder, I don't expect this to be close to the roster that I put forward in week 1. I think a lot of these young guys and Free agents will have decent trade value throughout the offseason. My main goals right now are improving my WR3-4, and gauging the value of Wilson and Stewart to have a little more stability there.

To each his own but I don't like the 1.01 spot this year. You ended up with no real starters at running back and your number 2 receiver is torrey smith. The Gordon pick was a little early for my taste but I'm not as high on him as most. Quarterback coming off a major injury and for drafting as young as you did your team is somewhat beat up. Just one man's take. Doesn't mean you won't be good.

A startup dynasty draft we did live on Superbowl Sunday. QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,WR,TE,FLEXAll TDs are six points and .5 PPR for all positions.Spelling is not mine.2 Matt Ryan 1.065 T. Richardson 1.06
Ryan appears to have gone at 2.06.
Ryan actually went 1.06, believe it or not. Richardson went 1.07- the guy who put together the list messed up the entries. Ryan pick was a massive head-scratcher.

I'll write up more about my thoughts on this draft and how I did once I get time when its completed. I had pick 1.01Thanks for doing this - nice to hear how others think through a draft...

was in the same start up draft with jonboltz and agree that Rookie picks went way too soon. Too much unknown before the Draft (and combine). I only did one trade during the draft and let the value fall to me. My disdain for RBs has continued unabated... and we could not draft true Freshman with our Devy picks, so I reached at 1.08 for Manziel.QB: Brady (5.09), Bradford (17.09), A Smith (22.04), Bridgewater (1.06 Devy), Manziel (1.08 Devy)Brady was the 10th QB taken. Think he has at least 2 years left and used my Devy picks to find a replacement. I like Bradford, but he hasn't shown enough to be considered even a backup FF QB. A Smith was just a last pick flier if he ends up in a good situation. RB: Sproles (5.07), Ballard (8.09), Mendy (9.09), Hunter 12.04 and Powell (13.09). D Thomas Oregon (2.07 Devy) Traded up to get Sproles since he has been Top 5 PPG the past two years in 1 PPR for all. I think he has 2 years left. Might be able to get a starter out of Ballard or Mendy. Hunter looked good in limited time last year and may be Gore heir (though coming off season ending injury). Powell will still be in NY and has a good OL, everything else is not so positive.WR: Harvin (2.04), Nicks (3.09), Fitz (4.04), L Moore (10.04), Little (11.09), Broyles (14.04), Sanu (15.09), and Roberts (20.04)Love stocking up on WRs, though it looks like I used a year old draft guide since my Top 3 all had disappointing 2012's. We start 3 and can flex a 4th, so after my core, took Moore as my Flex, and then four young WRs that have shown some promise.TE: Gronk (1.09), Cameron (18.04) and Kendricks (19.09).Went Gronk first since he is a true difference maker. With the depth at QB and WR (and 5 RBs taken before me), Gronk gives me long term advantage. Cameron and Kendricks are fliers, hoping to find a back up... if they blow up, then a flex.Rookie pick 1.07 (8.04) and 2.07 (16.04). Saw some relative value and like to have a couple options during the Rookie draft. So far I see a clear Top 20 for rookies and will take BPA, even though i need RBs.

No worries, if everyone held the same opinions there would be no need to draft -- we'd just assign everyone to teams based on ADP.

I like your team. I tend to draft somewhat similarly, though I go a bit heavier on RB early as I think it is easier to find WRs than RBs. But in general, I like the concept of drafting good young players that aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Then all you have to do is fill in the spots around them while others are looking at trying to replace their core guys instead of just adding.

We just finished drafting and I used about 3 drafts as reference from this thread, so thought I would share our draft. Made up of mostly FBG's. 6pts for all TD's, 1 PPR league, Starters: 1 qb, 1-4rb, 1-4wr, 1-4te, 1k, 1def.

Like all new drafts, a pretty balanced league so far it appears. Couple of surprises early on which leads to a couple of guys dropping way lower than I would have expected.

My team is FF King. Doesn't update trades as they happen, but I ended up trading up for Brandon Marshall in the 2nd round. Happy with my squad.

My Draft:

1.03 - A.J. Green - WR

Tried to trade up to 1.01 for Calvin - didn't work. Gave some thought to Martin, but decided 1.03 was too early to overlook what I perceive as a talent gap between the two players. Don't usually like to go WR in round 1, but made an exception for Green.

