The fact that they chose to move the Coyotes to the Central (rather than move Colorado to the Pacific and Edmonton and Calgary to the Central) seems to indicate next stop: HoustonFor expansion or relocation?

2nd career game - first goal, first assist, first fightFun stat from the Caps game, where the new defenseman has a goal, assist and fight... Gordie Howe had TWO Gordie Howe hat tricks in his career.
I thought the dude who banked the puck off of the back of the net on the wrap around in OT for the USA was also sweet. Deft.meh, gotta finish off the comeback after that. sweet gw by Sweden though
If I remember correctly I think that was Quinn Hughes.I thought the dude who banked the puck off of the back of the net on the wrap around in OT for the USA was also sweet. Deft.
I think it was.If I remember correctly I think that was Quinn Hughes.
@cjzero: I've never seen a guy get tripped twice on one breakaway - Swiss were awarded TWO penalty shots and did not score on either https://twitter.com/cjzero/status/1079566970029248513/video/1GB the world jrs. 2 penalty shots awarded on the same play. Who knew?
Both failed
that's crazy@cjzero: I've never seen a guy get tripped twice on one breakaway - Swiss were awarded TWO penalty shots and did not score on either https://twitter.com/cjzero/status/1079566970029248513/video/1
Should have come off the bench and tripped him again during the penalty shots... just to make sure..that's crazy
Wow! Love the moving camera shot there too.@cjzero: I've never seen a guy get tripped twice on one breakaway - Swiss were awarded TWO penalty shots and did not score on either https://twitter.com/cjzero/status/1079566970029248513/video/1
Can't afford their cap numbers. Unless they take Suter and Parise.jesus.
Fenton> please send all of it for Seguin and Benn
Karma for the 14 goal crapgood try, Canada. you still finished in front of Kazakhstan and Denmark. maybe they make a trophy for that.
Really?Apparently Morgan Frost was benched for all of OT but i don't know why.
busy still celebrating 3rd period goals against DenmarkApparently Morgan Frost was benched for all of OT but i don't know why.
That's what I'm seeing on TwitterReally?
Apparently first time ever we haven't medalled when tourney in canada. Epic fail.good try, Canada. you still finished in front of Kazakhstan and Denmark. maybe they make a trophy for that.
Ot was only 5 minutes. Lots of guys didnt see the ice. That being said i don't recall hearing his name much at all during the game.Apparently Morgan Frost was benched for all of OT but i don't know why.
To summarize: Hunter is an idiot. That's what I'm seeing on Twitter
ETA
@billmeltzer: Frost finishes WJC with 8 points (4 G, 4 A) in 5 GP-- tied for tourney lead with USA's Ryan Poehling -- and was +8 (tied with linemate Barrett Hayton for tourney best to date). Started Canada's only goal sequence tonight. But didn't see the ice in OT.
@billmeltzer: Frost leads OHL with seven shorthanded points this season. Hunter didn't view him as a PK guy. A no-brainer PP1 guy, but was used on PP2.
I thought him and Timmins were both excellent for Canada in that tournament. I didn't remember him getting limited ice time, but thought he led all dmen in scoring.A lot of people were upset that Cale Makar didn’t go to the Olympics last year and turned down other Canadian National team opportunities this season. A big reason supposedly is because he felt he got buried in the World Juniors a year ago.
I think there is a general bias against Canadian kids playing in the NCAA when it comes to this tourney. It's starting to turn due to Cale last year - this year Ian Mitchell and Shane Bowers made it. But I think selection and usage get skewed towards Canadian Juniors.A lot of people were upset that Cale Makar didn’t go to the Olympics last year and turned down other Canadian National team opportunities this season. A big reason supposedly is because he felt he got buried in the World Juniors a year ago.
Makar had a lot of points but didn't get much ice time if memory serves. wasn't he scratched too?I thought him and Timmins were both excellent for Canada in that tournament. I didn't remember him getting limited ice time, but thought he led all dmen in scoring.
crazy, but they won gold so guess it still worked out ok for them.I looked it up. only played over 10 min once in a game against a contender (vs Czechs in semis). only played 8:31 in the championship after posting 3G 5A in the prior 6 games.
vs FIN 6:54
vs SVK 25:12 (2A)
vs USA 9:27 (1G)
vs DEN 15:48 (1G)
Medal Round
vs SUI 18:14 (1G 1A)
vs CZE 11:29 (2A)
vs SWE 8:31
TSN would get more viewers if they replayed last years semi and then finalCanada getting knocked out really killed the tv schedule.
US/Russia starts at 1pm Pacific tomorrow while Finland/Switzerland gets the prime time slot at 5pm Pacific.
