Really interested to see how this team gels. Some solid players and still should be able to make the playoffs

He might want to win rings, but it isn't the most important thing to him.or he only wants to do it his way. If it was he would have stayed with the Warriors he would have at least 1 more ring and you could argue they would be going for a 4 piece right now.

The Morant hype is getting stupid as well as his father's antics. Between that and Brooks' shenanigans, they are becoming my 2nd most hated team in the NBA. Until Draymond Green retires, the Warriors are probably stuck in #1, but this Grizz team is pretty unlikeable.

Reminds me a lot of the post-Melo Nuggets. The Nuggets were 32-18 with Melo and 18-14 after the trade. They were objectively a worse team but they had a more enjoyable brand of basketball and were still very competitive.

It was a lot of fun for me as tickets were dirt cheap because everybody though the Nuggets were going to totally fall off. I got two tickets directly behind the Nuggets bench for like $100 total and got a whole row of tickets up high for $2 each and brought a whole group of friends.

this is why i will never understand when fans of a team cheer for the team's best player to leave

95% of them are going to stop watching the team's games unless the guy is there. and it's why ownership tends to hang on to guy's who are great but might be malcontents.

I've always viewed Simmons as a Tony Allen type. A horribly overpaid version of it.

I definitely think he'll be around 3 years from now. IF he still wants to play....

I think that's the big question with him. Is he going to want to play for vet minimum type deals after this one is up?

Josh Okogie has looked incredible for the Suns since Bridges traded and going to be impossible to not give him significant run if continues playing at the level he is. When he's getting minutes he produces. Guy's a DAWG and everything Suns need defensively next to their stars!!!! Averaging 20-5-2-2 in 3 games (35MPG) post-Bridges and led Suns in minutes last night vs. the Kings. Only thing he lacks is size so imagine they'll have to change him out of lineup based on matchups.

I'm not stupid and I know why the Lakers are on TV tonight, but my goodness has the league ever continually featured a worse NBA team all season long? They have the 7th worst record in the entire NBA and are 2.5 games out of the play-in tournament right now. AD & LeBron are all-time great players but the Lakers as a team this year are not good and LeBron is questionable to even play. How far ahead are the decisions made on who gets the prime time TV games?

mostly done before the year. the challenge is with the late window and also Tuesdays and Thursdays just not having a lot of games scheduled in general. The pool of games that can go at 10:00 is limited in the first place and there are usually only one or two other games being played on the same day that could even switch.

other days are easier, like tonight, the Sixers-Cavaliers was switched in for Nets-Heat.

The veteran big man has been out of the rotation since January 24, so this would give him the opportunity to seek out a situation in which he can play more. I'm bummed about this, but it's probably the right move. Ongoing health issues leave him unreliable on the floor and with Danny Green's signing he can fulfill the veteran bench voice in the locker room role.

I have zero respect for Kevin Love.

I recognize he's said in public he has some mental health issues/concerns. Obviously I am empathetic and sympathetic to those things to a certain degree.

However Love is a "front runner" When he was playing with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving and going to the Finals on the regular, he was "Rah, Rah, I love this team and love basketball"

When the Cavs were surprise winners when Rubio was there and healthy and Evan Mobley broke out, Love started caring again, putting in effort on the floor and was "Rah, Rah, I love this team and love basketball"

However when the team was doing poorly, and he was the highest paid player and the team veteran expected to be the leader, he sulked, got out of shape, and mailed it all in. Even the Olympic team told him to take his out of shape lazy backside and GTFO.

Now some might say it's the depression. OK, be depressed when you are winning too then. But he's not. His game also hasn't gotten any better from a skill standpoint. Sure, he was likely to always have some physical challenges on defense. However there was never a relentless burn to keep improving his game in every way possible.

Courtney Lee was a player of limited talent. Marginal athleticism. But he gave 300 percent every night, he gave all he had, he optimized everything he could, and he left no stone unturned. He had 1/1000th of the talent of Kevin Love. But his work ethic and approach was 1000 times better.

1 week since the big moves.....and this Nets fan couldnt be happier!

Yes the Nets are back to the pack of irrelevance but man do I like this team. Bridges has the look of a legit franchise player locked under contract and almost 10 yrs younger than KD. Both Cams are looking like very good complimentary pieces. They have scoring, depth and defense. They still have Ben but they play him short minutes and hes not really a factor in the future until hes an expiring to trade. They are still a bit imbalanced but figuring it out.

The Nets are still a good team - sorry Houston there will be no top 5 picks in the next 3 years - but more important to me they are likable and fun to watch. No more Kyrie in your face drama....no more KD threats and behind the scenes drama. They are one top player away from being able to make a serious run IMO and they have the assets to do it.

As a 30 yr Nets fan I really wanted a title but felt it would be tainted with Kyrie/KD - this team reminds me of the scrappy Kidd led Nets that I loved to watch. A lot needs to happen for them to be a true title contender but its going to be fun to watch unlike the last few years.

Easily the biggest name on the buy-out market currently, Russell Westbrook has yet to suit up for the Jazz since being moved at the deadline. The former league MVP has garnered interest from multiple teams since the trade, but it appears the Clippers are making a strong push for the veteran guard. Los Angeles is in desperate need of a point guard so the addition of Westbrook would certainly bolster their chances of making a deep playoff run.

It's just a bad team that should have been sellers at deadline with no Lonzo return in sight.
