Andyjaywalker just resigned from our game, but I'm not sure if that was a mistake or not... we were still very even on pieces and involved in a pretty tight battle. I'd like to wait and hear from him before declaring this over if that's ok with you?timschochet said:Round 5

Im going to challenge you to a game, Jofferyou're 20 mins from timing outJoffer and I are also underway.
joffer beets Psychopav. I was ahead a piece, but it wasn't over. Hope everything is okjoffer said:you're 20 mins from timing outJoffer and I are also underway.
I was afraid of that. Pitfall of the format. I'm traveling for work and I don't have access to chesstime.joffer beets Psychopav. I was ahead a piece, but it wasn't over. Hope everything is okjoffer said:you're 20 mins from timing outJoffer and I are also underway.
PS - I'm really sorry I dropped the ball. I had meant to call home to my son and ask him to give me your moves and update mine on his tablet, but the travel day threw me off and I wasn't able to connect with him yesterday or today. :(I was afraid of that. I would be happy to finish via pm and PGN format if you're on board with that. PM me the PGN and I'll respond with my moves. Doesn't have to count for the tourney, I'd just like to finish the game.
I actually had some hope in this game, then BAM, over.AAABatteries wins over Bogart.
Yep, I thought you had me but managed to get in a good spot. You were probably going to have to sacrifice the Knight to keep the game going.I actually had some hope in this game, then BAM, over.AAABatteries wins over Bogart.

That Kf2 move is interesting - I'm not a serious player and don't really study so it's not surprising I've never seen that but I haven't. Actually I'm supposed to play e5, then he plays Kf2. It's some trap move opening. I don't know it, so I might have fallen into it. But after d5, Kf2 leaves his susceptible to an early assault on the king, which was exactly what I ended up doing.
Playing 12. e4 would've lost to dxe4 13. fxe4 fxg3+ 14. hxg3 Nxe4+ 15. Kg1 Nf2 forking. This f3, Kf2 opening is garbage.You can never say that Dancing Bones doesn't play outside of the box.
