Pete Carroll was on Sirius saying that's exactly what they wanted from Geno and the offense.
I was shocked.
Sooo many short throws and why couldn't the Titans cover the TE when everyone knew he'd pass there. I expected more deep and mid range passes and...just more. It looked very stale to me
Until they fire Brennan Carroll, the game plan has to be fore Geno to get the ball out as quick as possible.
Pete isn't going to fire his son. He brought him on even though he consistently did not perform in Seattle. Will Brady/Spytek force it? Maybe, but not during the season. They might find a way to get him a graceful exit for him and Pete to save face. The line play has been bad. I am not sure if that is the reason Geno's play has been bad. I know from the Bears game that he was getting sucked into the defense baiting him. I would say that that was just the Bears doing a good job but it has been a consistent theme this season.
The line play isn't overly shocking but Geno's just huge regression has shocked me. I really thought that Chip Kelly was a real NFL OC, that Geno could have above average QB play and that we had play makers to make it work well. I was wrong.
