One of my favorite bands (New York Dolls) and I was just asked who they were by the girl at the convenience store. I explained briefly and got a thumbs up and an affirmative nod. I am actually sitting here in SoCal with the shirt on and about to order a sort of deluxe treatment of the original NYD album, which is ready to go in another browser. I almost ordered a shirt to defray his medical costs and I still think I might (and ought).

Long story short: big fan here, and RIP to him and condolences to friends and family.

Also recorded an interesting version of Jaws in 1976, a year after the movie came out. Would probably have been the soundtrack version used if the movie was set in Studio 54 rather than Amity Beach.

He had a really good show in Sirius XM's The Loft channel called The Mansion Of Fun. It ran every Sunday for 3 hours starting at noon ET. When he passed away, one of the Loft-related FB pages had a mentioned that they'd continue to run encore episodes. And there's a lot of them - he had to have done that show for 15 years at least.

There's a great baseball podcast I listen to called "Lost Ballparks". The interviewer (I forget his name) interviewed Parker a couple of years ago before Alzheimers started taking its toll. Guy and his staff really do their homework and Parker had some good stories. Highly recommend it especially for Cobra fans

She mentioned that she always he impressed that he was a clearly a star and had flash but never appeared ego driven or rude. Things she appreciated as a parent I guess.
