There was no shtick involved. I had no desire to do this. We spent several days looking for somebody else to join up so that we could have an even number. Nobody volunteered. I didn't want anyone to drop out or have to wait a round to play. This is such awful shtick.AcerFC defeats timschochet2.
I think it was a good way to handle the situation. There was no shtick involved. I had no desire to do this. Moves in Kutta. Sorry about the absence - more snow than expected yesterday and with the kids home from school, it was crazy here.Witz and I started yesterday and he's gone AWOL today. Hopefully we can really get going tomorrow.
My general rule of thumb is, if you know what you're doing in a particular situation and playing for a win is low risk, play for the win. Of course it's hard to know if something is low risk or not if you don't know what you're doing. General rule for beginners is to play on so you can learn whether or not something is a risk and how to play that position.Should I have declined that otello? Wasn't completely sure whether to accept, but didn't see a lot of room to attack after I got the pawn back and figured I'd only end up regretting it if I pushed too hard.
I would not have blame you if you had declined. You were pressuring another pawn as well. Can't argue with SB here.Should I have declined that otello? With the A pawn on white my bishop couldn't help, and the E pawn could have been supported by F once you moved the knight. Might be an attack there, but I put the odds on me messing it up higher than the odds of you not being able to defend. I also think you're the better player so I was OK with the draw.I would not have blame you if you had declined. You were pressuring another pawn as well. Looking over the game now. After 20. cxd3, Black is probably a little better with his extra pawn but his pieces are passive. He can hang onto the pawn, but it might doom him to inactivity. After 22...Nd7 I don't take the draw offer as White. I have one active rook already and I can get the other one active pretty fast. His center pawns are locked on dark squares which will be targets with the Bishop. The a4 pawn might be a liability also. This looks promising for White. Here's the game if you want to see the final position

I think he got psyched out after I complimented you on your endgame technique vs tim.We have the same rating and you have beaten me in our only match. I think we are pretty even. My issue is that I may make a strong set of moves to gain an advantage, only to give it back with a poor decision.
He's definitely beaten guys who've cleaned my clock.SacramentoBob said:I think he got psyched out after I complimented you on your endgame technique vs tim.otello said:We have the same rating and you have beaten me in our only match. What's this?Slow going but we're moving along.
Really like the analyze feature.
Down at the bottom for me. It allows you to move the pieces freely when looking at future moves. It's a nice feature. What's this?Slow going but we're moving along.

People commenting on their current games and dropping clues about the position is odd shtick.
Rascal has been ill.Rascal and I are averaging 1 move a day so I'm not sure what you want to do.
Well, to be fair, I'm sure we both made a ton of mistakes. But ignorance is bliss, am I right?spOOfy said:psychopav defeats spOOfy
