2025 Masters Thread - Was: Collin Morikawa will TIE FOR 14th at The Masters (2 Viewers)

There aren't rules against insider trading on the site but I'm guessing that Joe wouldn't be cool with it so this may not last long. I'm going to give you two pieces of information not available to the general public that you need to make a little bit of money tomorrow.

1) I bet Rory to win the Masters two months ago

and

2) I recently dropped a fork in the toilet (but not my lucky fork)

This cat 3 might make it to cat 5 sometime Sunday afternoon. Will be great drama if Rory can end his drought over a crowded field tomorrow.

The announcers kept saying that Rory and Bryson were the two most popular golfers on the tour. Really? Wouldn't that really be Rory and Scheffler? I didn't think that Bryson was all that popular.

Thanks to Social it's Bryson. He's all about it and the kiddos eat it up. The grandstanding went next level on the back though.

The crowd stare-down after his little ball goes in the cup is supposed to show he's tough, intimidating and really means business. He's Hulk Hogan, just ask him.

Let's hope Rory buries his "BAD" a$$.

Bryson gets a lot of respect from me for how interactive he is with the fans, especially kids. I didn’t really understand the state down at 16, I’m guessing he just got carried away? I’m also a Rory fan, he definitely pouts sometimes when not playing well but he’s a great talent and a good interview. Rooting for Rory tomorrow so he can finally slay this demon, but hope Bryson wins this at some point as well….

I’m bound and determined to head to Augusta next year, even if it’s just for part of 1 day. Gotta do it once.

Bryson knows how to market himself. He's been wildly popular for years because he's interesting and makes himself available to fans and viewers; he let's them in.

Scheffler just let's his game speak for itself, which is fine, he's the best there is right now. But he is BORING. Church boy, robotic, lives a mundane life, zero personality. He is great, but he's not popular. Never will be and he doesn't care.

Scottie can’t be that boring, he’s the only one out of them who did a bid.

Not the traditional pin place on 16th today. Back right. There will be lots of long uphill putts. I've read this is where it was last time Jack won. (y)

He wasn't. He's talked at length about how much his father's passing changed his approach to life, golf, who he is, and how he conducts himself.

BS or marketing?

But he acts very differently now.

i’m not a fan of the changed order of pin placement. i wonder why after all this time they decided to shift traditional (for me) placements.

Scheffler reminds me of Sampras. His personality just isn’t compelling despite him just checking every box in theory.

It's for Nicklaus 50year

The course switched the pin placement at the short par-3 16th to the back right corner, the opposite of where it traditionally sits for the final round of the major championship each April. The tournament did so to honor Jack Nicklaus 50 years after he drained a 40-foot birdie putt that eventually set him up for the win — his fifth at Augusta National.

well, that explains it. i still like the lower left placement that feeds balls on 16. i think ill get over it.

Great moment…but I’d prefer ‘86:
Jackie Jr: ‘Be good!’
Jack…as he’s picking up his tee: ‘It is.’
