2022 FBG Subscriber Contest is ON - Update - 1st place is $10k + $5k to food bank of their choice (5 Viewers)

Contest fun facts...
- All the teams that rostered both Gardner Minshew and Ricky Seals-Jones are still alive
- All the teams that rostered both Drew Lock and Auden Tate are still alive
- All the teams that rostered both Pierre Strong and Amari Rodgers are still alive

Nice find....

Here's the rest of the story..... (more fun facts)
17 had Minshew and 9 had Ricky Seals-Jones, but only 1 had both players ... and is still alive;
8 had Drew Locke and 4 had Auden Tate, but only 1 had both players... and is still alive;
12 had Pierre Strong and 30 had Amari Rodgers, but only 1 had both players... and is still alive.

"all the teams" in these three cases, equals exactly one team :thanks:
I figured it would be you to figure out I was only talking about 1 team, hehehehe

🤣 Yeah, that was pretty funny.

When I first read your post, I'm scratching my head and wodnering... who the hell would roster Minshew and Seals-Jones.... or Lock and Tate... or Strong and Amari Rodgers .
That's when I figured it was probably a number of teams I could count with one hand. Not too surprised when I saw it was only 1 for each pair.

It's not only 1 team for each pair - it's the same team for all 6 players!

Here's a blow. Just saw a tweet from Schefter saying Ja'Marr Chase is dealing with a hip injury and going to be out for 4-6 weeks... that is going to kill the Burrows/Chase stack that has been delivering the last few weeks.
That probably sinks my team if he is not back before the bye

Latest usage report (along with number of live roosters my players are on now). Welcome to the used player club Cade Otton! Hope you continue that tonight.

Otton seems to be the one sleeper that most of the contest slept ON :)
Sad as a Bengals fan with Chase being injured, certainly hoping that Mixon and Hurst can pick up that slack.
Happy Week 8 Everyone!

I'm feeling pretty good about my rooster right now, which is probably a bad thing. Obviously I'd need a lot of luck to win, same as anyone, but I see a path with Josh Allen at QB and Kelce at TE. Just need the rest of the supporting cast to bob and weave appropriately, especially while the Dallas D is on a bye week 9. I think Turpin will take a few kick-off/punts to the house along the way and become the darling of this contest.

My receivers are LOLZ. Like a stumbling drunk who manages to stay on his (or her) feet.

Thought bubble: Let's pool some money to buy a Rodrigo jersey for Kyle Pitts so he can feel like a real football player.

QB Josh Allen - $25
QB Davis Mills - $7
RB James Cook - $15
RB Rhamondre Stevenson - $15
RB Dameon Pierce - $10
RB Raheem Mostert - $8
RB Brian Robinson - $7
WR Michael Pittman - $24
WR Rashod Bateman - $16
WR Elijah Moore - $13
WR DeVonta Smith - $13
WR Kadarius Toney - $11
WR Nico Collins - $10
WR Jalen Guyton - $3
TE Travis Kelce - $30
TE Kyle Pitts - $24
PK Evan McPherson - $6
PK Rodrigo Blankenship - $3
PK Kaimi Fairbairn - $3
TD Dallas Cowboys - $7

But seriously, I think James Cook, Kadarius Toney, Elijah Moore, and Kyle Pitts are all prime candidates for beakouts in the second half of the season. The raw talent is ridiculous for sure.

Have we discussed the you kiss one,or two, goats phenomenon? Feels like Mark Andrews owners are about to find out about it. Sure, everyone has a bad week, but I'll bet Andrews has carried a ####ty roster or two across the finish line, thus fart. It only takes one step to fall off a clip.

It started good, but it looks like 7.8 points from Andrews is all we get. I doubt he returns for the 2nd half.

That’s 7.4 more points than he had last week

I bet he misses week 9 to get healthy for week 11

I have not heard of that phenomenon, and google turned up its own set of interesting-but-not-particularly-relevant results... care to elaborate?

Here's how the week started:

QB - Jackson (28.2), Brady (22.35), Huntley (0)
RB - Drake (14.7), Fournette (13.3), Edwards (6.5), White (5.8), Bernard (0), Davis (0), Dobbins (0), Vaughn (0)
WR - Evans (18.3), Duvernay (16.4), Godwin (13.5), Jones (10.1), Proche (5.4), Bateman (0), Gage (0)
TE - Andrews (7.8), Otton (4.5), Brate (0), Rudolph (0)
K - Succop (10.1), Tucker (9)
D - BAL (5), TB (3)

QB - Lamar (541) scored 1.1 below his average, while Tom (68) scored 1.85 over his. Only 3 rosters carry both QB's, so 14.75% of the entries start with 28.2 at QB, while 1.77% get 22.35 to begin. For those that rostered neither, I guess that's a decent start.
RB - Just under 5% rostered Fournette, while Drake was just over 1%, so not many got the double digit scores. White was the most common at 7%, while Edwards was the least common with only 12 remaining, but their scores are meh. For those that rostered none, consider it a good start.
WR - Bateman (7.63%) was the most common (Ouch!). The TB trio scored well, but none were rostered by over 5%, while Duvernay's 16 points were awarded to only 46 teams. Overall, the WR's scored well, but if you had none, be happy they weren't more common.
TE - Everyone wants to know if Andrews will miss time now. He is expensive ($28) and common (7.74%), and has Likely (pun) carried some teams with his high scores. For those that rostered none, you are in a great spot.
K - Above average scores for both, but not earth shattering. Altogether, 12.8% of teams started with one of their scores.
D - Below average scores for both. Altogether, 21.9% of teams started with one of their scores.

who got a little more banged up last night, and only put up 7.8 points...
Yep he was one I was depending on this week just like every week. Which probably means another nail biter. I did manage 31.50 so maybe another 125 points might do the trick. 30% cut going to be tricky for a lot of us.

I had no players in last night's game, and am almost as happy with my current 0 as I was with the 47 points I had last week at this time.

This information means next to nothing. I was just drunk and bored, so I posted.

Nick Sciba kicking for the Steelers. Undrafted rookie from Wake Forest that was pretty much a camp leg. He had a pretty great college career, but that doesn’t help anyone here.

At any rate, that leaves me riding with Bullock and (hopefully) Blanky.

FBG projections have my expected lineup around 157 points. I think that's the highest projected score I've had all year:

Henry, Chubb, Pierce, Stevenson, Benjamin
St. Brown, Sutton, Z. Jones, Pickens, Edwards, JuJu
Goedert, Hockenson, Schultz
Gano, Fairbairn, Blankenship
Arizona, Minnesota

I'm down JuJu and Corey Davis this week, and Courtland Sutton is doing terrible... I'm in trouble, especially without Kelce.

Nice.

Metcalf is listed twice. FYI.

Prater active
AND Blankenship active

-QG
Prater just kicked a 44 yard field goal. Weird that both kickers are active, but not looking good for Rodrigo... :frown:

ESPN update from around noon today:

With Prater back for the first time since Week 4, he's a safe bet to log field-goal attempts and point-after tries, at the very least. But Arizona signed Blankenship to the active roster this week to serve as an emergency option at placekicker for the Cardinals, and coach Kliff Kingsbury said he'd handle kickoffs while Prater gets the scoring opportunities. As a result, Blankenship isn't a certainty to contribute on the fantasy front.
