2021 FBG Subscriber Contest (5 Viewers)

For anyone still in the contest, please post a link to your team so we can all follow along and root for you.  We really need a regular poster to win this thing.

Stay tuned for more rants on wasting money on expensive K's and D's...

Here is mine. Have been pretty lucky with injuries. If I can past this week, I feel pretty good about my bye weeks. Would feel better if Chubb was playing this week.

I’m still in it, although surely not for long. Here's my unimpressive roster…

https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/101351
QB's - It took cahones to roster 2 rookies and quite possibly the most volatile fantasy QB over the past few seasons.

RB's - Melvin just won't seem to go away, huh?  You've basically survived the contest with 2.75 RB's.

WR's - Every guy has stepped up in multiple weeks for you.  Would be nice to get AB healthy.

TE's - Spent some decent bucks on TE's, and so far it's paid off.

K's & D's - A couple of cheap ones each, and they are doing the job.

While I am leery of your QB's, the rest of your squad is solid.  Good luck this week!

Here's my squad. I just tried to make my floor as solid as possible, so I built around PPR machine WRs and cheap RBs. Figured that it'll be an injury riddled crapshoot at the end so the important thing was just to stay alive.
QB's - Do you realize you'd still be alive with only Teddy at the helm?

RB's - A healthy Robinson this week will be a sight for sore eyes.  I have a feeling McKissic is gonna be quite useful to you.

WR's - A few injuries here and there, but your corps is certainly pulling their weight.

TE's - I gotta hand it to ya, Knox was a good choice (pun intended).

K's & D's - I am a huge fan of cheapies, but a cardinal sin is bye week conflicts.  Hopefully DEN D can score well vs Mahomes in week 13.

You haven't really had to sweat too much, except for last week.  Keep on rolling!

Still in it, and I went el cheapo on the K's and D's...lol!:

https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/102210
QB's - A few underperforming backups behind Aaron, hope one of them can get you thru week 13

RB's - Now, I am not saying you are glad Kamara is hurt.  Oh wait, yes I am.

WR's - Your cheapies were a nice fill-in while Jeudy was recovering.

TE's - Spent a decent amount, but well worth it.  I like seeing flex scores at the TE position.

K's & D's - See?  It's not really that hard to find the cheap K's that will produce.  And D's too.

If Chubb can shake the bug, this will be one of my front runners.  Nice rooster and best of luck!

Here's mine: https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/101065

MVP for me by position have been T. Brady, N. Harris, C. Kupp, M. Gesicki (although he put up a goose egg on Thursday), and the DAL D.  No MVP kickers as I've basically used them all.

Week 11 still going to be the biggest problem for me with Kupp and Jeudy on bye and C. Ridley unavailable.
QB's - You hit the QB trifecta.  Just think, if Brady had scored only 51.15 in week 5, you would've been eliminated.

RB's - You really need Robinson's heel to heal.  Najee's back is hurting from carrying alot of weight.

WR's - Worried for you and your $17 worth of receivers in week 11.  Fun fact though - Gabriel, Jakobi, and Bryan are the only offensive fantasy players listed on Yahoo with those first names.

TE's - Welcome back, George.  Mike held down the fort quite well in his absence.  Get well Gronk.

K's & D's - A tad rich for my blood at K, but well done on the D's.

As you said yourself, week 11 will be brutal.  I will make a bold prediction - Jakobi will score his first NFL TD and save your bacon.  Cheers!

Yep.  And that week Dallas had a late game pick 6 to raise their score to 10.  Had that not happened, I would have had to use the Eagles 9 points and would have been eliminated by less than 1 point instead of making the cut by less than 1 point.  Fun contest :crazy:   :lol:

I was hesitant to post it before because it felt like a slam dunk jinx but now with Woods out who cares

https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/106235
I don't believe you fell for the old "post your roster" routine.  You are surely jinxed now!

