Those are fun but I don't find it fun to be tethered to my phone because a few guys are making 400 transactions a year. Puts others who can't do that at a major disadvantage.

I wanted to use my crappy player who was sitting on the waiver wire after a draft of 1400 players :ptts:

I finished 12th because I couldn't use the Giants RF that I claimed on April 3rd :ptts:

I drafted a Twins 1B who was DFA'd a few months ago, and then he got DFA'd again and now I have nobody at my util spot :ptts:

 
amazing that the owner rostering a guy third in line to close for the Phillies and a guy who hasn't had an OBP above .300 since 2014 can't understand stashing upside and streaming utility spots

You didn't stash upside, you drafted a horrible player not capable of playing in the majors. You should draft players who play in the majors, Mr. Phoenix. 

Edit: Benoit also has a K/9 of 10, 10 and 9 the last 3 years. All I wanted at that spot.

The settings are currently "Roster Changes:    Daily - Tomorrow".

For a custom league, we should be able to change that to "today".

It's not 2 days, it's the same waiver timeline we've always used and we're not changing from waivers to FA after the season started. This was discussed weeks ago, should have had this talk then. I've never seen a league change the rules to appease people after the season kicked off. 

Hopefully it can be changed to same day and we can move on.

Sorry, but it's not the same waiver timeline we've always used.  Players used to be roster eligible "same day".  Pickles said that is not an option this year, and only "tomorrow" is.

You've never been able to use players you got on waivers on the same day. I assume you are thinking of free agents.

No the changes were made because not everybody can be tied to the yahoo app all day Countless leagues have waivers (most of them weekly or FAAB) instead of grab and go free agency. It's hardly rare. Get over it dorks.

Have no problem with daily waivers and don't have a clue wth is happening in here.  Yahoo seriously only lets us do daily waivers if we pick guys up weeks in advance?

Weeks?

if you want a guy tonight, you put the claim in. It runs at like 2 or 3 am est tomorrow morning (Friday). The player is then eligible to be used on your team on Saturday. 

Shuke is of the belief that you can play the guys tomorrow.

Baseball HQ podcast and Ron Shandler himself basically said this was an amateur format based on the WW/FAAB/FCFS system we employ.  Pie did this last year and somehow we followed, so pieleeg>>>>cakeleeg at the end of the day.

No it wasn't. You're thinking of free agency. You've never been able to use a waiver claim on the same day in yahoo, baseball or football.

Sorry, but you're wrong.  There is a "daily-today" option in yahoo custom leagues for roster changes.  See here as example.

My theory is that "daily-tomorrow" was set or inadvertently changed by Pickles and once the season started the settings were locked in.

I'm good with that if it's an option. assuming it works I don't know why it wouldn't be the default. :shrug:  

 
This sure is a lot of words and crying about a bunch of crap players who aren't going to help anybody's team. Like the first 3 relievers to close on each team are already gone.

I know it's whining after the fact.  Just takes a lot of fun out of it for me personally, as I usually go light on starting pitching during the draft and then stream.  This makes it much more a pain in the ###.
