My gut is telling me Isaac for some reason, especially if the C's seem willing to trade down again
Or Tatum...I agree with your thinking...when they made that deal they needed to be pretty much 100% sure their guy was there...Fultz was definitely out and the two names tied to the Lakers were Ball and possibly Jackson...that leaves Tatum and Isaac unless a real big curve ball like a Fox comes out of left field...

Cleveland Cavs offering Kevin Love to Phoenix Suns in a 3 team trade scenario for Jimmy Butler.

Meanwhile, Marc Stein reported the Phoenix Suns could include the 4th pick and Eric Bledsoe in a potential trade.

I'd hate this move for Chicago.  Bledsoe offers nothing other than being another trade chip.  I think the Bulls would go with Fox at 4 and then have 5 PGs on the roster again.

I don't see it happening, but who knows with the clowns that run this franchise...

It is the Magic, they will probably reach for a point guard, try to move Elfrid to the 2 bring Fournier off the bench, start Biz and Vucevic together and move Gordon back to the 3.

Wouldn't give 4 and bledsoe if suns for Love. Particularly after just drafting 2 4/5s last draft. None of them of them are 3s (even though I'm sure they'll try to experiment). Chriss played fine as a 19 year old in 2nd half last year. Bender generally looked clueless last summer league and what he played last year but see what u got.

Odds are they'll take the worst top 10 player...I mean that's even worse than the Knicks....right? :oldunsure:
Luckily for them, the Kings pick before them, then again a few picks after them. So they'll likely botch the pick, but in comparison to whatever the Kings do, it'll look good in comparison.

I'm excited to see the Kings another big with the 5th pick (Zach Collins?, some foreigner out of left field?, Jonathan Jeanne because they didn't hear about his medical record?) then take Kennard with the 10th pick.

I would be very surprised to see them make a big move like that. What is Love going to do? Help them win 35 games? If I were them, I would be looking to trade Bledsoe for assets and to start Knight in hopes that he revives his value enough to trade him without giving up assets in 2018.

Nate Duncan has talked about sending Bledsoe to Utah, and that makes a ton of sense to me from both sides. Something centered around Derrick Favors (who is still 25!) would work salary wise, maybe Utah would need to throw in their picks at 24 and 30 this year.

HOLY #### WHAT A COLLECTION OF DOG#### THIS ROSTER IS. SERIOUSLY CONTRACT THIS TEAM

PG: Elfrid Payton

SG: Evan Fournier ??

C: Biz/Vic ?

PF: Aaron Gordon

SF: your mom? ??

there are no bench players. If there is any upside (there isn't) it's that Elfrid and Gordon played pretty well in the second half but it's still unlikely either becomes a top-15 guy at their position. This team sucks, it needs to draft best available and I can't wait for football to start. ?
tear it down - Vuc is the only plus player at his position and the game has passed that kind of guy by.

Gasol is turning down his option with the Spurs for next year...wants a longer term deal on less annual salary.
I'm really surprised to hear that. Centers are going to have a very depressed market this year. There isn't much demand around the league and the supply is pretty high. What would he reasonably get? He turns 37 in two weeks. Ideally from a team's prospective he is a 2/20 player. Maybe somebody is willing to give him something like 3/36 but that would be a bad contract in at least the last year, maybe the last two.

The good news for the Spurs is that all they need to do is dump Tony Parker (or maybe even stretch him) to get enough cap space to get Chris Paul. They might even be able to re-sign Simmons in that scenario and I think they would still have the cap mid level and the bi-annual to fill out the roster. They would be a great destination for some of the vet bigs on cheap contracts (Amir Johnson, Andrew Bogut, Nene, maybe fliers on Donuts and T Jones). And maybe some old wings (Carter, Ginobili again).

The could field a pretty decent team around Paul, Aldridge, Leonard, and Green.

The good news is I think everybody with the exception of Biyombo and maybe Augustin (some desperate team might take him near the deadline as an injury stop-gap) would be tradable without taking back bad salary or giving up assets and they have all their own picks plus a few bonus picks this year. Hitting the reset button would be easy.

Woj is saying Phil is open to moving Porzingis and is looking at Markkanen at 8.  Shoot me.

id like to see the bucks try to trade jabrarioni for someone solid i like him but his knee is hamburger and he does not fit with what the bucks do he is soft on d and takes the ball away from others that play both ways that is a harsh assessment from the old swcer but its true and the time has come and that time is right now not later take that to the bank bromigos

@netw3rk someone please plant drugs and automatic weapons in phil jackson's car
I sort of just want to see him do it just to see the reaction.  I guess he could also deal him to Phoenix for the 4 and Bender or Chriss (or something like that).  Just shoot me.

maybe orlandos team is also the guys inside the suits for disneys dancing on ice series so maybe they draft based on heights needed to fill up the beast costume which was a big hit this year or zazoo from pride rock so although as a fan you get mad if you are the disney orlando magic the picks are a good business decision look all i am saying is that you dont know what goes on behind the scenes take that to the bank bromigos

it's a tall world after all?!

Whether accidental or not, and even accounting for the Papa G disaster, Vlade actually did pretty well last year.

Skal was a good pick, and the trade to drop in the draft was a good idea. Sure seemed like they lucked into that though.

Remember when you talked about all the potential this team had?

Doesnt really matter.  You either need to be Ws fan or Cavs fan

I suspect you are right, hence my qualifier. But that said, there are probably 15+ teams that wish they had "lucked into" him before pick 28. Getting Bogdan in that deal, who some say would be worth a 11-19 pick this year, was a great move. And he also turned Belinelli into Malachi Richardson, who I think can be a rotation player in the league.

How are he and Ben Simmons both going to average triple doubles?
might be the biggest question for the season. Maybe Embiid gets his through points, blocks and Rebs. Simmons gets his through points, assists, and steals. I think by January we will be seeing a lot of teams quit against the Sixers so they may try to boost some stats

I hate to be mean to the Celtic fans, but it is going to be really funny (to me at least) if they mess this up and get smoked by the Cavs again and then Philly and Milwaukee fly right by them because they wanted to push their "window" out 3 more years.

Please move this silly thread to the basketball forum so A)I don't have to make these posts anymore and B) I don't have to read these incredibly lame and unfunny 50-word thread titles.
