2020 MLB Spring Training (1 Viewer)

Ok , is it me, or was the lady with the yellow shirt sitting directly in line with the center field camera earlier in the game? I swear they were basically over the catchers right shoulder.

She is now sitting one section over to the left. And by left, I mean looking at my tv.

Not liking the flow of this game for Houston.  Their bats have gone silent in Tampa.  Four runs seems like a big ask.  Hope I'm wrong.

Even though it was only one inning on Friday, when he struck out the side, you could tell that was not a guy anyone would want to face right now.

Nats are actually in the driver's seat now, nothing to lose.
LOL at showing all the quotes here .  You do seem to be getting ahead of yourself but are also positioning it so that you are in a no lose situation.

Boy, this is not the time of the year you want your bats to go cold.  Astros better figure out their hitting before Thursday if they expect to advance.  Cole can only pitch, he can't score runs.

And I hate to say it, but usually teams don't "figure stuff out" going into an elimination game.  Usually the pressure makes it worse.  Trying too hard.  If I had to bet, I'd put money on the Rays Thursday.  I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's overs.

The classic reverse psychology post. Well played State Farm, well played.

I don't believe much in superstition.  Like Michael Scott said, "I'm not superstitious.  Maybe a little stitious."

But those are my real thoughts.  I've said from the middle of the season that the MLB playoffs are hard and anyone who makes it can win.  So if the Rays advance, it wouldn't shock me.  They won 96 games this year.  It's not like it's the Marlins or Orioles pulling off an upset.  I'm obviously still pulling for the 'Stros, but I don't think they would be the favorite right now.  Astros have averaged less than 2 1/2 runs in the past 3 games and about 6 hits.  This is a team that was putting up scores that looked like college football scores a couple of weeks ago.  When everyone was hitting homeruns.  But the well has dried up.  We are currently in a drought.  And we have one game to figure how to get this train back on the tracks.

The Astros are the favorite because Cole is pitching. If it was Wade Miley or rando guy it would be 52/48 in their favor imo. Implied Vegas odds have them at a ludicrous 72% to win

Like I said, Cole can't score runs.  He pitched great in Game 2 and we still barely won because our closer forgot how to pitch.  And that's not even a joke.  He literally was throwing the wrong pitches all night and when interviewed, he said he didn't know why he was throwing so many offspeed pitches.

Also, Verlander's a pretty good pitcher, too.  How'd he do last night?

I do have to say, it feels weird arguing on the internet as to why I think the Astros will lose.

Vegas odds mean nothing.  All that's saying is most people are picking the Astros.  There's no science or analytics or even thought behind it.  It's simply a function of where the money is being placed.  Vegas' only job is to try to get the same amount of people to bet on one team as is bet on the other.  That's a guaranteed win-win-win situation.
