A-List Celebrity To Be Outed As A Sexual Predator (1 Viewer)

Sounds like there's going to be a lot of openings in Hollywood for jobs.  Time to sharpen those acting skills, @shuke - We could be the next Tango and Cash.

I'm Cash, btw.

Who gets outed next for sexual assualt? I'm going with John Travolta, I don't think John is necessarily into little boys but there have been multiple reports about unwanted sexual contact by him towards male masseurs in the past.

I got the axe here for 18 months for making reference to Mr. Travolta preferences so I'm just going to keep my #### hole shut this time.

from what I've seen of that lea rimini scientologist show, that group will burn the entire country to the ground before letting anything happen to cruise or travolta.

Probably why I got 18 months for saying basically what everyone here is saying - Joe is a scientologist; who knew?

Kevin Spacey loves to meet straight men at parties and events, and use his celebrity to lure them to after parties where he gets them drunk and high, and then suddenly tries to blow them. He's another Bill Cosby. He's well known in Hollywood for harassing male staff on productions. And he famously made a false police report a few years back after he was assaulted by one of the many men he's tried to blow. He picks his victims perfectly, because what straight man would want to be famous worldwide for accusing Kevin Spacey of a sexual assault? And the staff he harasses on productions are too afraid of destroying their careers to say anything. Kevin Spacey is a disgusting scumbag.

Page right out of the priest's playbook where they targeted children from broken homes or with other known problems to abuse, using local status within the church as the shield against the victim being too scared to saying anything to the authorities. Makes me sick to read things like this, no matter what the abuser's sexual proclivity might be.

So.... What kind of parent allows their 14 year old kid go to an actor's party alone?
probably the same that allow their kid's agent or publicist to go with them. going to a party is an business and networking event. bringing your parents, unless they are connected or involved in the industry, won't help you. Agent or publicist, however, does know why your kid is there.

Good question.
at a guess... kid is from elsewhere and is either visiting, living in LA for a specific job, or trying to become an actor with one parent or guardian there with him (there's an interesting documentary about these kids). his agent, manager, industry person or better known co-worker (who might've been spacey himself- I don't know the story), invites him to the party and says it would be a good idea to go. parent/guardian might've gone with- or maybe just the trusted agent or manager because the parent has to work or is elsewhere. at this point... dunno. I wouldn't let my kid out of my sight if it was me... but maybe the kid was at that age that he wanted some space- and it's kevin spacey after all... big famous guy is going to try something and risk his career?

In 1986, Spacey was unknown. He and Rapp were both in their first Broadway gigs of their careers. Rapp said after the incident he decided to just forget it and move on, and expected he would never see Spacey again. After all, he was 26 and a nobody in the industry.

Then he went to see Working Girl in 1988, and was not only shocked to see Spacey on the screen, but for him to be in a scene where is was trying to have sex with Melanie Griffith was like a punch in the gut to him. As Spacey's career took off, he couldn't get rid of the memory.

ah... yeah- I said I didn't know anything about the story.

broadway? yeesh. tough gig for a kid... working all the time, getting out late at night every night. our son has been up for a couple parts over the last year, and while it would be exciting for him to get them, a 10yo having to work late nights wasn't ever going to work for us let alone him. what we've seen/heard about the industry- these kids are doing a lot of stuff on their own... commuting (locally, at least) and dealing with adult responsibilities.

but I'm with you all... 14yo kid going to a party with adult cast members? If he's dead set on it, I'm going with him... and damn skippy he's not disappearing with an adult actor. I wonder if the kid and family- having worked with spacey- had developed a sense of trust and familiarity with him to feel comfortable doing that? spacey offers to show the kid something... and then makes his move? dunno... again- I'm not letting my kid out of my sight there... but I could see circumstances where it could go wrong if it happened fast with a trusted colleague.

Luckily this will not ruin The Usual Suspects for me one bit for obvious reasons.  Hell, it might even enhance it.

Other than that . . . sick.  I'm glad Rapp came forward.

That scene near the end of American Beauty is really eerie now. Was he drawing from personal experience to act the scene?
The shower scene at the beginning is almost as eerie. I remember thinking at the time, "How could any straight man think that Annette Bening wasn't attractive??"

Yeah, they sure are.
No they are just now starting filming on season 6. They are going to continue filling season 6 and then end it. So he's got work for another few months and Netflix has the next year covered.

Ending it would mean stopping production now and cancelling season 6.

You're being a bit silly.  They announced immediately after the allegations that the show was history, and that wasn't preordained.  Cancelling the season under production would violate contracts and throw crew members out of work.

Ok. I understand. What I meant to show was that Netflix was misleading everyone the way it was presented today in the media
