+1I say this sincerely - he was one of my favorites here.
I remember tossing some barbs and witty banter back and forth last summer in one of my music threads.

if anyone could get us an obituary link that sure would be appreciated
He was intelligent and not afraid to share his thoughts, well liked and I remember him from the early days around hereWow. Deserves its own thread. That’s painful to read.RIP @FatMax (Seth). One of the originals on the board and an all-around awesome and hilarious guy. Passed away last Wednesday. Way too young.

So sorry to hear this. RIP Seth.
I think we have a separate thread for FBGs (Or if we dont, we should).
I think we need that too. I'm not very good at the search feature here, but perhaps the thread was created and has floated to the back pages?
We're really lost some quality people over the years and it would be nice to keep their memories alive here. I wonder if it would be too much to ask for a thread like that to get pinned to the top? Suppose we could as Joe, but curious what others here think.
So sad - can only hope that it was peaceful and without any pain.Since so many folks are asking, all we know is that FatMax died from a brief, unexpected illness.
CBS Sunday Mornings were never the same when he leftCharles Osgood, long time CBS newsman and bow tie enthusiast, dies at 91.
Always enjoyed The Osgood File as I was getting ready for work in the mornings years ago. RIP.Charles Osgood, long time CBS newsman and bow tie enthusiast, dies at 91.
I first saw the name as Gary Oldman and I freaked out. Then I calmed down and read the name again. Luckily Mr. Oldman is only 65 and still with us.Actor Gary Graham, 73
Primarily known for the Alien Nation TV series/films. I remember him mainly as Tom Cruise's older brother in All The Right Moves (mentioned in that article).
One of my favorite Seinfeld characters. Truly convincing as a menace to Jerry & Elaine. And as often is the case, said to be the complete opposite in real life.

"Brand New Key" is one of my least-favorite songs of all time. And "What Have They Done To My Song" is so on-the-nose, it may as well have been a Paul Simon record.Singer Melanie (Safka), 76
Best known for her big hits "Brand New Key" and "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)". Dazzled at Woodstock.
Her material and voice were not my thing at all. But a guy on my text chain of 5 middle-aged dummies reveres her and is devastated. RIP."Brand New Key" is one of my least-favorite songs of all time. "Lay Down Candles....." though, is something different. Whoever decided to pit THAT voice against THAT band and THOSE singers deserves a Nobel Prize.
Boomer Alert! This is the most ravaged female vocal this side of Ann Peebles' "I Can't Stand The Rain".
She went different, man. She wasn't trying to be Aretha, Joni, or Barbra. All respect to her.Her material and voice were not my thing at all. I'm sorry I missed this. I agree we need our own thread for important stuff like this to keep it separate from the mostly celebrity stuff.
We were fortunate to have @FatMax as a part of the community. Would love a link to an obituary if someone has it.
How about the same title as this thread with "FBG Edition" added at the end? What should we make the title of the forum posters thread?

I was just re-watching Arrested Development for the dozenth time and recently finished his episodes. That was a cute storyline, and it seemed like Weathers had a fun time with it. RIP.RIP Carl Weathers at 76.
