2025-26 NBA Thread: Magic fan forced to acknowledge making NBA Cup semis best accomplishment in 15 years (6 Viewers)

i hate that anteater is probably on the way out but i will always love him and remember him as an all time great and one of the best bucks ever and i hope he goes to san antonio or golden state where he can play with great coaches and take it to the bank for a few more rings take that to the bank brochachos
The talk around old brew city and wisconsin including the morning show where the bucks stadium announcer works is that the Giannis talk is mostly ESPN trying to create a narrative to get him to a better ESPN network city. By all reports Giannis is happy and loves Milwaukee.
And the truth surely falls in the middle.

Speaking of point scoring streaks. SGA is 33 games away from tying Wilts record for most consecutive games with 20 or more points scored.

Boston finally figuring some things out.

I assumed they'd be around the 3-6 seed range but the early season struggles had me questioning that.

I know we have a lot of Dillon Brooks fans in here so thought you would appreciate the tribute video the Rockets did for him when Phoenix visited Houston. What a player

Mr Misunderstood

:lmao:
The dude played two ****ing years in Houston. What the hell are we even doing with these tribute videos. Come on

I thought it was hilarious as well but he's loved down here. They also did one for Jalen Green which kind of pissed me off. That bum doesn't deserve it :yucky:

And if he was playing poorly right now they would be happy they got rid of him and booing him.

Not at all. He did a lot on and off the court, always giving it 100 percent. Even though he doesn't play football, an exception should be made to nominate Brooks for the Walter Payton Man of the Year imo.

I disagree. David Robinson is the first person who comes to mind. Just an all around nice guy much like Brooks 💯

Desmond Bane cracks me up. Dude has been starting a lot of sh*t lately

LeBron’s 10+ point streak ended tonight at 1,297 straight games. For reference, only 24 players in NBA history have played in at least 1,297 games.
Durant now has the longest active streak of 10+ points. He’d have to do that 82 games a season for 12 seasons to beat LeBron’s streak.
Yea that may be an unbeatable streak. Holy cow.
Doesn’t have the longest streak if you count playoffs.
If my Aunt had...

Desmond Bane is very good and I do not care about the first round picks they gave up for him.

You sound like a T Wolves fan right after they traded for Gobert.
LOL yea ok
Are you ready for some scintillating NBA Cup Semifinal action? Can't wait for Bane to throw another hissy fit!

The Magic and Knicks have played each other three times already, and familiarity could breed some contempt -- especially with the extra financial incentives the NBA Cup brings.

That trade worked out pretty decently for the Wolves so you're fine.

It was just a joke. This NBA cup is more serious than I thought.
SERIOUS BUSINESS!!!11111!!!!11!!!1

Nobody called it serious but would you rather your team lose the games? Kind of a dumb reasoning. Breaking News: fan of team happy they won game.

I enjoy The Cup because I’m a nerd who likes tournaments and brackets and point differential tracking and stuff like that. Plus the Lakers will always be able to say they won the first ever (and only untainted) title in the greatest mid-season tournament in North American sports - and hung a banner for it.

More importantly for everyone else, most of the teams and players have bought into it and seem to have a much higher level of intensity for these games than a normal November or December regular season game. What’s not to like about that (except some of the godawful courts)?

Still wish it was a bit later in the season, but otherwise agree.

And still love the Laker shtick. Of course Lebron was going to go all out for the first one

So OKC is gonna break the regular season wins record, aren't they?

It looks like it, but as Kev said their schedule gets more difficult and watch if SGA, Williams etc start looking tired in February. I bet they get rested games because a back to back title is more important than that win record.

If they get to the end of this month with <2 losses they will have a shot. It basically takes one bad week and it’s not in the cards anymore so I still think it’s more of a longshot than what the betting markets suggest. It feels like they haven’t played a good team in a month, but I also think there aren’t a lot of good teams. The West is not nearly as deep as we thought it would be. Are the Suns/Warriors good? Teams at that level are drawing dead against OKC. Nuggets/Rockets/Spurs/Twolves is pretty much it. Lakers are an easy matchup for OKC.
