He was the sandwich pick for the loss of Cuddyer in free agency. Maybe Alderson had this all along.2015 1st round pick for Colorado, Mike Nikorak struck out 14 in 17.2 innings in rookie ball.
That's the good news...

I imagine that there's a strong current of existentialism running through the Rockies' minor league pitching corps.so he's a bit of a project. Those numbers will drop when he's pitching in Coors Field.2015 1st round pick for Colorado, Mike Nikorak struck out 14 in 17.2 innings in rookie ball.

My nipples are so hard right now.Wainwright activated and moved to bullpen!
That sounds like an awesome clusterA potential exists for the AL West to end up in a 3 way tiebreaker where there are wild card implications involved requiring a 3 game round robin dance off in 3 different cities in 3 days, then the wild card.

It's up to each club. The Cubs would have celebrated twice if they clinched the Postseason first, then won the division. The Cardinals didn't celebrate when they clinched the PS, saving it for winning the Division.Did the blue Jays and Cardinals celebrate twice? Seems kind of silly no? Do teams pop champagne after winning the one game wild card? I forget.
Just curious what the astros have chosen, if anything.gump said:It's up to each club. The Cubs would have celebrated twice if they clinched the Postseason first, then won the division. I wonder how their front office celebrated clinching the NL Central last night.Just curious what the astros have chosen, if anything.gump said:It's up to each club. Jays plan was to just do a champagne toast when they clinched the playoffs. It ended up being a little more than that when EE decided he wanted to spray people but it was nothing like last night.shadyridr said:Did the blue Jays and Cardinals celebrate twice? The last club that hasn't chosen. They'll clinch the PS and WC at the same time, but haven't told us if they'll celebrate in the PS or WC tee.Just curious what the astros have chosen, if anything.gump said:It's up to each club. You're a winner in my book.I didn't win anything but I drank half a bottle of vodka last night.
Rex Grossman's #1 & #2 fansSerious/goofy but serious question:
What are the logistics behind what happens with shirts that are printed up but are never needed, e.g. Super Bowl Champion Seahawks t-shirts? Do they really get shipped to third world countries? Or do you guys not make any shirts for possible events, only for when they occur?
Will answer yours.
The number printed before clinches is minimal. The logistics are incredibly complex, but are built to maximize production AFTER the clinch. So when you pick your tee up at 10 AM, most likely it was printed in the previous 10 hours and picked up by the retailer and distro'd to store.Good Posting Judge said:Serious/goofy but serious question:

I, for one, find all this stuff fascinating and would read every word you're willing to share. If you guys are interested, I can give you updates on postseason business by team/round.
To date thru the Division/PS clinches:
Tier 1: KC, ChiC
Tier 2: NYM, TOR
Tier 3: StL, HOU
Tier 4: TXR, NYY, PIT, LAD
This isn't a true guage yet, as this clinch means more to some markets obviously.
But LCS should be a good barometer. I'll know those next week. Cubs will be #1 clearly by then.
Why in the world did they run Buehrle out there for the second time in three days for a personal milestone, and blow a shot at homefield advantage?TOR has the tiebreaker over KC for the #1 overall, btw.
That is an excellent question. If the Royals get knocked out by the Wild Card winner, the Blue Jay will look like geniuses. If the ALCS comes down to a Game 7 in Kauffman Stadium, there will be some explaining to do.Why in the world did they run Buehrle out there for the second time in three days for a personal milestone, and blow a shot at homefield advantage?TOR has the tiebreaker over KC for the #1 overall, btw.
Im torn on it, I think the home team is 8-7 in the last 15 ALCS'. Obviously lately a lot of wild card teams have gone far and didn't have home field advantage. Why in the world did they run Buehrle out there for the second time in three days for a personal milestone, and blow a shot at homefield advantage?TOR has the tiebreaker over KC for the #1 overall, btw.
