49ers @ Broncos - Game Thread (1 Viewer)

wow - time snuck up on me.

Thanks.

1) Manning (how is his arm?)

2) TE battle (for FF) Dreesen or Tamme

3) Hillman - is he the heir apparent at RB?

4) Stokley - will he be relevant?

5) Moss/Manningham - or does the #2WR in SF even matter??

Has the word been given that Hillman is playing? Last I heard it was up in the air.

If he's playing that's my #1 thing to watch. Hope to hell he looks better than Pead...

Don't forget John Clayton's report last week that Manning is having trouble throwing more than 10 yards to his right.

Keep an eye on that.

I thought I read it was to his left. Happy to be wrong, but I think that across the body throw might make more sense.

ESPN guru John Clayton pointed it out to me this summer. While he thought Manning was his usual self throwing to his left, he had issues throwing to the opposite side. After two preseason games Clayton explained to me that he thinks Manning has improved in the area but that he still has problems when the passes are more than 10 yards.

They just chewed up and spit out one of the best defenses in the league.

Encouraging to say the least.

seemed able to throw to his right just fine this drive...have we confirmed that the concern was on throwing to the right?

Vintage Manning on that last drive - against vanilla but still one of the league's best defenses. I don't have Manning rostered, but he's my favorite player of all time. Glad to see him doing well.

Smith looks like his play is still high quality. Crabtree may be a breakout player this season. Several targets already.
