2017 Summer Football Tournament- Tournament cancelled, everyone go home (1 Viewer)

Very unlucky for Germany imo, not to say France doesn't deserve to be in the final. Two gifted goals nicely converted, otherwise the Germans were far better despite missing three key players

Now I've got to decide whether I want to pull my son off the lake we'll be camping at on Sunday to watch this final at some dank tavern in the sticks - a game which has a very high risk of disappointing.

Germany losing a major international match is so odd to see.

How long does Sunday's game go on before Fonte and Bruno completely lose track of where Griezmann is?

Pep better play and it'll be on Adrian to mark Tony imo. He put Modric on a leash and has been great at harassing the opposition's playmaker.

Griez starts out further forward, so it'll be interesting to see if Santos sticks with that tactic.

Pep and Fonte will have to deal with the knockdowns from Oliver, leaving Adrian/Danilo/William to watch Anthony.

And if pep starts, he'll own Oliver

On vacation and didn't get to watch until around 9pm.  (thus no Deutschland Deutschland Deutschland post pre game ... wait, maybe it was me!) Germany deserved to be in the lead after that first half, they just couldn't finish.  They had some pretty good shots in the second as well, but they were disjointed and never seemed to really mount anything organized.  Once down they spent too much time chasing the game.

I think Löw need to start using zip ties and training players to keep their arms down.

I was telling my friend today that I really liked the way Germany played in the 2010 WC with their quick strike offense and counters.  The high possession and low scoring will catch you in the end (see Bayern).  Germany used to be so dangerous on corners because they had such dominance in size and in the air, now they are reduced to taking short corners.

I'm of German and French heritage so I will be pulling for France Sunday, and against CR7 naturally.

Points earned to date for the semi finalists, and Euros gained

France 8256.60 - 18.5 million
Portugal 5711.31 - 17.5 million

The winner of the final will get an additional 8 million Euros, the loser gets 5  million

A French victory will earn them 1710.72 points, a Portuguese victory gets 1630.53 points

A PK shootout victory for France will get them 1140.48 and Portugal would get 543.51
A PK shootout victory for Portugal will get them 1087.02 and France would get 570.24

So given that Cristiano Ronaldo has slipped to pretty much being only a goalscoring threat with his head, does he have to win today to be known as the 'male Abby Wambach' or does he already have that title?  Asking for a friend.