QB's - I love it.  No muss, no fuss.  Just pick a stud and find a cheap backup.

RB's - When the red numbers start migrating to the bottom of your RB's, that's a bad sign.

WR's - That's alot of dough sitting on the sidelines.  Gonna be an uphill battle.

TE's - I heard Jonnu may turn into a RB/TE ala Keith Byars from year's past.

K's & D's - Snag a few inexpensive ones and go with em.

Hey, just remember this - of the 9758 contest entries, only 20 of them can say they scored higher than you in a single week.  Hang in there!

Here is mine. Have been pretty lucky with injuries. If I can past this week, I feel pretty good about my bye weeks. Would feel better if Chubb was playing this week.
QB's - As a Chargers fan, it's nice to see Herbert.  He and Burrow have gotten you 34+ PPG, not bad at all.

RB's - Your top 3 have done the lifting.  Perhaps your cheapos will contribute this week?

WR's - Kupp and Pittman have been total monsters.  Your WR's are easily the glue to your team.

TE's - Getting Kittle back could mean flex scores from the TE position.

K's & D's - Seeing alot of the same names compared to the others I sifted through, and that's a good thing.

Would be nice for you to see Gibson put up some double digit games.  Nice team all around, with good depth.  Git er done!

There she is. She's not pretty, but she's got a pulse? :shrug:

https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/106701
QB's - One hit and 2 misses.  Luckily the hit was a bullseye.  Gonna need a dud to step up next week.

RB's - Great scores except for week 7.  I like this group alot, if they can stay on the field.

WR's - Gallup needs to giddyup and get back on the gridiron to replace Woods.  I still have faith in Moore.

TE's - Pitts is uncoverable, but needs to find the EZ more.  Let's see more flex scores.

K's & D's - Same old, same old.  Was sure nice to see Dustin get signed by my Chargers.

Considering some of the M*A*S*H units people are still battling with, your's ain't bad at all.  Keep on keeping on!

By my rough manual calculation, I am at 167.2 this week without counting a PK score. Could add a little if K. Allen > 19.0 or Cardinals/Panthers > Dallas DST 12.0

  • Data on my team, flying solo at QB Brady with Z. Wilson and Darnold injured
  • Lost D. Henry & Edwards BLT
  • Remaining RBs - Jms Robinson, Stevenson, Breida, Gallman & Ingram
  • Getting decent WR scores from Pittman, K. Allen and Callaway
  • Outstanding return at TE from Andrews, H. Henry (WPS) and Arnold

Tks for the write-up. I never pick the right quarterback so I usually just go with cheaper options and hope to get lucky. My WRs have carried me, and I hope they keep doing so the job until others step up (like Fields last week.)

157.3 with Stafford (-14.2) Kupp (-14.9) and Michel (-15.1) left. Rhamondre Stevenson and Hunter Henry led the charge and got solid production everywhere else.

Have no idea what my score is but I had a lot of contributors today. Still feel like I’ll need a good night out of Stafford/Henderson to make it.

Still alive and will most likely breeze through this week.  I think I'm at 176.2 with Sony Michel to go (-16.1)

For the most part, I'm pretty happy with My team:

QB:  Brady/Herbert combo has been pretty solid all year.  Both put up less-than-mediocre games this week.

RB:  This squad got off to a very slow start, but we are starting to get great contributions from Rhamondre, and Ingram, as the move to New Orleans has suited him well.

WR: Just a whole slew of mostly value picks.  All healthy, and every single one (of the 11) have contributed at least one week.

TE: Kelce/Andrews combo was all I needed.  Wasted money on Jonnu and Everett.

PK:  In some trouble here. Vizcaino was benched and Blankenship is hurt.  Leaves me with Jason Myers on a lackluster Seahawks team.

DEF: Three pretty unremarkable teams here.