2.10 - Victor Cruz - WR

Tried to trade up to get Spiller/Charles/Gronk/Graham - no dice. Certainly didn't intend on going wr-wr, but that's how it worked out. I liked Cruz more than anyone else on the board - didn't want to reach for a RB, and while I like Newton here, I was dead set on waiting for a QB. Had some work to do, as the value in the next few rounds will be at WR, and I won't be in the market.

3.06 - DeMarco Murray - RB

Nothing to write home about, but a guy I like. The Dallas offense is a 2 O-line parts away from being a machine. Injury concern, obviously, which is why he is still on the board, but he catches passes, is a strong runner, and has homerun speed. Could very well be a dynasty RB1 this time next year.

4.06 - Jordy Nelson - WR

I really like this value and traded up to get him. Gave 6/7 IIRC. He will be the constant top option in the Packer passing offense and - knock on wood - should have a top 10 WR season in 2013. I had him graded as a 3rd round pick, and would have considered him at 3.06, if I didn't need to go RB there.

4.07 - 1.01 Rookie Pick

Like the value of this pick as well, and will very likely go Eddie Lacy, assuming the NFL likes him as much as I do. 22 YO starting RB with 1st round pedigree, hopefully.

5.06 - Ryan Mathews - RB

Not a big fan, but, again, value. His GM is saying some nice things and he'll have a shot to be a bell-cow back. Feel like the draft is starting to shape up at this point. I didn't anticipate this kind of RB value at this point in the draft. Going wr-wr didn't hurt me as much as I thought it would.

7.02 - Tom Brady - QB

My draft again got a major boost by landing Brady here. Traded up from round 9 (2014 1st) to get him here - last tier 2 QB on the board.

9.02 - Robert Turbin -RB

Not willing to reach for the WR/TE options on the board at this spot. Hoping Pierce or Gore would fall, but they didn't. Grab Turbin who I like.

10.07 - LaMichael James - RB

Not willing to reach for the WR/TE options on the board at this spot. Grab another young upside RB in James.

11.06 - 1.11 Rookie Pick

We'll see what's on the board in May.

12.07 - Isaiah Pead - RB

Another young upside RB, as they are dying off and I, at this point it time, think I can get WR/TE value in the coming rounds.

13.06 - Owen Daniels - TE

I like waiting until the 13th and still getting a starting TE. RB value is very dry at this point, and the WR spot is pretty baron too. Daniels was my top R/W/T option on the board.

Brady

Murray/Mathews/Turbin/James/Pead

Green/Cruz/Nelson

Daniels

1.01 Rookie pick, 1.11 Rookie pick

Like where I am at this point in the draft. Don't need to reach for any particular position. Very good QB2/TE value on the board, and I'll get solid options there. WR depth is a concern, but WR3s are easy trade targets, if need be. WR is my potential difference maker. Not upset with my RB options, assuming I go Lacy with 1.01. TE is baseline and I'm fine with that.

I'm also in this one with CC and others from here.i don't mind admitting this is the first such draft I've ever done and I'm standing on the shoulders of giants with my valuations of players. I'm like a breathing aggregator of posts from here. 1.02 Calvin Johnson WR

My ideal scenario at the time would have been for Trent to fall here, but in hindsight I'm glad he didn't . Probably the number one PPR player at the moment

2.11 Cam Newton QB

Used to be a late QB guy and I know QB is deep, but the guys you can get later aren't Cam and I'll happily take the championship winning potential he brings.

3.02 Alf Morris RB

Can't say I'm excited by this one as I'm not a believer, but he looked like value here relative to the RBs left on the board so I took him and will have to talk myself into being a believer

5.07 Mike Wallace WR 5.10 Josh Gordon WR 6.03 Lamar Miller RB 6.06 Cecil Shorts WR

Here is the crux of my draft, I'll succeed or fail by these picks I think. I wanted 3 guys in particular, Shorts, Gordon and J Stewart and they are all going in this area of drafts. I was very lucky that three different people wanted to trade up with me to give me the extra picks I needed to get 2 of them. Not excited about Wallace at all, but he's another Ill have to change my opinion of. hoped to get Matthews there but Coop grabbed him the pick before. Didn't foresee Stewart going so early so I grabbed Miller instead, may well turn out for the best. Gordon and Shorts are two I want on all my teams

