Aerial Assault

Since no one's suggested it yet, I'll volunteer the idea of googling en passant.
Jweldy not found but nysfl2 worked. Let me know if you got it.chesstime name is jweldySure. I think nysfl2 on chesstime, but I'll have to confirm.
Tim - I'm fine with you playing the dutch vs myself or pickles (or Kasparov) but vs Getz and his rating mates, you should be forced to play the Grob only.
Gotta play to win, John.Honestly it didn't. You should have known about en passant, but the move didn't cost you the game. It was still probably your best move. I was threatening Nf6 +, and after Bxf6 (you can't leave the knight there), exf6, I've got a protected pawn on f6 and I'm very close to mate.that move cost me the game. Damn.
Sorry. I asked for updates for a full week and never heard from you.Well poop. I received das boot from the tourney? Poopers
I posted my email address for anyone who wants them added to an analysis board. I was hoping tim could link them to page 1 so people could go through them but they are mixed about the thread here.Come on guys, post some more of these games so us people who are way too busy to play can go through them! I need my fix.
I finally broke his damn Stonewall with some odd obscure sideline my coach showed me which I prepped specifically for timmy.I'm getting 'nam flashbacks of Tim's maroczy bind fetish while going through a couple of games Bender posted (that I missed).

I tried the Tromposky to start, he ignored it. Then hit him with whatever the #### you want to call this (an H Pawn charge).

i could see them before. Says the address is invalid. Could be because I'm on a mobile deviceI can see it, maybe something wrong with your browser?I can see why Tim resigned, that position would positively suck to try and save against a good player.i can't see the game, FYIHere it isHe obviously resigned way too soon.I finally broke his damn Stonewall with some odd obscure sideline my coach showed me which I prepped specifically for timmy.I'll post the game in a secondI'm getting 'nam flashbacks of Tim's maroczy bind fetish while going through a couple of games Bender posted (that I missed).

Installed the app and it does auto-open but isn't letting me analyze - do you have to register an account to analyze in mobile? It does if you grab the app pickles. Im not a very good player. My openings are what I know.Thanks. Yes, tim is a little too reliant on his preferred openings. It does if you grab the app pickles. Agreed. I spent hours at a time going over his favorite openings before I played him in the laSt tournament. When we first started playing he beat me regularly because I was consistently worse out of the opening.Tim is a very good player.
Here is the game for anyone that's interested. Quick comment about what was happening after 7. cxd5: the correct move for black is to retake the pawn, however McGarnicle declined to do so, which really threw me! He had been playing a fairly solid Slav setup up to that point so I thought I was facing someone that knew a bit of opening theory. But declining the pawn isn't good so I gave him two chances to rectify his mistake (generous holiday spirit) but he refused, so at that point I just went for the kill. McG got a good setup out of the opening but then didn't follow through. Not that there would be any doubt, but Kasparov did prevail in our game.
Yeah but that's all I got. Once people figure it out I'm too rigid in my responses. I know that and I'm trying to get better but my tactics just have never been very good. I just don't see things that the really good players, like Kasparov, Pickles, and you see. My openings are fine for club play but they're flawed against really good players. I shouldn't be so beholden to them but I'm kind of stuck because I haven't learned all of the tactical traps involved in the better openings and I fall for that sort of stuff easily, so I'm scared to play them. I'm petrified of open positions.Green and Gold said:Agreed. I spent hours at a time going over his favorite openings before I played him in the laSt tournament. I asked several times for an update, even an indication that your game had started. I got no reply from either of you. It was not the length of your game but the lack of response which forced me to remove you from the tournament.NajehHejan said:? In a fun game, and joffer's not the kind of player you can slip up against. I don't play too much against Grunfeld.joffer beats Aerial Assault
Had some heat going there for a few moves. Couldn't quite put it all together though. Anyone's game at this point, I think.dancingbones has Juxtatarot on the ropes.
