2023-2024 NBA Salary Cap Draft - SECOND Annual Battle for the Wikkid Cup - Preseason Rankings are In! (3 Viewers)

14.07 Christian Koloko, C, TOR $1,719,864

He's tall, and cheap, and currently hurt
Considered him instead of Jackson for my 3rd big role. But apparently his injury is a “respiratory issue” that’s kept him out since July, and the team refuses to provide details about it. Hope he gets better soon, very odd situation.
I've noticed increasingly how little information teams have to put out about injuries or other issues. It's pretty annoying.

I read some people speculating he may never play again, but they should at least have to put him on IR or equivalent for some defined period.

Not sure if this applies but the Canadian version of HIPAA is more stringent and applies more broadly.

A disabled player exception for $1.7M wouldn't be worth the paperwork.

Disabled player exception? Pfft, he's fine guys.

14.11 PG T.J. McConnell, $8.7M

I've actually been considering this guy for about 8 rounds now, as I consider him the all-time perfect 3rd PG for a team who can also be your #2 in a pinch, but he's a little overpaid for that role so I held off. Now, thanks to shrewd drafting and talent evaluation, I can easily afford him. He's perfect.

@scoobus @scooterpea @ScoopsAhoy @ScottIsInTheDoghouse
I heavily considered him when I was in the $9M range as well. Solid player.

As we get close to the last round, here is what everyone with only one spot left have remaining to spend:

Caustic $1.6m
Son of Pik $2.9m
Son of YM $2.7m
Eephus $2.7m
Kev $3.6m
DP $2.4m
Moops $2.6m
Thecatch $7.5m
Corp $2.8m
Nysfl2 $2.3m
Frosty $10.6m
Scoobus $2.5m
Instinctive $40.8m
Pik $8.0

Team Trader Jake
WAS SF Bilal Coulibaly $6.6 mil

Coulibaly is a ferocious defender that's a beehive of activity. On offense he doesn't look lost and had some surprising moves early.

The French rookie caught scouts attention playing with Wembanyama last season. Like him, he's poised on the court and doesn't back down. Entertaining, developmental deep bench spot here.

Yo Mama selects:

14.16 - Dennis Smith Jr. - PG/SG, Nets
$2,528,233

Some cheap defense and a bit of scoring from the guard position off the bench.
Another guy that has been on my short list for a while. He can capably run an offense and is a stud defender he is just so atrocious as scoring efficiently. Nice situational defender/3rd PG type.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was afraid you would snipe him.

He's the next Herb Jones.

14.19 Jake LaRavia PF, MEM - $3,199,920

Doesn't matter at this point, Coulibaly was the last guy who matters under $6.5M. Taking a shot on a younger guy who may get more PT as the season progresses as opposed to an aging vet who is on the decline.

I really hope that Instinctive takes Maxi Kleber or something and leaves $30M on the table. Peak comedy, IMO.

Pretty sure he is targeting Lavine. He wanted McCollum (who is a little cheaper) but is spooked by the collapsed lung.

There’s always one or two guys who end up like this in my local auction FF league

Lavine's 3P%, RPG, APG, and PER have all gone down every year since 20/21. But at least his salary has increased all those years!
