Draft value chart. Fun exercise--what should the Raiders expect, in a trade down with various teams???
Our Pick: 2200 points.
Detroit--5th overall: 1700 points.
Their 2nd rounder is 540 points, the Raiders would probably want that pick in the deal, but I wouldn't be mad if they took less.
3rd rounder is 255 points. Possibly the 3rd and a 2nd or 3rd next year? I could see it, if Detroit envisions themselves picking a lot lower next year. This one seems pretty easy to happen, if Detroit actually wants to move up. Jags take Jordan, I'd like to bet money on us moving down.
Cleveland--6th overall. 1600 points.
Their 2nd rounder fits quite nicely, but whoops, their 2nd rounder is already on the team, Josh Gordon. 6th pick in the 3rd round=240 points. It's gonna take more than that. 3rd this year, plus a 2nd next year? Tough to see how this happens.
Arizona--7th overall. 1500 points.
They just traded for our QB, could they trade up with us to get the LT to protect him? Their 2nd rounder is 520. 3rd rounder is 235. A 1-2-3 seems steep, maybe Reggie settles for 1-2-4, if he thinks Floyd/Star will be there. If we are looking at getting the MOST for our pick, in terms of volume of picks, and still get Floyd, this is probably our best bet.
My thoughts change beyond these spots. if we move down further, I don't think there'll be any "We'll take a little bit less than normal" deals. If the Chargers/Jets/Dolphins want the spot, they pay full retail. Much less chance the Raiders can feel good about getting a certain player if they slide beyond the Cardinals.
San Diego--11th overall. 1250 points.
I know this is unlikely, if not almost impossible. Just wondering what it would take. It's almost a 1,000 point difference. It'd probably take their 2nd and 3rd this year, and their 2nd next year, OR, their 1st next year, PLUS something. San Diego may just take Fluker or Warmack or Cooper.
Miami--12th overall. 1200 points.
2nd--11th pick--470 points.
2nd --24th pick--340 points.
3rd--15th pick--195 points.
3rd--20th pick--170 points.
Wow. If Miami wants a corner or a LT, no problem. They have the ammo. Their 1st and two 2nds fits quite nicely, thank you very much. FIns fans would go bonkers, I am sure. Long shot, pipe dream.