8.08 Frank Gore RB 8.11 Bernard Pierce RB 9.07 Bryce Brown RB

My RB section of the draft. Considered trading up for Gore and am delighted he fell to me. Him and Alf should hopefully give me a solid RB corps this year. The other two are guys I want on all my teams, the potential there is clear. Happy to get them and just hold patienty

11.02 Jon Baldwin WR

Rookie mistakes abound here from me. I really really wanted Chris Givens and sent out trade up offers to people which in hindsight were easy to turn down. He obviously went and I compounded the mistake by reaching here for another young potential star. Could have probably got him rounds later but there you go

12.11 Coby Fleener TE 13.02 Dwayne Allen TE

Ii couldn't decide on these two, so talked myself into them being the next Gronk and Hernandez so picked them both

14.11 Beanie Wells RB 15.02 Daniel Thomas RB

Hate handcuff picks and even moreso when the handcuff will probably be third in lone after the draft, but took Thomas here as a handcuff to Miller. Wells is a swing really. Was either him or a backup QB in Ben, who has now gone a few picks later.

Overall quite happy although looking at the rosters at this moment I don't feel over confident year one but Ive probably made the mistake of over valuing youth and potential

Cam

Alf, Miller, Gore, Pierce, Brown, Wells, Thomas

Calvin, Wallace, Gordon, Shorts, J.Baldwin

Fleener, Allen

My link

Given your opinions on him, are you really saying Morris is a reach at 2.10? 50/50 shot Cruz is still there at 3.6 if you really like Morris.

I was only ever really high on Morris before the hobby thought he could repeat. I like him at his ASP now. In PPR formats, give me Cruz by a solid margin. I also know - though, not at the time - Cruz wouldn't have lasted.

I'd be very surprised if Cruz lasted until 3.06 in many dynasty startups. You'd have to put a lot of faith in people reaching for mediocre RBs and lesser WRs that I'd be hesitant to do.

I got him at 3.12 in a recent .5 PPR startup, fwiw. It's safe to say that some reaches took place above me.

Been playing this game too damn long to grab the consensus ADP guys. I'm gonna pick guys i havent owned, in good situations, who wont be available to me at the next turn (23 picks in between my picks). Don't get caught in runs, build a team to win this year and be a contender for 4 years. nothing further looked at except for 1-3 development type guys.Post-Draft thoughts: well, when ADP guys like AP and Rodgers are at 1.12/2.1 id be a fool to not jump on these. Great 4-5 year plan with these 2. next 2 rb's taken were simply due to having forte in another league or he would have been one of the 2. grabbing picks 1.3 and 1.4 was vital for my 4RB plan....I think id rather have 1.2 and 1.3, but who wouldnt. Pretty sure johnny goes Alabama RB with the 1st or 2nd, so 3 and 4 still look veryt attractive to be in my lineup for years to come. Round 7......better get my 1sr WR. at Round 7 the run has been on for hours on WR's.....James Jones! no, he's not 23, but a find in round 7 as my only wr. need a TE, again, the TE run was early. I actually skipped on Rudolph earlier hoping to nab gresham later....i consider this a score (not value/stud, but a lineup guy for years to come). Andre! i either get him here or take a chance on not getting him at 11.12. I know its early, but need that 4th RB.all i really want to talk about is my K's! lol..... walsh and Legatron for the next 5-10 years. Im not sure how i can go wrong. Sure, I could have ran with a gamble or 2 here, who "might" have got their jockstrap wet in my fantasy lineup. I'll take not worrying about the position for a decade. Defenses i just took those 2 as i view them as up and coming, dont want to be "seattle late" on these 2. Again, i dont have to think about D's for 5 years with current regimes in place.ive dropped manningham for gabbert.FF King was my vote for best draft, cant wait for rookie draft, once there are names next to those picks the tides will turn a little. G'Luck guys, been fun, looking forward.

I gave up Matt Forte, Mike Williams, Coby Fleener, 2013 2.01, and 2014 1st for Ray Rice, Pierre Garcon, Dustin Keller, 2013 2.08, 2014 2nd.

Wasn't this thread originally about start-up dynasty drafts? It seems to have turned into analysis of teams from one particular league draft.

Ongoing Draft. Just started though. Let me know if the link doesn't work. http:/football26.myfantasyleague.com/2013/options?L=68003&O=17
How can I get into a draft where these 3 fall to me here:1.06 Calvin2.07 Graham3.06 Cobb (I actually don't like him much, but that is very late for him)It feels like it is one of those march madness pools, where you get bonus points for predicting an upset.