Have no idea what my score is but I had a lot of contributors today. Still feel like I’ll need a good night out of Stafford/Henderson to make it.
According to @kyter1 spreadsheet:

QB - 0.0 (waiting on Stafford)
RB - 41.8 (Rhamondre Stevenson 25.4 and James Robinson 16.4) and waiting on Darrell Henderson
WR - 25.2 (Gabriel Davis 13.5 and Marquez Callaway 11.7) and done at WR
TE - 18.3 (Gerald Everett) and done at TE
Flex - 27.3 (Najee Harris 15.3 and Kyle Pitts 12.0) and waiting on Darrell Henderson
K - 9.6 (Dustin Hopkins) and done at K
D - 9.0 (PHI) and done at D

Total - 131.2
You are currently 6 points above the cut with an entire QB left to play, but Henderson will only start counting for you after 12 points.  I will say you are safely on to week 11.

166.5 with only S.Michel that could potentially count but would need to exceed 11.70 to do so, looks like living another week!

So, for all who have posted their teams, here is where you sit (cutoff right now sits at 125.2):

@rzrback77 - 183.5 - no players left
@wollac - 178.6 - Sony Michel left
@JoeSteeler - 172.25 - Sony Michel, Cooper Kupp, and George Kittle left
@Ted Lange as your Bartender - 170.1 - Sony Michel left
@stubby - 168.8 - Sony Michel left
@Dacomish - 166.5 - Sony Michel left
@Atomic Punk - 164.6 - Matthew Stafford, Sony Michel, Cooper Kupp, Odell Beckham, and Matt Gay left
@Steeler - 162.9 - Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and George Kittle left
@commoncents - 157.6 - Sony Michel left
@Maggot Brain - 137.3 - Sony Michel left
@Hot Sauce Guy - 131.2 - Matthew Stafford and Darrell Henderson left
@Baeddel Moon - 120.4 - Trey Sermon left

And here are the numbers of the LAR/SF players for tonight's game:

QB - Matthew Stafford (255), Trey Lance (95), Jimmy Garoppolo (35)

RB - Sony Michel (325), Trey Sermon (88), Raheem Mostert (63), Darrell Henderson (55), Kyle Juszczyk (2), Xavier Jones (1)

WR - Cooper Kupp (220), Robert Woods (98), Deebo Samuel (55), Odell Beckham (50), Brandon Aiyuk (31), Van Jefferson (9)

TE - Tyler Higbee (88), George Kittle (25)

K - Matt Gay (94), Robbie Gould (16)

D - SF (125), LAR (55)

@TheWinz yes, thanks for posting...I was getting ready to add mine up and you did all the work. My rooster clearly isn't as good as those that have Stafford, Brady, etc at QB, and if only I had selected Kupp instead of McLaurin, which was one of my 50/50 decisions that proved costly so far.Good luck to all the posters!

@TheWinz

thank you for posting!
only 25 of the remaining teams have Kittle on their roster?
According to my math, Kittle started on anywhere between 571 to 580 of the original 9758 rosters, as we know he was 5.9% owned from the start, and there were 9758 entries.  @kyter1 spreadsheet shows him now on only 25 of 737 remaining rosters, so he has dropped down to 3.4% owned.

A cool coincidence is that the only regulars who still have him are @JoeSteeler and @Steeler

down to the remaining 553 of 9767 entries.....congrats to all who have made it!

Still a few more weeks of byes that could knock a few more good teams out, given the 25% cut each week, I am happy I have made it this far....but far too early to start dreaming!

I have a bye week issue (somewhat by design) in week 11 with my WRs but that is exacerbated by C. Ridley being unavailable.  I will need to use two scores from G. Davis, J. Meyers, and B. Edwards this week.  Good news is they all had usable scores this week (see below).  Hopefully, they can repeat and it's not a week too early.

G. Davis 13.5
J. Meyers 14.9
B. Edwards 17.8

192.9 this week would have kept me sailing towards the finals, even without Ridley and Chubb.   :kicksrock:
