2024-25 NBA Thread: Finals court designs NBA ordered off Temu finally came in (41 Viewers)

This Pistons team is fun.
No fear. Lots of ball movement. Everyone out there working their butts off.

I am unsure if i want them to go after the next star that will be traded or if guys like Ivey and Holland will develop into legit 2nd and 3rd options behind Cade.
Trying to think of good potential fits for them. They totally should have gone after Reaves when he was an RFA. He’d be a perfect fit for them skill-wise and age-wise.

If Phoniex blows it up Booker would be a good fit. Markennen also fits, so does Cam Johnson as a Tobias replacement.

Booker signed a two-year extension where he’ll be making $75 million per year when he’s in his 30s. I’d rather see what Ivey becomes.

I can't fault you for that, but I can't find anything that says he has signed that offer yet. Plus he would 33 when the contract ended that isn't that old for the NBA.

BTW, certainly not knocking Jokic for the flops. I have mad respect for it.

Come on dude, seriously?

When soccer players take a dive and writhe around on the ground, do you have mad respect for that? You'll probably lean on his size making it different but I don't see NFL linemen in peril from hitting the ground a hell of a lot more, with bodies galore.

I'm honestly curious. Would/do you teach kids to fake and/or flop in sports?

I like having Schroder on the team, he is a pest and can hit some open shots. I hate when Cade is on the bench and Schroder is initiating the offense.

Plus Jokic initiated that whole sequence. The Clippers player had his back to him. If you are talking about when Jokic got the tech.

In close games against good teams like this the Pistons are limited. They have three guys that can't really shoot or score, with Duran, Thompson and Stewart. They can really only have one of those guys on the court at a time, having two of them is trouble, and I think they had all three of them on the court for a minute which is a recipe for disaster.

April basketball is when JB's at his worst too.

Hopefully he learns and grows with the team.

He won't, but he's still the right coach for the team now. He just won't be the right coach in 2-3 years if things continue to trend well.

Actually didn't see the play, I'm just talking about flopping or acting **** out, in general. I may have taken it too literally or he didn't mean it how I read it, just saying I can't stand it. Certainly don't have respect for it. Do people really like it? It's sports, there shouldn't be a place for it. Play the game, not the officials. The sports in which it's become a "part of" I have less and less interest in. And that's fine; good even. And there's plenty to choose from nowadays.
