Well, considering he had proof to back up his innocence, I would say that it's fair. 

This is sarcasm, right? His "proof" is that they had consensual sex after she turned 18.

That doesn't prove that he didn't also try to molest her at any point during the previous 4 years.

None of which means that the story should be reported so obviously sympathetic to Chachi. They seem to have made up their mind on the validity of the accusations.

A Director of a TV show is much different than a Director of a movie from my understanding. I'm by no means an expert though but it is my understanding that most TV shows have rotating directors, one director does this episode while another director does the next and so on. The fact that Baio was the director I don't believe tells us anything regarding him playing a role in casting for the show.

I’m certainly interested to see how this plays out. Rumors for years that Baio took Eggert’s virginity although I believe the rumor was at age 17 but only two people know for sure and each seem to be telling very different stories.
