Sorry, felt obligated to post this, for the youngsters out there.....
Too much BijačThe pronunciation of Marko Bijač, the goalie for Croatia's water polo team, is giving me far too much enjoyment. I am a child.
Haha. Yeah me too.The pronunciation of Marko Bijač, the goalie for Croatia's water polo team, is giving me far too much enjoyment. I am a child.
That play was bizarre though. US challenges the serve being called out....and win the challenge. Afaik, Canada then immediately re-challenged the exact same play...and it was called out, so the US loses the point.Women’s beach volleyball USA vs Canada. Huge point late in the deciding game and there’s a replay challenge on a serve that’s razor close to the back line.
The commentator, during the review, honest to God just said “it’s so quiet in here that you could literally hear a pin drop.”
Yep, not surprising as there are quite literally zero people in the stadium.![]()
I MUST have understood that wrong, because htf is that possible? That play was bizarre though. US challenges the serve being called out....and win the challenge. No chance I wouldn’t have gotten a red card there. It’s was crazy close but I don’t see how they could say it was in on replay and then out on the same replay. That play was bizarre though. Like I said..has to be something else, because how in the muther duck does a VAR judge change their minds after already making the call?No chance I wouldn’t have gotten a red card there. It’s was crazy close but I don’t see how they could say it was in on replay and then out on the same replay.
Jamaica women take gold, silver, bronze in 100m in track. But they sure weren't very friendly to each other after the race.
Silver and bronze had some smiles for each other, but not so much for gold. I'd have figured they'd be excited for each other with the Jamaican sweep. Gotta be some back story there.Jamaica women take gold, silver, bronze in 100m in track. But they sure weren't very friendly to each other after the race.
I noticed that, too. The silver and bronze barely acknowledged the woman who won.
Rory Sabbatini is Slovakian now?
In early 2019, Sabbatini changed his citizenship from South Africa to Slovakia, the home country of his wife and stepson. Sabbatini's wife's cousin is the vice president of the Slovak Golf Association. Initially, there was speculation that the move was made in order for Sabbatini to qualify for the 2020 Olympics, but he said it was to help grow the game in that country. The Olympics use the OWGR (Official World Golf Ranking) for qualification and the 201st-ranked Sabbatini would not have qualified for South Africa with ten others ahead of him. Sabbatini also has a UK passport and US citizenship.
