That 3rd Quarter was some hot garbage. Sucks this is the Mavs team representing the West. Would much rather be watching DEN or even OKC right about now.

I think the Luka foul was barely the correct one, but shocked the NBA didn't reverse it for the obvious reasons. I barely recognize the playoffs with that behavior.

There’s just no rhyme or reason on what’s a foul vs non-call any more. Pretty terrible all around.
It is hard to figure out, mostly. But missing that White grab was ridiculously bad. Official should know that Boston wants to foul there, he should be looking for it and it happened 6 feet away from his face, and White alerted him right after.

when the celtics are right they move the ball so well and play a great team concept game conversely it is pretty hard to watch the mavericks at time when it is just all one on one and i guess as luca and kyrie go so go the mavericks but they just havent gone very well this series take that to the bank bromigos

Doncic played 38 minutes, and they were +9 when he was on the court.

In the 10 mintues he didn't play, they were -16.

Good to see Tatum and Irving both finally have good offensive games, at least.

Luka fouling out improved the Dallas defense and Kyrie stepped up the way he can. I'm not sure it hurt them that much.

As a guy who refs HS games, I can say that getting those calls right in the NBA seems impossible to me.

They don't get slow mo instant replays. The refs have a single angle (sometimes a bad angle) look at live speed to make a decision.

Try and ref a 6th grade game and then come in here and talk about how "terrible" it is.

The two most difficult things I've honestly tried to be good at are playing golf and reffing basketball. Officiating football is 10x's easier than basketball. The number of judgement calls you have to make, the speed and constant transitions plus random unexpectedness are a recipe for inconsistency.

I wonder if the pain killers Luka is getting are why he starts so well in the first quarter and then he fades as the game goes on.
Physically, Luka is where Jokic was before he got in better shape.

I remember the last year the Warriors won the title and the Warriors abused the pick and roll against the Nuggets and picked on Jokic a lot.

To the credit of Jokic he had enough of that crap, we will have to see if Luka feels the same this offseason.
