AFC Championship Game - Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (1 Viewer)

And this is the concern with Flacco and the Ravens. They really aren't equipped to come from behind, and score TDs when they need to.

TD Santonio Holmes.

Just letting you guys that keep on *****ing about the bad call/good call that Pitt scored in case you weren't paying attention.

Move on guys, move on.

This is the buttwhoopin' I kinda thought it would beStillers = solid. Cardinals, get ready to face your first good team.
Pretty arrogant. The Panthers and Eagles are good teams. I also seem to recall a pretty unheralded Steelers team winning an unlikely Super Bowl a few years ago, so you also seem to have a short memory.

I love when people say that Big Ben isn't a good QB.

As a Pats fan I am forced hate the :goodposting: , but you can't deny he is one of the games best.

Cards are reminding me a bit of the Giants of last year. Super hot team winning games despite being the underdogs. Nobody believing in them. Going to be a huge underdog to either the Steelers or Ravens. Nobody believing that they deserve to be there or really have a chance to win.

One TD from the offense and one from Ed Reed; that's how they roll.Seriously, if the D makes plays, they'll get back in it.

I'm glad they didn't give Holmes the catch on the goal line.

The less contraversy the better.

Pitt should win w/o any questionable calls.

I did not say that the Cardinals would not beat the Steelers. I merely implied that the Steelers are in a different class than the Panthers or the Eagles. The Cardinals are red hot, I wouldn't pick against them at all. They got a little complacent against Philly today for a while. They won't have to worry about complacency on 2/1.

They aren't in the conversation with Pittsburgh. Sorry.
If you look at it, the Falcons were ok but you had them at home so you should win. Jake Delhomme and abandoning the run won the Cards their second, and Philadelphia pretty much took a whole half off today. Cards are ok, nothing more.

They wouldn't be huge underdogs to the Ravens, they might even be favored.

OK might be enough if Ward and now Harrison are injured. More probably to come in the second half. Also, don't count the Ravens out. They won't quit.

Dodge Ram Commercial:ShotgunFiremen"Cowboys""Military" <--- It says this on the shirts, so we knowLOLLOLLOL
:shrug:It's a stupid commercial, apparently aimed at guys who think that Jean Claude Van Dam is a god or something.
They also drive through some sort of explosion, while listening to Linkin Park, because it could happen to anyone.
Now flying over jumps with flamethrowers. This is a great series of commercials!

Ah yes, the Backpeddle. The Steelers "are in a different class" but "I wouldn't pick against the Cardinals" - this way I'm not wrong no matter what happens.

Is anyone else doubting that the Ravens can score >13 points to win this game, even with an overtime?

You think I'm selling a back? What part of "the Eagles and the Panthers suck" are you missing?

Nope. That's why this game is nowhere near over and the Steelers need to find a way to score a bunch more points. If they go into a shell offensively, they will lose this game.

I sure am. And I'm not suggesting the Steelers change what they're doing, either. But I'm just not seeing much chance for the Ravens offense to win this game. Ed Reed will need to work his magic IMHO for the Ravens to come back. This isn't merely based upon the "0" on the scoreboard, either. They just can't seem to do anything against that defense.

Running the ball up the middle for a yard or two twice in a row is pretty shell like, BTW.
Smart inside the 20 midway through the second quarter when your defense has been dominant.

Harbaugh going to the well once to often on challenges. Now they're out for the rest of the game. I like him a lot, but that might arguably be a classic "rookie" move. You don't want to be unable to challenge a huge second half play unless you're certain you're right and can get that third challenge for getting the first two right.l

Yeah the Ravens have been in this situation twice this year and they got crushed both times (IND and NYG). Flacco has the arm to make a big play or two but as a team they have not shown any ability to come back this year, even a little. I'm calling this one over.

I thought they got rid of the "football move" rule? Isn't the rule now you have to control the ball all the way to the ground now?Maybe I imagined this rule change.
So if I catch the ball, run forty yards and drop it, it's incomplete?
Yeah, that's comparable.
It pretty much is, as he had taken three steps with the ball...
No, because you aren't likely to be "going to the ground" for 40 yards. See my example above, however.
He made three steps and a hand plant - he was no longer "going to the ground" -- he had successfully landed and was proceeding.
