______ Passed Away Today, RIP (2 Viewers)

Singer/songwriter JD Souther, 78

He was more successful at the latter with a string hits for other artists from the 70s El Lay scene. As a performer, I've always liked his 1976 album Black Rose.

Such a prolific songwriter in that scene and had a great voice to boot - also was known as quite the swordsman in that circle.

In addition to Doug's mention of "You're Only Lonely", I've always liked his duet "Her Town Too" with James Taylor.

Really love that song alot. I know it's JTs album, but I thought Souther (and subsequently us) got short changed on the song. I would like to have more back and forth duet and less Souther backing up Taylor's lead. :2cents:

Dame Maggie Smith, iconic British actress, two time Oscar winner and known for Downtown Abbey and the Harry Potter films, dead at 89.
For better or worse, I always associate her with Thetis from the original Clash Of The Titans first, since that's the first role I saw her play. She was, of course, great in the role, pretty chilling when she let the doomsaying fly.

Lesser known…but as a kid id be subject to Days of our lives when sick and and Grandma’s house. Then in college it became a fun thing to watch and laugh at our apartment with our girlfriends. RIP John Black. This guy was born to be a soap opera actor.
