The ill advised experiment with larger roster (29) is over.

When none of your positions include a player in the top 8 of auction value you're doing it wrong.

I'm out!

My deepest run yet and have 27 players. Only 3/27 have not made it into my lineup as of yet- Alfred Morris, Jared Cook and not sure why I picked him but Crockett Gillmore. 1 player- Demarco Murray has counted for me every week so far (Melvin Gordon has counted in all but one week). Booker, Hogan and Virgil Green counted for me last week for the first time.

My deepest run yet and I only have 20 players. But key is I don't have any dead money. This contest is as much luck as any other metric anybody wants to beat thier chest about.

   Gordon and RG3 are going to hurt, especially when I had Enunwa and Doyle in there before deciding to take 3 QBs. :wall:   (not that 3 QBs is automatically a poor choice, but perhaps I should avoid Browns)

RG3, Gordon, and Alfred Morris haven't counted.  Virgil Green, Derrick Henry, Eli Rogers, and Funchess counted once.

25 players.  Scored in the 190s twice, staying alive but no explosive weeks (yet, hopefully).

Josh Gordon could still be reinstated, which would be potentially huge for the 766 of us who still have him.

Beat the cut by 40 almost every week to get here, but I think this is the week I get cut:

Looks good now w Evans

Observations:

  • Not loving the QBs, so I'm willing to spend top dollar on Aaron Rodgers.
  • I have three tickets with Colin Kaepernick. Feels like he's a good value.
  • Darren Sproles a real bargain.
  • I'm scared, but I have Mark Ingram on three tickets. Looking for a solid comeback.
  • Feels like Ezekiel Elliott will be worth every penny this week.
  • No way am I spending money on Amari Cooper.
  • Jarvis Landry a nice price and should be productive.
  • Kyle Rudolph might outperform every TE not named Greg Olsen this week.
  • Graham Gano has a good week and now he's the most expensive K? No thank you.
  • I like the Baltimore defense.
  • Aside from Baltimore, not happy with most of the Ds and am willing to spend top dollar on Minn.

90th overall so far, but I'm thinking this is the week I go home. Brady, David Johnson, James White, Chris Hogan, Zach Miller, Dustin Hopkins, and Bears D all on BYE, and Charles Sims injured. Week 13 will also be difficult. Apparently I liked the Titans in this contest.

So with this, here is my week 9 team. Really need a big day out of Stafford and the Titans running backs.

Stafford

DeMarco Murray

Derrick Henry

Antonio Brown

Julio Jones

Marvin Jones

Funchess

Rishard Matthews

Jermaine Kearse

Quinton Patton

Kenny Stills

Clive Walford

Virgil Green

Crockett Gilmore

Jesse James

Matt Prater

Aguayo

Nick Folk

Lions

Chargers

Titans

I'm surprised cutline still at 0 after seemingly everyone who played went off last night
Maybe less than 2300 of the remaining teams took Bucs or Falcons?  Or the site manager didn't turn that function on as it's pretty irrelevant before Sunday.

Or to put it the other way... 800 of 3100 people get cut this week. So, just takes 800 people to not have someone from TB or ATL for cut to still be at 0. Ownership numbers for some of the players:

Winston 564

Ryan 151

Freeman 161

Sanu 360

Julio 286

Evans 616

Wouldn't be too hard for roughly 1/4th of the remaining field to have nobody from either team.

Also, a lot could happen the rest of the weekend but with 25% of my 28 man roster out on bye (5) or injury (2), was nice to have Ryan, Sanu and Bryant get me a head start on the field this week.

48 teams picked Brady, Gronk, and David Johnson for a combined $75 -- arguably the top QB, RB, and TE.  12 are still alive, despite no help from Brady and Gronk the first 4 weeks.

With all 3 of them on bye this week, perhaps most of the 12 remaining teams won't survive to next week.

I like the odds going forward for any of those 12 teams that survive this week, which will hopefully include mine.

Here's my remaining lineup without all the bye players.  With little room for underperformance, I need the active guys to produce :

That's a great team.  No offense, but we have to hope you get bumped this week.

Interesting week, with a lot left to go,  alfred Morris is currently my top rb yet I'm in the top 300 - for now with McCoy and Michael left. :)

155.4 after the afternoon games.

Carr - all points count

Cmike/Dwash -5.6

Virgil -4.3

Hoping I'm through the Brady-gronk-Bennett-white bye week hell.

Good luck to all

Big week for me this week. 197 so far with several chances to bump it higher and in 51st place before the final 2 games. Still just buys me one more week to sweat. Pretty sure this is the furthest I've ever made it and it's definitely the best team I've ever had.

Was really short handed this week  with byes and dinged-up players but looks like I will somehow survive.   I think only CMike can really shatter the cutline tomorrow , and I do have him.  My MVP this week: Chargers D!!

Time to sweat the Turk I'm 2 points above the cut with a heavily owned Christine Michael -6.5 and bills kicker -12.5 I'm In trouble folks

No offense taken, but I'm over 50 above the cut line without Brady/Gronk/DJohnson, so hopefully my team will be there to the end.  I think my chances are good as long as the injury bug doesn't hit...

In the clubhouse at 167.95. Looks like I survived the week I was most worried about. Got 0 points from my RB2, 6.7 from my TE. Matt Prater and Chargers D...thank you!

I have had a pretty consistent score week in and week out. This is the farthest i have ever made it in this contest but i don't feel too strongly about my chances as we push on towards the end. Love this contest and spend way too much time obsessing and over analyzing after the fact on better choices that could have been made. Good luck to all that remain.

It looks like this was my last week. I'm 11 below the cutoff with CMike and Dan Carpenter to go (he only has to get more than 2 points to be my top kicker). I guess that's what happens when you have 29 guys and 13 don't register any points due to injury/bye.

9 above cut line with Michael to play and all of his points counting. Did not think I had a chance this week going into it with all but one of my positional players having to count.

Brady/Bennett/Edelman/Hogan/Fuller/DJohnson and hopefully Ware coming back. Hoping some of the many Ware owners get bounced. With no more bye issues, liking my chances to get into top 250.

This was my scary week with Brady out but sitting at 202 with Tyrod going tonight +0. :excited:

Still think I'm not long for this contest with Decker done.

Finished at #23 with 216.55 points. And it doesn't mean a thing unless I make it to the money round

All I have left is Christine Michael.

Finished with 174.05.  Next week will be tough with 5/20 of my roster on bye (all Oakland Raiders). If I can survive that, bye week issues are mostly behind me.

Currently at 136.25 and the cut is about 4 points less......it's going to be close.

I have no business advancing this week....I had only 1 RB available due to byes and injuries (Powell) and both of my defenses were on bye.

Looks like I may have survived by .5 points despite having 9 of my players on bye.  I was dreading this week all season, but perhaps I'll squeak by.

ouch, that hurts. I was cruising so easily all year long, but my team laid an egg this week. I'm out by about 2 points. I thought I would hang on. I finished 5th or 6th overall a few years ago, but it's been tough getting back there.
