AFC Championship Game - Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (1 Viewer)

That's a TD, methinks.OK, no more posting for me. GL all.
Not a TD. I think the spot was correct. If, however, the proper interpretation of that rule is that that's not a catch, that's BS. He took a step with the ball to lunge toward the goalline, with the ball fully in control.

Hey Simms, if CBS would show replays, then maybe you would see he dropped it.

Bad call imo. 3 feet HAS to be considered a football move.
:tinfoilhat:I think this is akin to the Tuck Rule play, where it's a rule problem rather than a call problem. He clearly had control enough to make a move for the end zone. Furthermore, he was already down by contact after having established possession when the ball came loose. It's a stupid rule.

So by reaching for the endzone and losing the ball instead of just going down, it is somehow incomplete? That's an idiotic rule.

Could there be worse group of athletes for that Guitar Hero commercial?

AfRod, Kobme, Phelps and whoever the other guy is (tony hawk?)

I have no dog in this fight. That was clearly a catch. Seeing as how the refs are supposed to have incontrovertable evidence to the contrary, that overturn was completely unjustifiable. Horrible call.

Has here ever been an instance where a coach hurt his team by challenging a play because the officials' decision found something worse that should have been caught?

I don't think Baltimore was ready to review that play if Pitt accepted 1st and inches to paydirt.

I hate the Ravens more than I have ever hated any football team. Howthey keep pulling this lucky bull####, on the road, no less is beyond me.

That is one of the worst calls I have ever seen.

"NFL RULES are not to my liking, and the Refs called it right".
The interpretation is if there was a football move prior to him going down. There were clearly at least three steps, a dive, and a hand on the ground prior to losing control. That is not what the rules say an incomplete pass is.

I know I watched a game (couldn't tell you who was playing or exactly when it was) when a coach challenged a catch IIRC, and was not only not successful, but it resulted in the ball being spotted differently, and to his team's detriment. It wasn't a gigantic change on the spot, but it did work to his detriment.

Kind of like the phantom Holmes TD the last time they played?
Typical Clowns fan. Sorry you lost the original Browns and are now stuck by a perpetual expansion team that gets owned by the Steelers.
:goodposting: Keep  about the refs. They already gave you 1 SB win.

I thought they got rid of the "football move" rule? Isn't the rule now you have to control the ball all the way to the ground now?

Maybe I imagined this rule change.
