SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
Astros getting screwed this postseason in some non-reviewable calls.
Alvarez is a 0% risk of running. As a pitcher, sometimes you throw over to mess with the batter’s timing. Can anyone explain why Scherzer just lobs it to first on pick offs?
I didn't realize that happened in Houston. They put that netting up this year after a guy from the Cubs hit a little girl.
They just answered that.Has Cole given up 5 runs this year?
He needs to finish this 1/2 inning tho.You know the Astros are slumping when Scherzer’s going to get a win with this pitching performance.
I don’t think using Corbin changes that much. Almost a side session; just a question if he starts Game 3 or Game 4 now.Nats using Corbin means they better win it. Can't waste it.
Yeah, I think you just push Corbin to game 4 now.I don’t think using Corbin changes that much. Almost a side session; just a question if he starts Game 3 or Game 4 now.
Next inning is the big one. Hoping Davey goes straight to Doolittle or Hudson with the top of the order up (and skips Rainey), but I guess we’ll see.
Whelp in my face he found a different way to screw it up.Ugh breaking ball low and inside strike 3 here it comes.
Was my first thought as well but since the guy on second went back to tag I dont think he would have been able to because he couldn't be sure that other guy would be sent home.As good as Springer is, that could have been a triple had he been running hard out of the box.
Good point. But had he made it to 3rd, he could have scored just now on that flyout to right. Was my first thought as well but since the guy on second went back to tag I dont think he would have been able to because he couldn't be sure that other guy would be sent home.
Regardless he should have run hard.
It'll be interesting to hear what's said after the game. It will be a discussion point for sure if Astros dont come backGood point. But had he made it to 3rd, he could have scored just now on that flyout to right.
I don't think he would have made it and I don't think you try for that in that situation. It'll be interesting to hear what's said after the game. It will be a discussion point for sure if Astros dont come back
After Acuna did it the chatter about the balls being de-juiced popped up. I bet that hit clears the fences by 15 feet in August. It'll be interesting to hear what's said after the game. It will be a discussion point for sure if Astros dont come back
He would have made it easily. Dude was already a few steps past second by the time the ball got back to the infield even with him not starting to run until the ball hit the ground.I don't think he would have made it and I don't think you try for that in that situation.
Weird, because he certainly didn't come out of the box running. He was willing it out of the park by dancing down the line with the bat in his hands. I highly doubt Tucker had much to do with his decision to do that.Springer basically blamed Tucker for the base running mistake.
That's a lame excuse for not hustling. Even if Tucker had to tag at 2nd (if the ball was caught), then Springer is out anyway. No reason for him not to hustle to 2nd. Of course don't touch second with Tucker there. So say that Springer and Tucker are close to 2nd base because Tucker is tagging... Tucker still made it home from second after it hit the fence. Is Springer saying that he (also standing/running close to 2nd) couldn't have made it to 3rd after the ball hit the wall? Tucker made it all the way home but he couldn't make it to 3rd. Uh huh.Springer explained: “I don’t want to necessarily run as fast as I can because, for some reason," said the Astros outfielder in his postgame interview of Houston's 5-4 loss to the Washington Nationals, "if (Kyle Tucker) tags or whatever the case and I run by him, it’s not good. I was watching the outfielder.
