KG (favorite by far, suck it @SWC ), Mashburn, Edwards, Jason Williams, Rafer Alston,* John Stockton, Steve Nash, Jordan, Lebron, and Duncan.
I was a teenager playing a lot of pickup basketball during the height of And 1 (i.e. flashy dribbling and passing - which I could do okay at) so guys like Skip to My Loo and Jason Williams were at the forefront.

I got to watch him practice a ton and interact with him a little bit when the Wolves did their training camp at my college. I liked him. Practiced with similar intensity to KG (who may be the most intense athlete I've ever personally witnessed). Unique thing about him is that he always practiced in sweat pants and said that he'd play in sweat pants if the NBA would have let him.
From that experience, Terrell Brandon almost made my list. He was so nice to everybody. Wally Szerbiak (sp?) fell out of my favor because I walked by him in one of the more private halls of my college's gym and I overheard him tell his wife how much he disliked my college.

Yeah, he was awesome for the Rockets during their championship(s) run. Never saw a rookie come in so calm and collected. Great late round pick for them.

Dishonorable mentions:
- Bruce Bowen - The dirtiest player of the last 30 years, maybe ever.
- James Harden - Just hate the aesthetics of his game and how boring it is to watch with the foul drawing and whatnot.
- Anthony Carter - I still think the Nuggets beat the Lakers in the '09 conference finals if he just isn't on the team and turning the ball over in crunch time.
- Kobe - A combination of how much he was adored/overrated at the time and his wannabe-Jordan persona. Plus the rape.
- Chris Paul - I have a love/hate relationship with him. Underrated superstar and best pure PG since Magic. Whiny cheap shot artist who sucks to watch.
- Andre Iguodala - Turncoat *****.
- The child rapist, Karl Malone.
- Joel Embiid - Some of it might be the Jokic "rivalry" but I think it's mostly because he is a flopping turd who spouts his mouth in the media too often and doesn't back it up.
- Mason Plumlee - My least favorite Nugget of all time, I think. I just hate his game and how good he thought he was when he was a Nugget.
- Isiah Thomas (Pistons)- Most overrated player in NBA history, terrible coach and GM, terrible businessman, terrible person, sexual harasser. Continues to fail upwards.
Dishonorable mentions:
- Devin Booker - Front runner.
- Rudy Gobert - Just seems like a not fun person.
- Melo - I'm not upset with him leaving the Nuggets back in the day, but its childish that he pretends like it wasn't his idea. He also blames the Nuggets for Jokic taking #15.
- Jeff Van Gundy & Mark Jackson - JVG didn't play in the NBA, and I have no opinion of Jackson as a player, but I hate them so much as (former) announcers.
- Klay Thompson - Just because of the circle beard he had for years. Made him so punchable looking. No issue with him otherwise.
- Kevin Durant - I don't know what it is about him, I just don't like him. Gives me vibes of the rich kid that wouldn't let you play with any of his toys and just wanted you to watch him play with them.

@Kev4029 FWIW Mason Plumlee is an extremely nice guy. And he seemed super well liked by people in Denver.
No comment on how good he thinks/thought he was/wasn't, but of all the professional athletes I've met (not a small sample) he was pretty genuine and down to earth so I feel compelled to post. That is all.

He seems like a delightful person. No issue with him personally. He doesn't deserve to be on a list with multiple rapists and Isiah Thomas BUT that is how much I hated watching him.

Just played golf in a group or two behind him. With no fanfare afterwards he met with kids and signed all their randomness for like 30 minutes. Absolutely didn't need to. And he was cool on the course (compared to some pros who just pass word around to leave them alone).
He earned some cred today from me in my book.

He was on my list because I've watched and read everything there is on the guy, but I think if we had gotten to watch him play, John Havlicek would have been on a lot of lists.
He was my dad's favorite player and Wikkid touted his game a few times around here. Non-stop effort on both ends of the floor no matter what his role was.

Jordan - I am a Piston fan and all the complaining about the Pistons. I think Wilt said it best " they changed the rules to help players like Jordan dominate, in my time they changed the rules to stop me from dominating."

Any player that constantly whines to the refs for fouls, but when they are on they will talk trash all night examples : Harden, Draymond, Luka, Embiid etc.

I don't think these guys would be on my list of favorite players, but they are players that I had a personal attachment to:
Manute Bol - I'm originally from Connecticut, and my dad lived in Bridgeport. Manute started out playing at the University of Bridgeport. At the time, he was a local phenomenon. I went to some of his games, and it was a circus. Before him, the gym was mostly empty. Once the word got out (locally), you had to get there early or you couldn't get in. Opponents couldn't figure out how to shoot over him. He had a triple double in one of the games I went to . . . points, rebounds, and blocks. Word got out to ESPN and the NYC stations, and he started getting national highlights on Sportscenter and evening sports reports. It was hard to get into his games by then. I also went to Quinnipiac . . . which is referenced in this article. I met him a couple of times. Like everyone else, I gawked at how tall (and scrawny) he was.
Scott Burrell - Burrell lived in the town I was living in. I remember seeing him play a couple of times in HS. He was tall and athletic and played the bully ball style that was popular at the time (late 80s). I ended up playing with him and against him in pickup games and in a summer league. One time I thought I was coasting in for an easy layup, and he followed the play and blocked the ball . . . spiked was more like it. It went sailing like 50+ feet. I remember another time when I cut to the basket when he was on my team. I didn't think that he was going to pass the ball (he was more of a ball hog than a passer), so I slowed down on the way to the hoop. Of course, he tried a no look pass that went out of bounds, and he ripped me a new one to always cut hard to the basket and never slow down. I also saw him as a pitcher in HS. He threw in the mid-90s . . . the problem was he didn't have a lot of movement, so if guys caught up with the pitch, it went a long way. He ended up as a first-round pick in MLB by the Mariners (but didn't opt to play for them). The later got selected by the Blue Jays in the 5th round (and played a couple of years in the minors). In the middle, he played basketball and baseball for UCONN. His claim to fame in college was his length of the court pass with a second to go to win a March Madness game. He also was a first round pick of the Hornets and would later win a ring with the Bulls in their Last Dance season.
Wenyan Gabriel - Gabriel went to HS a few miles from my house in NH. His team played twin towers (Gabriel is 6'9" and their center was 6'10"). Teams around here stood no chance, as no one could match their height. He was in the same AAU organization as our son, and they would practice and workout together on skills and drills nights. A couple of times, I helped him work on his footwork, positioning, and post play. My son's claim to fame is he beat him in one-on-one . . . a future teammate of LeBron James. We had more exposure with his younger brother, but a couple years later, it was cool to have an NBA player come to watch some of your kid's games.
