the difference is that davante has the talent to overcome drops...Janis, not so much.Janis and Adams with more drops in red zone drill tonight. Consistency is a real problem for both.
Really? Have you already forgotten the last drive the Packers ran?the difference is that davante has the talent to overcome drops...Janis, not so much.
Adams is inconsistent and Janis is a poor route runner. Neither has great hands. Montgomery had microfracture surgery on his ankle. Abbrederis will emerge as the no. 3 WRReally? Have you already forgotten the last drive the Packers ran?
Yeah, I doubt Ted would pick a WR in the first though it would be nice. These WR issues make me cringe so hard because guess who was the pick immediately after Datone Jones a few years ago in the first round?
Freakin' DeAndre Hopkins.
I normally don't play the "what if" and "should have drafted" game but holy bejesus... can you imagine the "Rodgers to Hopkins" connection for 7-8 of Rodgers' prime years? It'd be the Brady/Moss all over again. Damn.
Do you think the defense will be able to overcome D Randall?Outsiders, and even supposed experts who should know better keep touting that The Packers passing game last year was due to Jordy being gone. True, but not even half the story. Cobb, Montgomery, Adams, Rodgers all hurt longer and more seriously than people remember or knew. Injuries not just at tackle, but also guard, whether they played or not. this was a severely crippled team. me, I can't wait to see what the fully functional battlestar is capable of. Stay healthy Pack. time for another trophy in the trophy case.

little bit early to be writing off a second year playerInside joke. Sarcasm. Sorry bout that.little bit early to be writing off a second year player
Not so sure about this GB. I think he'll be the #3Won't be worth a crap this year
Cook is a bum. Always has been. I don't care what he looks like in practice.Word on twitter is that Cook looked fantastic. Caught 4 TDs from Rodgers in 11-on-11s. Montgomery looked very good as well.
Heard it was 3, but he ran 4.49 at the combine and showed his speed last night.Word on twitter is that Cook looked fantastic. Caught 4 TDs from Rodgers in 11-on-11s. Montgomery looked very good as well.
Not sure this is true. I don't know where Cook is getting drafted but I am guessing there's upside here.Cook is a bum. Always has been. I don't care what he looks like in practice.
Who have his QBs been?flapgreen said:Cook is a bum. Always has been. I don't care what he looks like in practice.
Barrington and Jake Ryan are listed as the starters right now. But 4th round rookie Blake Martinez is getting a ton of press so far in camp. He's been working with the 1st team a lot, including in the nickel and dime packages. Speculation from beat writers is that he will start and play a lot. What's the ILB story here? I have Barrington hanging round the end of my bench, who's starting inside?
Word is they did try trading him and no interest. Sitton is in the last year of his contract and couldn't get anything done. Making about 6+ million this year. Maybe that's more than they wanted to pay for a guy with a bad back.was shocked also....and also shocked that they didn't at least try to trade him, or maybe they did and no takers.....will be interesting if/when we get some insight on this move
He is smartest guy in the room. We know nothing what is going on and neither side is saying much. Sitton has had back issues and stated he lost 20 lbs prior to camp to elevate the pain. 30 year old lineman with back issues have no trade value as there was no deal with a conditional pick even. Sitton is going to mention any back issues because he wants to get another contract that pays him.jurrassic said:Thompson trying to be the smartest guy in the room, Sitton cut, Lindsey on PUP, the line is a mess. Now they are talking about moving 3 guys around a week before the season starts? Add to that keeping only 3 ILB's, having no long snapper currently on the roster and keeping a total of 13 rookies.
OH yeah. Sitton so bad off that he made pro bowl 3 of last 4 years. Poor guy is finished. He is smartest guy in the room. We know nothing what is going on and neither side is saying much. Lindsey is back after he clears PUP list and then we can move Tretter to guard if needed. Spriggs is an option to start and move Bulaga. Barclay could slide into the starting guard spot. Ted is not going to make this move for money he had cap room and he wants to win.
We have Clay who can move back inside and IMO should have stayed there. McCarthy and his average staff have once again let the player make the call instead of the coach.
Packers suck and Ted really has outsmarted himselfjurrassic said:Thompson trying to be the smartest guy in the room, Sitton cut, Lindsey on PUP, the line is a mess. You are really making a fool of yourself. Besides, Packers fans should thank you for Peppers. Idiot.Packers suck and Ted really has outsmarted himself
Well if there is someone that knows all about sucking it would be a Bears fanYou are really making a fool of yourself. Besides, Packers fans should thank you for Peppers. Idiot.
I don't buy this. The Packers beat writers are the most neutered in the league and consistently defend the team instead of challenging them.KingPrawn said:Good article in the paper today about the Sitton move. Cited several personnel people that it wasn't surprising. Bad back, large contract, and they saw signs of slippage in his play in the last year. I guess time will tell. But Bill Walsh always said it was better to get rid of a guy a year too early than a year too late.
Bears fan calling people losers is classic stuff.flapgreen said:Thanks for Sitton, losers.
While he is...your predictions last year make tou look even worse than Flap's schtickIheartGuinness said:You are really making a fool of yourself. Besides, Packers fans should thank you for Peppers. Idiot.
The only real reason to cut him would be to use his roughly $7 million in savings to extend guys in-season (the Packers were already $9.7 million under the cap). The problem with that, however, is most of those guys haven't proven yet that they deserve a contract extension. Bahktiari, Tretter, Perry, Lacy, Jones. Add to that, Peppers $10.5 million that will come off the cap after the year and most likely $6.5 from Lang, as I don't see how you offer him $7 million to play guard when your slotting rules prohibit you from paying Sitton that. Lang is also only a year younger than Sitton.I agree with Jurrassic, like most of the outside world saw this as a stupid move. I don't care if he does have a questionable back and makes big money, I would rather have the best QB in the league protected. Rodgers will be running for his life against anyone that can apply some pressure, which against us will be everyone. It makes no sense to cut Sitton in the last year of his contract, let him play it out and then let him walk. As far as I know we aren't even in any sort of cap room issues. This may be the case of out smarting ourselves.
Here we go guy is a PRO BOWLER. That award is first based on a popularity contest and then if a guy even wants to go. Each year there are more Pro Bowlers than the roster holds because so many people decide not to go and they go down the list.flapgreen said:OH yeah.
