Sorry, I was a bit tongue in cheek there. Doesn’t always come through in the printed word.
I agree - seems like Baker’s managed to get 2 OC’s HC jobs now. As long as the new OC isn’t a complete turd, Mayfield should continue to put up good numbers.
To me the most telling sign that he’ll be ok is he lost Godwin & didn’t miss a beat. Then for a couple games he lost Evans, and didn’t miss a beat. Then he lost Otton too for a while, and he was still putting up great numbers with largely a receiving corps held together by band aids and bubble gum.

Yep. I agree. Doesn't mean he can't regress, but he had a lot thrown at him the past two years and seems to have passed every test with flying colors (other than sliding and the occasional excitable hiccup that Baker is prone to).
But he's been good. I hope for his and the NFL's sake that it continues, because the NFL is a better league when the quarterbacks are good.

UPDATE: Kellen Moore is supposed to be in for an interview this coming week. Unsure (to me) if it's a legit interview for the head coach position or if it's due diligence on Mike McCarthy.
UPDATE 2: According to the NFL Network, Saints brass "could head to Philadelphia" tomorrow to interview Moore.
UPDATE 3: Saints' brass going to Philly for the interview for sure now.

Engstrand has been groomed to be the Ben Johnson replacement for a couple years. You can find media appearances on YouTube (he'd randomly have a press conference a few times a year), supposed to be a pretty smart guy and highly regarded. He was in front of the team frequently and introduced the game plan installs each week to the offense.
Probably gonna be a HC at some point.

I think Jordan Schultz earned a favor from someone. Believe Saints not only were interested but wanted to hire him, came down to power/control as reported by Josina Anderson and some others.

Raiders, Broncos, and Chargers all drafted their new starting RBs.
Chiefs have quietly had a solid offseason and draft.
Suffice to say, this division might be the best in football and is going to be a battle going forward as opposed to the cake walk KC has had the past decade.

Shane Steichen - this coach deserves better than the trash Indy gave him at QB. I imagine he'll be the top target for teams needing a coach in 2026. If he survives the season, it'll be a miracle.
Mike McDaniel - Fools gold. Fun guy to root for, excellent offensive mind, but he is a good bet to lose the job before the season is up.
Dabol - I think he keeps his job as the Giants are the surprise team of the season.

Brian Callahan possibly losing his job has been talked about since January-a result of the worst record but also Levis' terrible play.
The (yet another) QB whisperer has to get things right with Ward.
If his dad does turn the OL around this year they'll forget he coached the worst unit last year.
Dan Moore has a lot of detractors at LT. Pollard is older. Ridley has not been the elite #1 he was expected to be. Chig only usually has a few good games late. Their offense is a house of cards BUT they have rookies they really like.
Their big free agent add was benched by the Broncos last year but they have two second year ILBs they love.
Snead looks like an awful trade (their current GM was integral on the other side of it) He supposedly is healthy but regardless they have some young CBs ready.
Their back with no ACL is out injured. Their steal of the draft safety was awesome for a few days and then missed the rest of camp.
House of cards that he has to make into something or else they'll have a new coach that can get things in line for their new stadium in 2027.
Their defense allowed the second lowest yards in the league last year. Their DC may very well be the replacement. If the defense rocks and the offense stalls he could even have a looming presence.

Shane, I'm sorry. I once plunked down money on your to win Coach of the Year when you won games with like 7 different QBs (none of them any good) so I knew you could coach. I shorted you here prematurely. Carry on, Coach.
