2024-25 NBA Thread: Thunder starting to question having 140 pound guy playing in post in Finals (149 Viewers)

Ok, I'm 4 beers in so I'm calling it; Indy is going to win this in 6.

They are on a mission and I dont think they lose a home game. Carlisle punches a ticket to the HOF. Their depth and pace are going to be the new thing everyone in the league tries to copy.

He is already going to the the Hall of Fame. This would be his curtain call.

Just to add to the list the Knicks have been denied to talk to Quin Snyder. Lol
I would not mind a swap of Billy Donovan and Tom Thibodeau.

Donovan is a Big East guy, played and coached for the Knicks. Thibs can return to where it all began for his final coaching gig in the NBA.

I want to see the Knicks player reactions when they get pulled out of a game in the 4th quarter with six minutes left in a 25 point game.

I think the Knicks get a technical fouls for too many players on the court. Lol

You can also add having your #1 pick wallow on the bench for most of the season and you only give him the chance to play because of injuries and trades, and then are totally shocked that he is kind of good.

Pacers have dominated every 4th quarter. When the first three quarters are close, Indy is in good shape.

It isn't over yet, but I like the Pacers chances to close this out.

That was the Mathurin game imo

If I had to narrow it to one player
Ben is almost a lock to play somewhere else next year, but last night cemented his legacy as a Pacer. Nesmith is clearly injured and we're getting more and more from Ben on offense so we barely notice.
He is restricted and they hold birds rights on him. If they win the title I would think there would be a push to keep him around

I know we have a long way to go still, but let's say Indiana wins and Haliburton takes Finals MVP. Does he become the best player in the 2020 draft class? (Ant would be his competition)

Ant goes ahead of him in a re-draft 100/100 times, IMO.
I agree but who knows if we’ll have the same opinion five years from now.

I like Mathurin as a player and prospect, but I really hate when he brings the ball up the court and initiates the offense. It feels so out of control and forced. Last night he did it when Haliburton was out for 3 straight possessions and it was 2 horrible shots and a bad turnover.

Really? If Hali is the best player on a title team that knocks off a juggernaut like OKC (and I'm still skeptical it will happen), that will probably be a more significant accomplishment than Ant will ever have in his career. Maybe Ant is still regarded as better but I don't know why it'd be such an open and shut case.

Yeah that was unwise...

That should be either Nembhard or McConnell as the initiator, with Haliburton off the floor

Or McConnell's sister.
